Sorry if this has been posted already, but on Friday, December 4th there will be a marathon of Monk episodes dubbed the "Trudy Mythology" marathon, obviously with all episodes involving the Trudy mystery, leading up to part II of the series finale that night! The episodes and times are:

DEC 04 06:00 AM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK MEETS DALE THE WHALE
DEC 04 07:00 AM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK AND THE BILLIONAIRE MUGGER
DEC 04 08:00 AM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK AND THE THREE PIES
DEC 04 09:00 AM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK GOES TO JAIL
DEC 04 10:00 AM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK TAKES MANHATTAN
DEC 04 11:00 AM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK VS. THE COBRA

DEC 04 01:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK AND THE SECRET SANTA
DEC 04 02:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK BUMPS HIS HEAD
DEC 04 03:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK AND THE ACTOR
DEC 04 04:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK AND THE CLASS REUNION
DEC 04 05:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK FIGHTS CITY HALL
DEC 04 06:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK IS ON THE RUN, PT. I
DEC 04 07:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR. MONK IS ON THE RUN, PT. II
DEC 04 08:00 PM MONK (TRUDY MYTHOLOGY) MR MONK AND THE END, PART I
DEC 04 09:00 PM MONK (SERIES FINALE) MR MONK AND THE END, PART II

What a great send-off for Monk!!! An all-day marathon leading up the big finale! The only one they're really missing is "Mr. Monk Takes His Medicine," because that has some big Trudy moments in it, with his special pillow and her coming to him to tell him she wants him to be happy. Then, later that night at 11 P.M. and 12 A.M., the two-part series finale will re-air. smile.gif

I also would have liked to see Mr. monk and the Game Show on here... that one had her parents and quite a few flashbacks.

Mr. Monk Bumps His Head? Really? "Game Show" would have been a much better substitution there, imho. And "Takes His Medicine" would have been a million times more appropriate than "Actor" too because that's more about Stanley Tucci's character being delusional, not Monk. There's nothing there that really adds to the Trudy Mythology that is vital.

Unless there's stuff we don't know yet....

I mentioned this a few days ago in the "I know who killed Trudy" thread. As I said there, I have a feeling these paticular episodes all contain clues to the murder mystery and that's why they were selected. I am doing a marathon tomorrow on DVD with those episodes to see if I catch anything.

What a great idea!

So let me get this straight...on DEC 4th you're going to watch 14 hours of Monk episodes to find clues to who killed Trudy. The identity of the killer will be revealed in the 15th hour on the last episode at which time EVERYONE will know who did it..... unsure.gif Good luck with that. biggrin.gif

Um no, I said I would watch them on dvd. Have not had a chance yet though. Definately by Wednesday night. Not doing it on the day of the last episode though.

That's the plan.

I'm incredibly excited for this marathon! Many of these are some of my favorites and I haven't had the chance to have my own Monk marathon in a while. I'm sad to see Monk go, but I'm so ready for a 15 hour marathon =D I hope everyone has a fabulous Dec. 4th (Other than losing Monk sad.gif ).

I didn't get as much as I hoped and I didn't figure out who did it. I watched every episode in the order they had it listed and when I was up to "on the run" I noticed that the dvd was not in it's case. The last person who borrowed it from me gave it back with Season 6, Disc 4 missing. So I watched all the others. I was taking notes as I was watching. These may or may not be significant:

1. Mr. Monk meets Dale the Whale: There is a judge, didn't catch his name, who says "Mr. Monk is an old friend". Hmm.
2. Mr. Monk goes to jail: Dale says to Leland "Leland Stottlemeyer is lecturing me on style, the world has gone mad". This would only be significant if it turns out to be Leland who is the killer, and Dale knew the whole time. That comment could be taken to mean the murder was sloppy (at least by Dale's standards).
3. Mr. Monk takes Manhattan: Leland is very passionate about getting the NY cops to let Monk see Tennison. He even goes so far as to steal keys and do some digging in the NY police station. This could negate note number 2. Or not, if he is confident enough that this lead is a dead end.
4. Mr. and Mrs. Monk: Natalie asked Leland if he was there when Trudy died and he said "Trudy Monk?" which is kinda wierd because what other Trudy could she be talking about. He acted a little weird during this exchange, but could (hopefully) mean nothing.
5. Mr. Monk bumps his head: Monk is about to meet someone who allegedly has information on the six fingered man. Natalie seems to be working a little too hard to stop him from meeting the guy. Maybe it's just that she is worried something is going to happen to him (which she would be right about, cause something did) or maybe she had other reasons for him not wanting to find out more.
5a. Mr. Monk bumps his head: At the end of the episode when the perp has been apprehended, the sherif says he is going to go wake the judge. Probably a coincidence that "the judge" is mentioned here, but you never know.
6. Mr. Monk and the class reunion: When they are trying to figure out suspects for the nurse's murder, they suggest a member of the swim team who tested positive for steroids 25 years earlier due to a drug test the nurse gave him. Natalie says "who could hold a grudge that long?" and Leland says "I could. And have". Interesting comment.
6a. Mr. Monk and the class reunion: First mention of how Monk met Trudy. He waited three weeks to call her, and she was already dating Drew, who later became a famous heart sergeon. Famous usually means wealthy, maybe Drew is the guy. He could have afforded to pay for all the help.

Interesting note on a possible mistake: In Mr. Monk and the actor they reference the garage Trudy died in as the garage on Giraldi street, and in Mr. Monk fights city hall they reference it as the garage on Summerset Ave. Although it could be on the corner of Giraldi and Summerset. Still weird that it was mentioned both ways. If someone has mentioned this in the past sorry for bringing it up again.

Anyways, those were the most significant things I could find that weren't already discussed on the message board. Not sure how much help, if any, these will be. I know some of them point to Leland, but I still don't think it will be him. I will be just slightly less surprised if it turns out that way now. Equally pissed though.

Here's is what I believe will factor in as important clues... at least those that I can remember...
The Christmas Gift From Trudy
The Key on the desk top in the evidence given to us on the USA website
Dale the Whale
Albright
Wendy
The note about Kelly Street and Mr. Simon
The story Trudy was working on that most likely involved information given to her by Wendy...
Mitch
Someone from original season or first episode

Everything you listed was mentioned in those episodes at one point or another, except Wendy. I didn't list those because they have been discussed already, I was listing possible new things. They could end up being meaningless though. I spent all that time watching the dvds, I had to post something. smile.gif
