I'm a fool I admit it. There are those self-proclaimed sports entertainment news-sites that offer us fans a chance to read about what is happening within the sport we love.
Yesterday I posted on Steve Austin thinking the man had just walked from doing the paperview after having to lose to Mark Henry. That's not really the truth, hell we don't even know the truth. The same site today leaves a rumor that oh says that Austin is really hurt. I'm irked, seriously I'm ashamed I look at those sites. Who do these people think they are? Journalist? Credibility is something that REAL journalist partake in. Torrie Wilson not gone, just had a family emergency. COME ON PEOPLE. Fact check. I'm just blowning off steam, my apologies.

^ You've got the right to blow off steam. The sites are notorious for posting rumors. I'm not sure you should ever take them seriously. It's always best to wait and rely on the primary source of a story.
Other than that, they make for fun discussions!

Yeah, those places are bad for rumors.
But wrestling fans have to use their rumors for discussion, because the WWE is totally untrustable when it comes to info. In the past they have covered up turmoil within the business, and lied about it, and then incorporated it into storylines.
I'm sorry, but take all rumors with a grain of salt, but those rumors are the only thing for fans to get info about, because the WWE lies when it comes to this stuff. They put their own spin on it, and don't usually tell it factually. So as far as rumors go, fine, sometimes they're true, sometimes they're not.

I agree that rumors are a necessary evil....but to a certain extent. Things like someones job i.e. Torrie Wilson or the release of superstars. When that information is wrong it comes back to those people and for a moment if we all could imagine reading in the news today that we got fired.....you're heart would sink. I know that some rumors actually help, diffinitely Matt Hardy is back because of these sites but again when it comes to someones employment that should be hands off. Some WWE superstars don't make a great deal of money, especially the ones that are usually released.

Austin really did walk out.
You're looking at the wrong sites, it sounds like. There are plenty of sites out there that just copy their news from the REAL sites, or just plain make it up.
wrestlingobserver.com is pretty much the only one I trust.

Isn't that site associated with Dave M. a professional widely renowned as a crackpot who really focuses on negative propaganda just for the sake of playing savior to Vince's heel.
My whole beef is with fact checking, I have no problems with reporting news. Just like Dan Rather getting fired for not checking his facts, someone has to hold them accountable for not checking their's.

But it's not like The Real News, anyway.
This is wrestling and it's all make believe. The Internet with all of its various communities and news sites are just part of the overall Soap Opera. Don't take the news or the wrestling for that matter serious.

Exactly, I digress though. I'm refering to the whole Torrie Wilson comes home and finds people calling her about finding work when...sites where reporting she had been fired.

In his head. I can't stand those sites and their pandering. Pandering should be fun and done in a forum like this one. We pander and it's fun, they pander and call it news. I'm a smart @$$# I don't claim to report on anything.
