Jerry Jarrett at WWE Headquarters
Oct. 28, 2005

Longtime wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett met with WWE officials this morning in Stamford, Conn., and he was not alone.

Check back here later today as more details on Jarrett-WWE meeting become available.

Well, this is certainly interesting. There's a picture on the front page of WWE.com with Jarrett standing beside of poster image of Booker T.

I wonder who he brought with him?

I wonder if it's a deal they're working on or if it's Jarrett heading into Vince's office to tell Vinnie to lay off trying to hire his wrestlers?

Apparently Jerry Jarrett doesn't have a lot of stroke in TNA anymore, it's probably more to do with old Memphis tape libraries....

I agree I'm saying it's nothing that will affect the fans!

Jarrett sold that to Lawler a while back.

It's all about Jerry seemingly jumping ship from TNA to WWE:

Jarrett brings mountain of a man to WWE
Oct. 28, 2005

Longtime wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett met with WWE officials this morning in Stamford, Conn., and he was not alone.

By Jarrett's side throughout his meetings with Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis (Vice President of Talent Relations for WWE) was a 6-foot-6, 310 pound monster of a man called Oleg Prudius.

"I know they were both impressed with Oleg, as is anyone that meets him," said Jarrett as he left WWE Headquarters Friday afternoon. "He's an exceptional person and a special athlete."

So with Jarrett's backing, is Prudius on his way to WWE Superstardom?

"He's a future prospect who is very interested in WWE," said Laurinaitis after meeting with Jarrett and Prudius. "He comes from a very highly-regarded amateur background. And hopefully, if things work out on both sides, we can maybe do business together."

If things do work out and Prudius does find his way into a WWE ring, he will be bringing an extensive resume with him. In addition to being a world champion sambo wrestler, Prudius has played professional football in Germany and is skilled in Judo. He has also made several movies in both Russia and the United States.

This was a brilliant upstaging of TNA by WWE and Vince. It will be interesting to see where the leads.

It's a humiliating slap in the face to TNA/Jeff Jarrett when your own dad goes to the competition to offer them a new piece of talent instead of getting him into the very company that he and his son started.

Just shows you what the elder Jarrett thinks of the TNA product and its future prognosis.

Or Jerry feels slighted because he's been forced out of power and that's all.
