Full Version: When will the WWE Title Change Hands?
John Cena has held the WWE Title since April 3 when he won it at WM21. How much longer can his reign as champ continue and who will he lose it too? I say he hold's it until WM21 and will probably lose it to Edge or HHH.

Angle could very-well take it, or this could be a long lasting rivarly. Edge is could be facing a Lita turn sooner than later. The girl for goodness sakes probably wants no part of this angle anymore. So I would expect something soon or Lita simply walking away from the sport.
I don't see Trips in the hunt anytime soon. He has a great program with Flair developing which should be great. Really you guys are right Cena could hold the title until Wrestlemania. --Heres a longshot-- Eugene turns heel and captures the title at Wrestlemania. You all owe me a dollar if it comes true.

There's plenty of guys on the roster that should be champ, other than John Cena.
Edge is WAY overdue for a heavyweight title. And I think he and Cena would have a good fued. Obviously, Angle and The Game are WAY better choices as champ than Cena.
IMO, Cena was put in the heavyweight title spot too soon. As far as I can see it, he should still be at the IC/US title level. Benoit, HHH, HBK, Rock, etc wrestled how many years before they ever got a title? (Foley too)
But here's Cena, some 3 or 4? years into it, and already had the belt this long? I just don't buy it.

Perhaps the reason the WWE is taking it's time with opponents with Cena is so they don't run out of opponents as quickly as Benoit did. Perhaps they are keeping him in longer feuds is because they know they want to keep him with the belt on for longer than Benoit. JBL held it for 10 months. I would think one of the reasons they keep the belt on JBL for so long was so that someone might be able to break that record.
Now, it's conceivable that Cena does lose the belt in the near future. If it's the case it's only so he can pursue it again. I don't see angle being the one that takes it off him. Giving him a short run with the belt only to have Cena take it away again does him no good. It's not going to be a face that takes the belt off Cena -- the WWE doesn't work that way. So you've got Edge, HHH, Masters and Carlito. And even though Kane is coming back on Monday, it's not going to be for a title shot. Edge won't get his real Title chance until WM22. HHH is tied up with a feud with Flair. Carlito and Masters are no where near ready. So, Cena retains until at least Survivor Series. After that -- we'll see.

I hadn't thought of it like that.
First of all, let me just make a small little correction. Benoit did not hold the title for 8 months, he only held it for 5 months (WM 20 was in March and Benoit lost it to Orton at Summerslam which is in August).
Now I think that Cena is going to lose the title before WM 22. I don't see him holding the title that long nor do I see him losing it at WM 22. I could see him winning the belt back at WM 22, but not losing it. See, it's really hard to tell at this point what is going to happen with the title. You have to narrow things down to WM 22. This tends to make things a be a bit easier on figuring out how the title is going to change hands ahead of time. You knew back at WM 21 JBL was going to fight Cena because that was the only guy left for JBL to face, plus they kept Cena and JBL apart the whole time JBL had his title reign. You knew Batista was going to fight Triple H at WM 21 because Triple H had already fought Orton enough times, and the way they were buildig up Batista, it was pretty apparent he was going to fight Triple H.
So, we need to think in terms of the main event for WM 22. I don't know. It's too hard to tell right now. If Angle beats Cena eventually, maybe Survivor Series, then Angle may very well hold it till WM 22 and face Edge (by now and then Edge could turn face). Or Cena could beat someone back for the belt. I think Cena will me holding on to the title for a while. No one can take it from him. The only person who could probably beat him is Kurt Angle. But anyone who thinks Edge deserves the title is crazy just like him.

I have heard The Rock cut promos, but only from watching tapes and DVD's. When talking about my years on the planet, I'm totally honest. I didn't watch Wrestling in the 90's and early 2000 because of my occupation, Theatre. I spent my nights rehearsing and not watching Wrestling or any Television for that matter. I watched Wrestling in the 70's as a child and early 80's as a young adult. I was busy making a living. My evening schedules are not as packed now that I have a family, although I'm currently back in rehearsal. But my children began watching WWE Wrestling about two years and I'm now back watching.
To the point, however, you still didn't bother to define, Jaboroni. Knowing now that it is one of the thousands of The Rock's catchphrases, I've got a better idea. Still, would you care to define it?

Now, I believe that Cena can hold the title until WM22, but never lose it -- That doesn't happen -- EVEN in Wrestling.
This is to Who said batista should come back to raw.First of all why would Batista come back to raw that dosen't make since second of all just like the old days wwe wants to keep the titles on guys for to long so cena and batista won't lose the titles until after WM 22! Guarenteed.
^ The WWE certainly wants to have the belts on Batista and Cena for a substantial period of time. And even though I like both as Champions, I have problems with them holding the belt until after WM22, particularly both. Hogan has the longest Heavy Weight run in the WWE/F of 364 days. If both Batista and Cena hold the titles past WM22 -- both break that record. I can only see one of them breaking the record and then once it's broken there's no real reason to extend the length of time of the New Record.

I don't think we'll ever see HHH dominate the World title scene like he has in the past -- but having Triple H as the WWE champ and having Cena chasing after the title again for his second run would rejuvinate Cena as the standard bearer of the WWE.
I dont think the title will change hands but if it does Cena will be Champ again

I don't see Cena losing at Taboo Tuesday at all. I don't know about Survivor Series yet. I don't see both Batista or Cena carrying the title beyond WM22. One of them is going to have to lose soon.

I have to disagree with Hunter holding the WWE Title "sucking". Triple H is one of the best there is currently and he has a tremendous ability to build up heat around a World Title Match.
The fact that he is a ten time champion ALREADY after he only won his first title six years ago shows you that HHH has had too many title reigns.
I'd like to see him kept away from the title for another year if at all possible. By then, HHH with the title will be somewhat fresh again...

im going to have to agree with you on that. Angle should get Cenas title. Its been to long since Angle had some gold. And about HHH Im going to have agree with that to. He needs some time without a title for a wile.
Let's face it folks, the bottom line is that on any given day, at any WWE event John Cena could loose his belt. The question is who will he be facing? Angle? If Angle gets a title match he could walk away champion, and it has been a while since Angle was champion.
