I'm starting my Jetz in agility - he's really quick and after watching the trials on TV thought it would be fun.

I believe Poms are supposed to be good at agility - Sadie does like to jump from the arm of the couch. I worry that she's going to hurt herself because they have weak little pencil legs but she seems to like it.

I don't think Sadie would jump if she felt any pain associated with it. Jetz has pencil-thin legs and he jumps everything...including the 3 feet straight up to nip my butt while we're climbing the stairs. Quick as lightning that little pest.
Farsix
Good to know because she seems to rejoice in it - much like Jetz biting your tush.

Jetz got his rightful deserts for all the tush nipping - he was neutered today!

Guess that took some of the fire out of his engine (as the vet would say) - or the fuel out of Jetz.

Give him my male cat's sympathy.

Unfortunately for Jetz, he had double surgery, one teste was still lost in his abdomen and they had to go on a search and rescue mission. Finally he's stopped humping the dog pillows, next week obedience training.

Hi Bubba here,

Our dog does this too much.

Bubba there, is your dog 'fixed'? If not, get it done - if it is fixed then it's a playful thing it's doing, something dogs often do when playing with each other. It can also be a dominant trait too.

Jetz has quit since he was neutered, thankfully, it was driving me nuts.

Hi Bubba here, as always Kees_lady, thanks for the infomation.

The National Agility Trials will be on Animal Planet this week end - watch how those guys climb, weave, teeter-totter, and make the jumps. Most of their guidance is done with the handlers body movements and a few words.
