No seriously, while we don't have any confirmation on this date, this is more than likely the soonest we'll be seeing any 3rd season 4400.

Well, it's an educated guess to say the least, but also pretty realistic. We know that both season 1 and 2 started in June, so season 3 could easily follow that pattern. But even more than that, USA hasn't officially bought into the 3rd season. It's assumed they will (they'd be stupid not to), but we're just waiting for official word. Some people have been hoping for maybe a January season, however if that were to happen, they'd basically need to start filming, well...*now*. But to our knowledge, they don't even have the scripts written. And again, the creators are probably waiting on the green light from USA. So it looks like June is the most likely time. Maybe a month or two earlier if we luck out, but I think there are unwritten rules about what months a new season is "allowed" to start in.

I started late, (of course from S1E1) so I didn't know it was a June date.

I agree havenli22. The show will probably start sometime during June 06. If they are having a full season of 13 episodes, they need some time to put the script together, resign cast members, find other cast members, etc ... The only way a winter season is possible is that they order a short season of 5-6 episodes.
Don't be suprised if they decide to renew next season with 22 episodes and split them in half seasons like Monk. I know they did that with current The Dead Zone season. Now USA has 11 episodes already filmed and will make it easier to decide on when to air, in the winter or summer. Then I would think they would seriously consider a Summer 06 and Winter 07 airings.
