okay.. im relatively new to watching svu and i had a couple of questions cause some things just dont make sense to me. I know that in the beginning it was said that Olivia's mother was raped, but then i just read somewhere that she wasn't and that liv's mom lied about it. what episode was that in or is it not true?? also... what is up with eliot and liv.. are they not on good terms and if not, then why... thanks a bunch to anyone who can help me out!!
P.S. if anyone knows of any really good SVU sites, PLEASE let me kno. thanks!

okay Olivia's mother was raped, what you read about her not being raped was the from the old USA episode guide summaries(which that part is wrong).
At the first the writers weren't going to have Olivia's mother be raped, but then when we see the episode "Taken" the parts where it says Olivia was lied to are cut out, but the script was just never changed back it was a mistake on the writers part.
In the end the writers didn't want to go that direction with Olivia's mother not being so they left it the way we see it now. You can see the deleted scenes(the original script) of the funeral and when Olivia's mother lies to her(she finds a letter explaining everything) on the season 2 DVD set that was just released in Septemeber.

olivia's mom WAS raped... that is how olivia exists!!!
this is a quote from one episode:
(talking about a baby of a raped woman who got pregnant)
Elliot: .......They're keeping it.
Fin: Why?
Elliot: Wife's Catholic.
Munch: Still, I've never had a keeper with a stranger rape before.
Elliot: John, Olivia's mom was raped by a stranger.
Olivia: My mother made a choice.
Elliot: Look, Olivia, we were just talking about...[voice trails off and is cut off by Olivia]

^that also rules out a one-night-stand or rape thing for olivia if she gets pregnant... and i hope her and elliot dont get together... even tho they would be cute, that would be too weird.
