Thanks, Bratty, for pointing out this new episode in another thread. I googled on the guest star, found an email address, and begged for information. He says:
"I'll tell you this much ... we go back and visit gramps this episode. Anything else and the network would put a contract out on me."
So....Gramps. JJ's gramps? As in Marty or as in.....Herb?

Oh wow! Thanks DenverDZ! You always have the courage to ask the right people for info!
I wonder if Grandpa Smith (mentioned in Descent, so it would be JJ's great grandpa) is still alive? It's not unheard of for people to live to 100 these days! AND most people in the early part of the 20th century married quite young, with each generation averaging maybe around 20-25 years apart.
If John is 37 and his grandfather was say 55 years older than him, he'd only be in his early 90's. There is about that much between me and my still living grandmother.

They just added a second character to "Panic":
Dustin Milligan .... Randy Johnson
He's about 19-20 years old. He did "Final Destination 3"? I can't believe that they even made another sequel!

I thought he died..wasn't it in the mine thing? Or was it that he survived and that's why the county turned on him?

Very cool, so it is John's granddad. I wonder if AMH will play him again. I thought he made a really really cute Mr John Smith the First.
