By the popular demand I'm going to re-post VirtuJAG Episodes

Welcome to the first highly experimental analysis of the non-existent (yet!) JAG episode.
We begin with a brief recap of the previous 10 seasons, both Harm and Mac - their adventures, court battles and courtship. We end this sequence with a McMurphy scene and the coin in the air.
The opening credits are different from the original JAG - music is the same but there's no more people, just planes, tanks, ships. The reason for the change is that Mac and Harm are no longer technically a JAGs. There's also a few new names who'll become regulars it's up to you to decide who are the actors.
The episode starts at Mac's new office - so apparently she won the toss. But why there's a framed coin showing heads (assuming that JAG logo IS heads)? How did the coin toss ended? Let's wait and see.
Mac, beautiful as ever, is preparing for the staff call. She's sporting a diamond but lokks like there's no wedding ring.
On a staff call we see a mix of faces, familiar and not - Coates, Mayfield and two new people: Navy Commander (female, do you want to see Meg, or Kate, somebody totally new) and Marine Lt. Colonel (male). Harm and Mac reincarnation, or Kate and Tony (NCIS) - again it's too early to tell. I did like the first order of business for Mac - send Coates to OCS. I'd like her with Lt's bars.
Almost a half of the episode had passed with introductions and explanations what this Joint Legal Services Office will do - I won't go there (honestly, I have no idea). And still no mention of Harm.
After the commercial we see Mac's yeoman giving her a message that her husband will be arriving shortly. Was it a slip of the tongue? Bad script?
Mac is leaving and gets into her 'Vette. Now, just recently we saw her in "Soul Searching" getting what looked like a convertible or a Targa roof Corvette. But for the rest of the series the top was always on. Now that "mistake" is rectified - Mac is clearly is having a convertible and it also looks like a newer model. Anyway, we can see that the office of this new JLSO is on Naval Air Station North Island. On a background are carriers "Ronald Reagan", "Nimitz" and our old friend "John Stennis" aka "USS Patrick Henry". There's a chance to see Skates or Capt. Ingles. Now across the Coronado Bridge and beautiful San Diego skyline. Looking at Mac we can see that she's just HAPPY. But apparently Harm doesn't come to the San Diego airport - Mac passed downtown, Mission Bay and is going north. Aha, the destination is a Palomar airport. And here comes a familiar yellow Stearman and her pilot (BTW, are the planes also referred to as 'she' like ships? Sounds so weird to my Russian-trained ear).
A lot of hugs, kisses, "I miss you"'s. Harm is telling that court went as expected and they will have custody of Mattie, her rehab is also doing great and the she's going to be released soon. In the meantime Bud and Harriet will keep an eye on her. Seems strange that Harm would leave her at this time but maybe it has something to do with his job - we still don't know if he has one .
They drive back home. From the scenery it looks like they live in Carmel Valley but the house is a surprise to Harm. It looks like Mac "pulled Harriet" on him with a help of Harm's parents. The house is relatively small - just two bedrooms (Mattie's on a first floor and second floor master suite) but there's a big lot, three car garage, vanishing edge pool and jacuzzi, even a putting green and a breathtaking view. Shameless plug. My friends had a house like this but you can hardly afford it on a military salary (if you're not a 3-star General/Admiral). But it's my show now. Although I moved a house a little bit more south from Rancho Santa Fe to make it more "affordable".
Anyway the location is almost ideal - UCSD Medical Center, Miramar and La Jolla are a "stone throw" away. The morning commute is going to kill Mac in RL but in the show traffic will magically disappear.
In the next episode:
What is Harm's new job?
What does Vukovic do in San Diego?
Wedding is mentioned. Again.
See you same time next week.

Strange title, isn't it? But that's what it was - another "standard" JAG epiosde.
Let's start with Mac.
She really fits the office - strong but not stiff, stern but not gruff, and with the omnipresent sense of humor. And she is much more confident and self-assured than before. No surprise here - her personal life leaves no more doubts about being "unworthy" or about the love and commitment from Harm (and Mattie). There was a little flashback to her last days at DC when she alone went to visit Mattie. They talked about their move (in general terms, so not to spoil a surprise) and Mattie promised to get better for the wedding.
Oh, the wedding mystery. Seems like the wedding is in a planning stage yet, but Coates let slip something about "your husband".
Enters Harm and another mystery is solved. He is now running the Investigative Navy Service (NOT to be confused with NCIS, or INS ). It looked like JAG Southwest was divided into two branches - investigative (not just criminal, but mishap, accident, etc.) and judicial (anything court related). And a big surprise in Harm's staff - Lt. Vukovic. The reason for his reassignment was Gen. Cresswell. It was an interesting scene in General's office when Gen. and Harm briefed him on his new orders. General's phrase: "If you could find a witness in Nicaragua in less than 24 hours and information on Col. MacKenzie that was not intended for your knowledge you might as well put your talents in the ways productive to the Navy", and Harm's "If you step one inch from the straight line in regards to any personal relationships within the office and especially in regards to Col. MacKenzie, you will find yourself searching for a missing snowflake in the middle of the blizzard in Alaska in less time that you need to zip your pants, Lt." leave no doubt that Lt. Vic will be doubly careful in dealing with Harm and Mac. He may become a good boy after all.
Another addition to Harm's staff is Gunny Galindez (bowing to the popular request) and a civilian contractor Oscar Mark Feldman (Shameless plug, of course, but the name, although fictitious, has its reasons) .
As far as the B-story goes looks like a case involves a Naval Submarine Base closure in Washington state (I know that DOD plans to close a New London base in CT, but this is MY Navy). Lt. Mayfield is involved and so is Sturgis. It will play into several episodes.
And no new episode will be without showing Harm and Mac outside of work. This time it was a stroll through the Seaport Village with a carousel ride and talk about their adventures on carriers while watching USS Patrick Henry across the San Diego Bay. BTW, Harm has a new ride. To keep with a tradition it's Navy Blue Lexus GS470.
In the next episode:
In a two part episode Mac is getting involved in a theft of Navy weapons across the globe. Who's there to help her? Where is Harm?
Stay tuned.

Welcome to the 2-part episode of VirtuJAG. This one is somewhat of National Geographic variety although it deals with serious matters.
We begin at Mac's office when she receives a phone call about stolen American weapons from the Navy base in Turkey. It's been thought that these weapons are destined to Chechen terrorists planning another Beslan-type attack. In the different manner from the previous 9 years (although not unexpectedly) Mac immediately contacts Harm and next thing we see is his office. They talk about dangers and it's been revealed that Mac will go undercover as a Russian because there's reason to believe that weapons are being transported through Ukrainian port of Odessa. Enters OMF who will accompany Mac and help her with his contacts.
In the next scene Mac and OMF are in Vienna en route to Odessa. They "casually" meet at the streetcar on the Ringstrasse and talk about their plans. That's the last time when Mac is "still" an American. From now on she is Yekaterina Petrovna Kolokol'chikova Which is exact Russian interpretation of CB's name. We see beautiful views of Vienna - Royal Palace, Stadtopera (arguably the most beautiful opera house in the world and the second best - some say THE best - will be seen later), University, etc.
Two days after Mac arrives to Odessa. She's going through the crowd of "gypsy cab" drivers but spots OMF who's also pretending to be one of the cabbies. Soon they are on their way to the hotel - a little 6-room mansion located on a sea cliff with a beautiful view.
In the meantime Harm is worried but he has to trust OMF to keep Mac safe (unlike Webb). Also we see Mattie's therapy sessions and Bud making her do the exercises just like a Corporal Whatever-his-name made him do it.
Back to Odessa where Mac and OMF looking for the missing weapons. There's a lot of location shots - in the harbor, on a Seashore Boulevard, at the famous Deribasovskaya St. and, of course, Opera house. Sometimes things are getting a little hairy, especially when OMF suddenly runs into his ex and he and Mac have to think quickly. They pretend that they're a couple and perform a very convincing kiss for the benefit of the ex. Later OMF apologized and promised to be a good friend and not a wedge.
Finally, OMF's contacts give them a lead and at the cemetery, standing by the graves of OMF's family members, they're giving a date when weapons will be transported on board the ferry from the nearby port of Il'ichovsk to the Georgian port of Poti for the bandits.
Unfortunately for the team, they were met with an ambush and OMF is seriously wounded after killing two of the attackers. The last thing Mac hears is a heavily accented voice: "We meet again, Ms. Kolokol'chikova, or should I say Col. MacKenzie".
To be continued...

Continuing a tradition of recycling episodes and slightly unrealistic plot lines JAG goes on with a conclusion of the overseas adventure.
We don't see Mac at first, but apparently OMF's injuries were not as severe as previously thoght and he made a call for help to Harm. Leaving his office in "capable" hands of Lt. Vuk Harm and Gunny are headed to Odessa. On the way in Harm makes the phone call to old "friend" - Maj. Sokol - asking for help. It appeared that Sokol had some information but couldn't act in any official capacity. But after Harm's pleas and appeals to Mark's "feelings" for Sarah (which Mark didn't deny but told Harm that any man and not just a trained KGB operative could see that they were meant for each other and his "dinner dates" were nothing more than friendly. And he offered his congratulations on their marriage, although how did HE know that is a mystery. But he's a spook after all) Sokol agreed to help. After arriving to Odessa the team met at the theme restaurant 'Deja Vu' (half is full of Communist cliche's and the other half is an Al Capone's lair) and Harm is for a big surprise - Mark shows up with Sergey in tow. And apparently Harm is not as crazy vegetarian as some think - he ate like everybody else.
In the meantime Mac is on the ship going to the Georgian port of Poti. She's not harmed but locked up in a tiny cabin trying to get out. All of a sudden her captor makes an appearance and this is no other than corrupt Gen. Krylov from 'Legacy'. He managed to evade a prosecution and still scheming to kill Russian President. His plan is to ram a bus full of explosives in Presidnet's motorcade during his trip from the airport to the dacha in nearby resort city of Sochi. At first they are going to blame the act on Chechen terrorists and then reveal that American military and CIA are involved - hence American weapons and Mac who can pass as Muslim woman. Unbelievable, yes. But it's TV after all.
Anyway, Harm and the others are on their way to Sochi also. And in the best traditions od JAG they use a car only the driver now is OMF and not Alexei. The reason is simple - that's the only way to catch a slow moving ferry (forget about planes, there's no commercial flights from Odessa to Sochi or around).
Now the action starts. Mac (still alive and well...reasonably) is strapped inside the explosive laden bus. Gen. Krylov follows the bus in a helicopter and drives it by a remote control. Harm and the team commandeered the helicopter (using some Sergey's connections) and are chasing the bad guys. In the following scenes Sergey is wounded by a strafing bullet, Harm is flying the chopper in a fight with Krylov, Mac is in the bus on a windy mountain road desperately trying to keep it under control (looks like she had control of the steering but not the engine or brakes). Finally Harm managed to blow up Krylov's chopper and switched to task of rescuing Mac. He managed to fly over the bus, lower Gunny on a roof and they pulled Mac out of the bus at the last moment before it hits the side of the mountain. From there on Harm flies the chopper to the USAF base in Incirlik, Turkey. Finally on a solid ground Harm and Mac share a passionate kiss (unlike a Paraguay) while the others just stand around with smiles on their faces.
In the next episode:
Harm and Mac recuperate after their adventures in Russia. Mayfield and Sturgis face-off in court.
Stay tuned...

Looks like a new season of JAG is like a James Bond movie - a cross between love, action and National Geographic. Today's episode is no exception.
Our heroes are back in the States but in desperate need of some R&R - they are all injured. OMF has a grazed head, Sergey has a bullet through his shoulder, Harm has a flesh wound on his side that he didn't even notice during the Mac's rescue, and Mac has a shoulder injury and a concussion. So the first order of business is a little get together in H/M house. It appears that the Eastern European cuisine was in real agreement with both Harm and Mac tastes so OMF organized some of his Armenian and Odessa friends to do a special BBQ - mouth watering shish-kebobs, other kebobs, ham-and-potato salads, feta cheese pierogis, salmon salads, pickled eggplant salads, etc. Harm's parents and all the friends from JAG and INS San Diego are here with the exception of Vukovic and Mayfield.
Switch to the B-story and see Mayfield and Sturgis in court in Washington State on a case involving a PO on board the submarine charged with a dereliction of duty when the piece of equipment he was maintaining made an excessive noise. Sturgis was able to prove that PO's actions were deliberate to enable the enemy to track submarine's movements.
Back to San Diego. Harm and Mac talking to Mattie on a phone describing their adventures in Russia. She's concerned but her progress is good and she hopes that soon they'll be reunited. She also asks about wedding plans. Harm assures her that she's definitely going to be there. No more details, so we still need to wait to know what's their "status" is.
Both Harm and Mac are still on medical leave so Frank desides to send them on a little boat trip. Next thing we see is Harm and Mac on a beautiful 50-foot Sunseeker making its way north. A lot of eye-catching scenes with Mac in "infamous" blue bikini and Harm in a swimming trunks, shirt (unbuttoned) and captain's cap. A lot of fun, sun and love. The evening meets Harm and Mac in Laguna Beach where they stroll along the Pacific Coast Highway among the little antique shops, art galleries. Finally they have a dinner in Laguna Inn restaurant and then drive back to Newport Harbor (about 15 miles) where their boat is moored for the night. Next day they play golf at the Newport Beach Golf Course (home of the Toshiba Senior Classic) and do some shopping in the nearby Fashion Island. In the afternoon they continue north to Long Beach.
In the Long Beach we see them touring Queen Mary and Russian submarine. On a Queen Mary Mac replays CB's photoshoot for the FHM magazine although she has more clothes on (I have almost no problem with that photoshoot - if not for the uniform it wasn't worse than anything you can see on any California beach). And another romantic dinner - this time on the upper deck of the Parker's Lighthouse restaurant overlooking the harbor, downtown and Queen Mary. Again in their conversation thw wedding was mentioned but at the same time Harm called Mac 'Mrs. Rabb' a couple of times. We'll find out soon.
In the next episode:
Back in Washington - Mac is a Judge and is she in for a BIG surprise?!!

Jul 13 2005, 08:09 PM
Welcome back again.
We start in DC where one of the judges is accused of bribery. General Cresswell has to decide on who's going to preside over the trial and he choses Mac.
After the opening credits we see Mac in her office absorbing the news. She calls Harm telling him that she will be away for a while and promises to see Mattie. For some reason Harm doesn't look too surprised or upset. In the meantime he assignes Vukovic and Gunny the case of missing classified documents from MCAS Twentynine Palms.
In DC Mac is busy with the trial (details of which I will leave to your imagination or my potential co-author's creative mind). But she has time to visit Roberts' family and spend some time with Mattie. She's doing really fine and now we have our surprise number one - Mac's and Harm's wedding is going to be on July 4th in San Diego. Doctor tells Mac that Mattie will be able to travel at that time and her transfer papers to UCSD Medical Center are being prepared.
The trial is over, judge is exonerated and Mac has her first surprise - General orders her to appear in the White House Rose Garden in full dress uniform. Mac is trying to reach Harm to find out why, but nobody is on the phone either at work, or home, or at Burnett's. Next morning with all of JAG in attendance Mac is presented by the President Bush with a Legion of Merit medal (I think that's the fitting award for all things Mac had done all those years).
Her next surprise is when General says that she's out of uniform and calls Captain Rabb (yes, you're correct, it's Harm) to present her with Colonel's eagles. Enters Harm in dress whites and proudly places new jacket on Mac's shoulders. Congratulatory kiss follows and a little whisper promising a "proper congratulations" later. Mac is simply beautiful here (there and everywhere ).
And finally the gang is again at McMurphy's for the wetting down. A lot of toasts, good-natured jabs at both Mac and Harm, even a joke from General about not having to play baseball with a certain coin. Finally the party is over and everybody is reminded to be in San Diego promptly. Harm and Mac drive together to the Wall and Harm introduces Mac as his wife to his Dad and also apologized for not being there at Christmas, but for a very good reason.
Next morning Harm and Mac visit Mattie and there's a surprise number three - Harm tells them that the final hearing on Mattie's behalf is in two weeks and from what he's hearing from the Department of Child Protective Services the decision would be positive especially in light of the fact that Mattie is going to have both parents, not just Harm. And H & M are off to the West Coast in Frank's corporate jet (no Harm is not flying, he's otherwise occupied ).
Next week:
In the Alternate Universe episode and a tribute to the space shuttle Columbia crew JAG cast plays a possible rescue scenario (if NASA realized a damage to the shuttle).
OldManFan
Jul 13 2005, 08:10 PM
Before I start, let me point out that the scenario of the rescue mission described below is technically possible and probably was the only way to save the crew of the space shuttle Columbia. The rest of the plot is just TV.
Dedicated to all astronauts and cosmonauts.
Cast of main characters:
Cmdr. Jim "Harm" Harmon, USN - Harmon Rabb (DJE)
Lt.Col. Yekaterina "Mak" Makarova, RSF (Russian Space Forces) - Sarah MacKenzie (CB)
Head of NASA - Adm. Chegwidden (JMJ)
Russian President Putin - Gen. Cresswell (DA)
Head of the Russian Space Forces - OMF (OMF)
Mission Controller, NASA - Bud Roberts (PL)
Columbia Pilot - Capt. Ingles (GG)
Columbia Crew - Coates (ZM), Harriett (KT), Tiner (CC), two male guest stars
ISS Crew - Alex Volkonov (AK) and a guest star
Russian Pilots - male guest stars
Bad guys - Gunny (sorry, people, but he looks the role)(RV), Vukovic (to compensate for the Gunny) (CB2), some Oriental guest stars (no racist assumptions, please)
CIA Agent Webb - Clayton Webb (SC)
On to the story.
We start with the preparation for the shuttle mission and some background for the crew. A little sappy at times, but we learn that Harm and Mak have known each other after successful rescue mission when Harm pulled Mak out of the freezing water when her experimental spacecraft crash landed off the coast of California and Vandenberg AFB.
On a background bad guys are plotting a way to hijack an International Space Station to use it as an Fractional Orbital Bombing System (a little farfetched but similar concept was actually developed in the Soviet Union in the 60-70s). But the intelligence community, namely Webb, is getting information about the plan.
Now the actual mission has begun and (as in RL) immediately after the lift-off the Mission Control knows that something was wrong. Bud (the MC) has about 15 seconds to abort the mission but of course nobody can make such decision that quickly so the shuttle enters the orbit. The crew is informed that there's a possibility of a structural damage and Harm suggests that Webb is contacted (apparently they knew each other). Admiral contacts Webb and they reposition one of the spy satellites to take a close look at the shuttle. Unfortunately the enemy also noticed the movement of the satellite and realized that this is their opportunity.
Back in Mission Control the view of the damage to the shuttle is clearly visible and desicion is made to organize a recovery in orbit. Because of the uncertainty of the safety of the shuttle fleet it is grounded so the only means to rescue the crew is to use the International Space Station (ISS). But there's another problem - because original shuttle mission didn't call for a docking to ISS, the shuttle does not carry a docking module (the module is not a permanent part of the shuttle - why carry the dead weight when it's not needed) and the crew does not have Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) suits for everybody (again, EVA was not in a mission profile).
NASA needs help from Russians because only they have manned and cargo craft capable of the rescue mission. First, shuttle is positioned close to the ISS, and ISS crew constructs the tether bridge between the crafts. Second, the unmanned cargo vessel is launched, but instead of the cargo of food, water and oxygen it carries the EVA suits for the shuttle crew. Third, the ISS crew carries suits to the shuttle and using the airlock the suits are delivered. But, during the spacewalk one of the spacesuits develops a malfunction and Harriet needs an emergency landing.
Now some technical background.
1.The Russian spacecraft Soyuz can be configured to carry two or three people.
2. One of the crew has to be a qualified pilot.
3. Craft docked at the ISS is configured for only 2 people.
4. To land all the crew of the shuttle (7 people) requires mimimum of 4 crafts.
Back to the show:
The situation now stands as such:
1. Docked craft will be used to transport injured Harriet to Earth by ISS co-pilot.
2. Russia needs to scramble 3 more manned crafts in 3-man configuration plus a cargo craft to deliver water, food and oxygen. Remember that ISS's crew suddenly swelled from 2 to 9 (or 7 after Harriet and co-pilot left). Also they need boosters, fuel and launching facilities (AFAIK, from two cosmodroms they can launch up to 6 crafts at the same time or in a rapid succession but it's almost impossible logistically).
3. One of the available cargo crafts is already been used to deliver EVA suits and Russia is left with only one cargo craft ready.
So NASA and Russian Space Forces use all available resourses to prepare 3 more manned crafts, boosters and pilots. All eyes are on the factories and two cosmodroms. The coordination is precise and Russian and American Presidents are personally involved.
To make the matters worse the cargo craft carrying the supplies to the ISS is blown up during the lift-off and the time pressure becomes the major factor - ISS will run out of oxygen in 16 days. In the meantime Clayton Webb and the CIA are trying to determine if the cargo craft failure was a deliberate act or a tragic accident. At the same time the bad guys came to the conclusion - if the crew of the ISS will be dead or left the station then they will have a right to board the "abandoned" ship and claim it as their own. And China has a means to achieve just that. So Vukovic is on his way to China to find allies in the mad scheme to blackmail the world.
At the end of the first hour the first craft arrives at the space station and ISS commander is preparing to carry Coates and another crew member to safety.
Next week:
Unexpected problems arise, bad guys making the move and Mak to the rescue...
Stay tuned.

Jul 13 2005, 08:17 PM
At the conclusion...
We begin with a little retrospect to the first part:
Space Shuttle Columbia (Commander - CDR Jim "Harm" Harmon) experienced structural damage at liftoff.
The only way to recovery is to carry the crew via Rusiian Spacecraft(s) Soyuz and International Space Station.
During the transfer to the ISS one of the crewmembers (Harriet) is injured and requires immediate evacuation. ISS pilot uses the docked Soyuz capsule for emergency landing.
Terrorists are planning to board the ISS after the crew is evacuated and use it for the global blackmail (either orbital bombardments or bio-weapon release). They obtained a support from China.
Cargo craft ferrying food, water and oxygen to the ISS is blown up upon liftoff leaving the window of onlt 16 days to rescue the remaining crew. It requires 3 more manned crafts in 3-seat configuration and 2 more qualified pilots.
On Earth Mission Control (Bud), NASA (AJ), Head of Russian Space Forces (OMF) and even the President Putin (Cresswell) are scrambling to prepare spacecrafts and boosters for the rescue mission. One of the major participants is Russian Lt.Col. Yekaterina "Mak" Makarova, who was rescued not long ago by Harm when her experimental spacecraft crashed near Vandenberg AFB. She and Harm have a long-distance relationship since.
Now to the show.
Next two flights to the ISS are relatively uneventful and by the time of the last launch only Harm and his co-pilot (Capt. Ingles) remain on board. But when the craft sent for their pick up is already lifted off the CIA (Clayton Webb) discovered that Chinese are also ready to launch and board the "abandoned" space station claiming it as a derelict and giving the bad guys their platform.
Mak relayed this information to Harm at the ISS and he decided to meet the challenge head-on. After the last Soyuz craft departs Harm is left alone on the ISS at the same time creating the impression that he's on the descending spacecraft.
Bad guys (Vukovic and Gunny - sorry again) boarded the ISS but instead of abandoned derelict they are met by an angry Navy Commander. The ensuing struggle is left Vukovic dead and Harm injured. Gunny tries to leave the station but in the process of disengaging his craft from ISS he damaged both the craft and the airlock. He can't control the descent and his craft is burned at re-entry.
Now injured Harm is left on a ISS which is slowly leaking air. At this rate the air will be gone in 2 days. Plus he's injured.
So the only available spacecraft to rescue Harm would be the second article of the experimental craft that Mak crashed in and she's the only qualified pilot on this type of the spaceship.
After strong argument during which Mak all but revealed that she's in love with Harm it was finally decided to let her fly to the ISS.
With a few hours to spare Mak arrived at the ISS. At the same time Harm managed to don an EVA spacesuit and is waiting for her in the airlock. Displaying superb piloting skills Mak managed to bring her spacecraft to within a few feet to the airlock and Harm finally got back to safety. But he's badly injured and there's no time to wait to land in Russia. Mak decided to land in the US and after the harrowing descent when Harm almost passed out from the G-Forces they are safely on the ground in Texas.
Luckily for them they are immediately spotted by some local folks and Harm is immediately transported to the hospital with Mak by his side. The "I love you"'s follow.
6 months later.
The wedding of Jim Harmon and Yekaterina Makarova. In attendance are all members of the Columbia crew, Mission Control and Russian cosmonauts. Special greetings are delivered from the Presidents Bush and Putin.
Their primary residence is decided by the coin toss .
In the next episode:
The "real" wedding of Harmon Rabb and Sarah MacKenzie (or is it Rabb )

Finally, the mystery of Harm's and Mac's marriage is going to be solved.
We begin at the ending of the "Fair Winds and Following Seas" - beautiful shot of Harm and Mac anxiously waiting for the coin to land. But at the last moment the strong arm dressed in Marine green intercepted the fall. Gen. Cresswell says that although technically Mac won the toss there's no need to go to the extremes and scuttle a promising carreer of one freshly promoted Capt. Rabb. It follows with something along the lines of higher ups realizing that it's much better to have them together and happy than a world apart and miserable. At this point Harm interrupted the speech (politely, of course) and comes with a solution - because Gen. Cresswell is JUDGE (emphasis on Judge) Advocate General he can legally marry them right at the spot (just my speculation). He adds something about "to maintain proper order and discipline".
Everybody is stunned but Harm promises that the "other" ceremony for the rest of the friends and family will be held in San Diego.
Later he tells Mac that it was necessary to ease the process of Mattie's adoption and Mac replied that if he wouldn't have thought of Gen. Cresswell she would've drag him to the nearest Justice of Peace in the morning.
Back to present the preparations for the wedding are in full swing - Mac is shopping for a dress, Harm is arranging hotels and limos for the guests, everybody's busy.
It is all being interrupted by a lot of flashbacks when another guest has arrived (like Kate's words and H/M looks in 'Touch And Go').
Finally the time has come for the actual ceremony held in Burnett's house (Chaplain Turner is officiating, of course). Camera pans across row after row of familiar faces - Meg Austin, Kate Pike, Bobby Latham, John Farrow, Tom Boone, Mattoni and, of course, present crew - Sturgis, Keeter, Gunny, Tiner, Coates, OMF, Mayfield and even Vukovic. Gen. Cresswell is also present with his family as well as Mikey Roberts (with Cammie). Let's not forget family - Sergei, Burnetts, Grandma Sarah.
Now to the greatest surprise. When Admiral starts walking Mac to the altar another Marine in dress uniform stands up and takes her arm from Admirals. Yes, of course, it's Matt O'Hars. Flashback to the hearing where Harm, General Cresswell, AJ and even former SECNAV Nelson testify on his behalf. After serving 10 years of 20-year sentence Col. Matthew O'Hara is finally free man (on parole). Mac is almost crying and sends her impressive looks of love to Harm. Reaching the altar she whispers her thanks.
The ceremony is traditional but not without humor. After Chaplain asks for any objections to this marriage Mac quite loudly whispers to Harm to start breathing because she made sure that Webb is not present. Everybody including best man Bud and Matron of Honor Harriett are smiling.
The rest of the ceremony is traditional (I won't delve into details because I've never attended traditional Christian ceremony).
Now to the honeymoon. Another National Geographic part and slightly unusual destination. Instead of traditional Bahamas, Hawaii or even yacht cruise, Harm and Mac again travelling to Russia (compliments of Mark Falcon and OMF). This time it's St.Petersburg, not some war zone, where it's a season of romantic white nights, draw bridges over river Neva, beautiful palaces (I can't help it but send CB to see Catherine the Great's palace).
In the next episode...

New episode gives us a little "break" from high adventures of Rabb family.
It has 2 plot lines - one in Mac's and another in Harm's command.
Harm is sending OMF and Vukovic to Northern California, specifically Benicia Marina, where a lot of mothballed ships are stored. Another relic of the Vietnam war is uncovered. This time it's a set of dogtags for a Navy Lt. The catch is that according to different records the person identified is either alive or dead, and what's more - the live person does not match the data uncovered from the dogtags.
To make lond story short - Vukovic finally uncovered that the person living under the name of the deceased Lt. has nothing to do with his disappearance and the whole mystery was due to the series of mistakes in VA hospital 30 years ago. In the meantime OMF had his hands full trying to put Vukovic within the rules of Navy investigations and at the same time protecting him from angry boyfriends of the couple of PO's they've met.
In the meantime in San Diego Mac is presiding over the case of another "conscientous objector". This time the defendant took Bible's quote "be fruitful and multiply" quite literally and was asking for the separation from the military so she can devote herself to giving birth instead of participating in taking lives. In order to achieve that goal she propositioned to practically every male within sight without regard to age, rank or marital status.
Of course, Mac is slightly upset (to put it mildly), although from some of her comments we may conclude that her issues with endometriosis are somewhat less and her chances now are at least at 10%.
At the end of the trial woman is sentemced to psychiatric evaluation and treatment and discharge from the Navy.
Rabb's presence in this episode is somewhat limited. Besides Mac in the courtroom we see Harm and Mattie in the Scripps Rehab Center during the PT, some conversations between Harm and Bud in DC regarding a research on a case with OMF and Vukovic. But the Hallmark moment comes at the very end.
Harm and Mac are spending afternoon in La Jolla just walking on Prospect Ave, Ocean Blvd, watching seals and beautiful sunset. Then the final dialogue:
H (grinning) - "Have I told you lately that I love you?"
M (also grinning) - "Not in the last 32 min. and 17 sec."
H (noticing an impish look Mac gave him) - "Do you keep score too?"
M (smiling) - "Of course. It's 1532"
H (with mock horror) - "Only?! It supposed to be more than 2000 by now. I "really" have to work on it".
M (with smile and loving look) - "And I love you too".
Fade to black.
In the next episode...
Fast forward to the future. 4% miracle is to become a 100% reality.

That's right, Mac will announce her pregnancy. But the actual birth will be a couple of episodes later. And I'm planning to introduce some of my R/L experiences into that scenario. Trust me they are dramatic enough.
As usual new episode will be posted on Friday around 10 pm Eastern (as if it were "real" episode).

This is a quite short review of tonight's episode - I was laughing my head off.
Can you imagine that this episode sent Harm and Mac undercover on a set of "JAG". Imagine CB playing Mac who's playing CB playing Mac. Imagine the whole lot of comic situations when Harm and Mac have to interact with the members of CB and DJE families (and they are STILL being played by CB and DJE).
Anyway, the reason why they had to be undercover is not real clear but that does not make the episode any less enjoyable. We can see some of the internal workings of the TV studio, location shots and special effects. It looks like that one of the reasons Harm and Mac were involved is the fact that the majority of the episode was shot at North Island NAS in San Diego and the case involved some alleged smuggling.
At the end of this assignment Harm and Mac sigh with relief and promise never to take part of any TV show again .
Besides Mac is feeling a little "out" but attributes it to the stress of the case and TV.
Now we see Mac's birthday party on August 14th ( I know that's CB's birthday but we were never told Mac's ) at Rabb's house. When presents were opened Mac made her announcement - they will have a Valentine's baby ( which, accidentally, is the day before my own ). Mattie, Trish and Frank, Jen and the others are exstatic, Harm is smiling all 32 teeth (but looks like it isn't a big surprise to him), and the festivities are renewed. After many congratulations, toasts, hugs and kisses the party is finally broken off and Harm and Mac are finally alone.
Wrapping his arms around Mac's waist Harm whispers in her ear:
'Miracles do happen'.
'It's been a miracle for 4 months non-stop', is Mac's reply.
In the next episode:
Miracles did happen but the road through pregnancy is not always paved with pose petals.
AN: Situations that will be discussed in a future episodes re. Mac's delivery and their child are taken from my R/L experiences.

Very nicely done, oldmanfan. I really loved the whole plot about Harm and Mac vs. Hollywoood! That got me laughing. Also, do you think that Mac's baby will be a boy or girl OR are you going to keep that a surprise???? I can't wait to read your next story!!! They are grrrrreat! (As Tony the Tiger would say).

Welcome back to another episode of VirtuJAG.
This episode is more or less a filler - we see a little bit of investigations, court case, and personal stuff.
Investigation centers around Gunny and Vukovic who are in Hawaii investigating a string of a strange food poisonings on board of a cruiser. To complicate matters more the ship received immediate orders to deploy in the Gulf, so Gunny had to literally drag Vukovic from the beach where he was "indulging" in his favorite pastime - chasing skirts (or in this case bikinis). Fortunately for him he didn't end up with a black eye or a broken nose.
During the sailing Gunny - posing as a mess cook - discovered a source of the poisoning which was some sort of exotic fish powder. But before the tainted food was destroyed Vukovic somehow managed to eat or inhale some and is feeling some ill effects. Gunny decided to play a little game with a Lt. and told him that this poison even in a small dose has "sexual side effects". Poor Vukovic was at his last wits during the whole cruise and even was afraid to go on liberty in Bahrain where they departed. Only on a plane back to States Gunny told Vukovic that it was only a joke but also a fair warning...
Meanwhile in San Diego Mac has her hands full with her staff - apparently her two senior attorneys are more like Tony and Kate (NCIS). On a simple case of DDO they couldn't keep their personal "issues" from the office even though they were on the same side. Mac was taking their antics in stride and we were in some funny comments to Harm at home.
Harm in this episode was more or less "domestic". We saw him with Mattie helping her with PT, on a phone with his parents and Roberts'. He was actually asking for an advice from Bud regarding Mac's pregnancy.
Speaking of the pregnancy, it looks like Mac's is pretty easy - she doesn't have much of a morning sickness, her cravings are "reasonable" - if you call pickles after cake "normal", and her mood is optimistic.
We saw Harm and Mac visiting the OB and their first ultrasound. Also because of Mac's contition she's required to see a doctor every other week. During one of these visits the unexpected problem arises - their child may develop a Rh-conflict (let's just assume that Mac is Rh- and Harm is Rh+), so an amnio is required and shall be performed monthly. Although doctor assured Harm and Mac that this will not harm baby's development.
With a support of family and friends Harm and Mac are getting ready...
In the next episode:
Baby's on the way, but it a typical Rabb's fashion - where's Harm?

To prevent possible questions - the medical stuff about the baby and the circumstances of the delivery are my real life experiences. I only combined my two daughters into one (oops! gave info away).

Welcome back to JAG.
Today's episode as well the next two is set in a future. Not so distant but the future nevertheless.
We begin with Mac in labor. She's not so much in pain but is extremely frustrated that Harm is not there.
After ythe opening credits we flash back to the doctor's visit, sonogram, amnio, etc. - typical pregnancy stuff (without crazy terrorists). Harm and Mac finally know that they're having a girl and a lot of time is devoted to picking names, making the nuesery, buying clothes. A lot of friends and family help and Mac is really doing very good. Mattie is a big help too, she's doing very good in her PT and can move around the house under her own power.
In the meantime we back to the present again and Harm and OMF are investigating a series of incidents on board USS Seahawk in the Sea of Japan. In one instance a missile didn't launch when F-18 encountered some North Korean MIGs and only superb piloting skills saved the pilot. In another accident a tire had blown on a landing almost destroying the F-14. ( Some technical background. Aircraft tires are filled with nitrogen, not air, to prevent diesel effect - a spontaneous combustion of air/rubber mixture at high pressures at the touchdown. Missiles cold start is uses nitrogen too - missile is jettisoned from the aircraft and then its motor is fired to protect the aircraft )
Another flashback. This time it's Christmas (apparently the episode is set somewhere in February - remember, Valentine's baby). The Rabbs are making the trip east to make up for the previous year and Mac's accident. We see them at JAG HQ visiting General, at Roberts' house with the whole family plus AJ Chegwidden in attendance, at the church. Finally the whole family is at the Wall and Harm apologizes to his father for missing the visit the other year "but for a very good reason". And he introduces Mac and Mattie and a baby-on-the-way.
Back to present.
Nothing is easy in Rabb's family. When Harm left for the investigation he thought he had almost two weeks before the baby is to be born and he could kill two birds with one stone and do his quals also. And he's doing just that - flying - after investigation found incorrect operation of on-board nitrrogen generator (OMF's expertise (real life, mind you) helped realize that the interference from the nearby high votage cable messed up a system controller and the planes were filled with a lot more oxygen than the dial indicated). Only his child decided to come to this world at her own schedule so after the successful trap Harm is greeted by OMF and Capt. Johnson with "Welcome aboard, DAD". Totally surprised Harm immediately asks permission to fly stateside. Permission is granted (by the time the investigation ended Seahawk was on her way home to San Diego - her new home port for a time being) and Harm and OMF fly back to NAS North Island breaking all speed limits.
Finally Harm is in the hospital but instead of a happy family he is greeted with somber looks of his mom, Frank and Coates. At Mac's bedside he is giving the news - the delivery was quick and easy, his daughter - Catherine Rose Rabb - had his looks (and her mother's brains), but almost immediately after birth the Rh-conflict started to develop. The symptoms are similar to the Hepatitis (yellowish skin and possible liver failure) and the only cure was to do a full blood transfusion. ( Again, this is from my R/L experiences - my first daughter was born two weeks premature when I was on a business trip, and my second one developed the Rh-conflict )
The episode ends with Harm and Mac in tight embrace with tears in their eyes in the ICU, watching tiny little baby with a tubes sticking out of her arms. "I love you"'s, "We'll get through this. Together"'s are to follow.
Do not worry. The baby will be just fine (mine is).
Next two episodes will be the last ones in VirtuJAG series and will be set in an even more distant future.

No, it's not a hiatus. I can't write 'till eternity.
Unfortunately, JAG is coming to the end. Look at the fanfiction - it's either don't exist, or stories left unfinished, or they are full of such unwarranted (IMHO) angst that wasn't seen since Webb or Brumby.

What do you mean by that? I mean, I understand that you probably don't want to keep writing forever (it's probably a lot of work) but I don't understand what you meant by "JAG is coming to an end." Do you think that the fans aren't as interested in it as they used to be? And what are you saying about fanfic? Do you think it's not as good as it maybe used to be when JAG was still on the air? I'm just curious as to what exactly you are trying to say.
OldManFan
Jul 31 2005, 04:57 PM
That's exactly what I'm trying to say.
1.
I have nothing against "new generation" of board members, but I miss the folks that were part of my life for the last couple of years.
2.
JAG is no longer on TV at the time that I can see it.
3.
New fanfiction stories (not all but a lot) are so angsty (CLK and Moonchild are notable exceptions) that it's hard to believe that it is the same Harm and Mac that we have known and loved for 9 years. And all of a sudden a lot of Mac/Brumby/Harm stories are taken out of mothballs and posted (especially on fanfiction.net). Thank God, there's no more Mac/Webb or Mac/AJ stories.
4.
Even Virtual Season is coming to an end.
5.
I don't write fanfiction . I only present a stoty arc. Everybody is welcome to write an actual story with a dialogue, thoughts, expressions, etc., etc.

I'm new, but I know some of the folks from the other USA JAG board had to take new names when the network switched. Have others deserted this board for another MB? (If any have but are still reading this, can you tell us why you no longer post on this MB??) Although I was a lurker only for the first three months or so after I discovered this MB, I, too, miss some of the other frequent posters, at least by their familiar usernames.
Re: popularity of Fanfic. To me, Fanfic now makes more sense than when the show was running, because it's filling the void. Do others of us feel the opposite? I'm not arguing with you wanting to retire, OMF, just wondering about these questions. I have appreciated your episodes, even without dialogue. So to you I say, "Thank you!"

I completly understand, OMF. I do not accept change easily as well. I can understand why you may not be used to the "new genteration" of board members and I get how you may miss your friends from the old board. But, I guess I've sort of figured out that change is inevitable. I guess our only options are to change with it. (Even if the change may not be what we hoped for). Not to sound like a great philosepher or something but I've experienced a lot of change in my life and I've realized that I just gotta go with the flow. Well, I wish you the best of luck after you finish your Virtu JAG stories. Thanks for everything including the stories. You are a great person from what I've seen.

Thanks.
You all sound like I'm going to move to Iceland, or die, or else.
Nothing so drastic
Yes, I'm going to finish the VirtuJAG series (I'm definitely running out of ideas and original plots), but I'm not going to leave the fandom. I'm still going to be here giving occasional comment if the question warrants my expertise.
Also, as soon as CB's new miniseries "The Triangle" will be on the air trust me to pop up here and there to comment on the show and CB's performance. Whatever she'll be doing next - I'll be there.
About the changes. I, probably, had enough changes in my life to fill a couple of lifetimes (changing countries, states, cities, jobs, losing friends, heart attacks, etc. - all in the last 15 years).
To my fellow "oldtimers" (Kat, judy, everybody else from LA/OC) - when are we having our next lunch?

Aug 5 2005, 09:41 PM
Yes, we are in a future...
We start with a ceremony. "I, Sarah MacKenzie, do solemnly swear to faithfully execute the duties of the Judge Advocate General of the US Navy..." And there she is - freshly promoted Major General of the Marine Corps sworn by the Secretary of Defence. Camera pans and we see Capt. Roberts (that's right, Captain), RAdm (Lower Half) Sturgis Turner, Major Galindez, Lt. Coates, Mattie, OMF and, finally, Rear Admiral (Upper Half) Harmon Rabb. And he also have line officer stars on his sleeves.
Flashback to present.
We see some short scenes about investigations, trials and also family life - little Catherine's first steps, first words, Mattie's very improving conditions.
Forward to a couple years later and we see Mac presiding over tribunals of Al Quaeda terrorists, Harm flying new F-22's and JTAF's, more investigations into terrorist activities. Along the way there's Mattie's high school graduation and her entering UCSD (unfortunately, her physical condition although OK for a normal life, prevented her from the military career). We also see Harm taking little Catherine on her first flight in Sarah to the total amusement of the whole family.
Another couple of years passed and there's another addition to the Rabbs - a little boy Matthew Harmon. Apparently Harm and Mac decided to throw away the caution and decided to take a risk of another Rx conflict - the gamble apparently paid off ( again, my RL situation - my older daughter did not have any problems at birth ).
Back to the year 2015.
A lot of chanhes are on a horizon. Looks like the war on terror is still going on although Mac successfully prosecuted Al Quaeda's #2 and Harm was instrumental in his capture. Sturgis was successful as Force Judge Advocate Europe and got his promotions to Captain and recently to first flag rank. Bud was very good as JAG Chief of Staff which earned him another two promotions. Coates and Gunny are officers now and about to get married. Mattie graduated from the UCSD and works for American Airlines - she just can't be too far from the planes. Sergey is also in the aviation business and he also made OMF and Mac relatives - he married OMF's older daughter.
But not everything is rosy. General Cresswell was a victim of a terrorist attack when in Europe. Secretary Sheffield (yes, there's still Republican Administration in DC - no Clintons in sight ) decided to offer his position to Mac based on her successes during tribunals. Not wanting to upset Harm (he didn't forget that these people can easily throw away their carreers for each other) he offered him a post of Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic (also a two-star billet). BTW, both Harm and Mac had their first stars after the tribunals.
So the Rabbs are heading back East. Again.
Next week.
In the final episode of the VirtuJAG - where in life are Harm and Mac at their 25th anniversary. Will we see the 50th?
Stay tuned...

OMF, I, too, have enjoyed your imaginative story arcs this summer. I somehow don't find the time to read fanfic, but your stories give just enough to daydream about. BTW, #13 is an interesting episode to stop with....
I know what you mean about JAG coming to an end. I hate to see it, but there's less and less to talk about. Some JAG sites have become mainly visiting sessions between members, with little or nothing to do with JAG. I'm happy for them, but that kind of conversations doesn't hold as much interest for me. I guess I don't feel I know on-line friends well enough.

Not that I am losing interest in JAG but I can see how other people might. The show is over and if your one of those people that has watched it since S1, then there are really no more new episodes to see and I suppose that it's really easy to lose interest in it. Especially is you have been obsessed w/ it for a long time. You just can't get excited about it anymore. I am definetly not losing interest in JAG (I post on this site everyday) and personally, I think it's kind of sad how quickly people's interests change. I also think it's sad that once they become obsessed with something else, they forget all about JAG and just move on. Well, I am never going to do that. I have been obsessed with JAG for 2 years now and I think that it would just be wrong to act like it was never in my life.

Yes, folks, this is the very last one.
Dedicated to Catherine Bell on her birthday - Happy Birthday and many more to come
Now to the show.
We're back in a future. Again.
This time it's another 15 years passed and we see Harm, Mac and the family at the Naval Academy graduation. Newly promoted Ensign Catherine Rose Rabb is hugged by her proud parents - Deputy CNO Adm. Harmon Rabb and Supreme Court Justice Sarah MacKenzie-Rabb.
Yes, the life made another turn for the Rabbs.
After successful tour of duty as CINCAIRLANT when he witnessed the successful transition from Tomcats to Super Hornets to JTAFs and Raptors to even more exotic aircraft, air battles in the Presian Gulf against Iran, rescue missions in India and South America Harmon Rabb had finally hung his wings and gotten a position of Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (the job AJ was once considered for).
And Mac's carreer couldn't be better. After being a judge in some very high profile cases involving foreign terrorists and their local supporters and writing about necessary changes in UCMJ and possibly a Constitution to better prepare the country against possible threats she was surprised when she was nominated to the highest Court and even more so that she passed congressional hearings with a lightning speed.
Back to the ceremony.
Also present are Judge Advocate General RAdm Roberts with his family - Lt. AJ Roberts, Jimmy Roberts and the twins - Nicole and Peter ( just my idea ). These kids, with the exception of AJ who is a Navy SEAL as his namesake, decided on a civilian life - Jimmy is an engineer and twins are in medical field. Also it's obvious that Jimmy and Catherine are more than friends - it seems that after Rabbs moved back east they developed very strong bond.
Matthew Rabb is in his last year of the Academy too.
Now to the last half of the episode.
Now retired Harmon Rabb (his last job was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs) and Sarah Rabb (retired as Supreme Court Judge) are celebrating their 50-th anniversary. Not many friends have left to celebrate with them but their children, grand- and great-grandchildren are more than making up the crowd.
And we have a retrospective of the milestones of this great love story with it's ups and downs - Rose Garden, "Permission to come aboard", Columbia, flight of Sarah, Russia and Chechnya, "Lifeline" kiss, Harm's flight to the wedding, JAG-a-Thon, Paraguay, Dine Out, Manderlee, Christmas at the hospital and, of course, McMurphy and the coin toss.
And at the end...black screen and the words
IN ALL ETERNITY...
And the Beatles' song (their shortest)
"And In The End
The Love You Take
Is Equal To The Love
You Make..."
Created by Don Bellisario, improved by fanfic writers and brought to life by Catherine "The Great" Bell and David James Elliott.
