Hey

This is just a theory, mainly stemming from my thoughts that It couldve been a JOINT venture, I do think that Sharona Might have been playing a part.....Mostly, To keep an eye on him and to keep him from getting the clues to go the direction that he needed to go. It very well could have been trevor, and there whole Split could have been an act, It would also be a good justification of Why they brought Sharona back this season.

She played such a large part in Adrian's Life that she wouldnt be considered a MINOR character, and she Suddenly bowed out...maybe when it was decided that Adrian wasnt really close to figuring out who it was. Granted this is all a conspiracy Theory, but In the clips, it's not left open to rule anything out.

I do not feel it is Stottlemeyer...He spends way too much time Catering to monk, and HE was all for Monk getting back on the force...something that would endanger any involvement that Monk would have with the case...as he would have access to areas and documents that would Otherwise be unaccessible, also Bear in mind that of everyone on the whole series he is the one who knows Monk Best, He would know better then Hang around him often, as that would allow monk to pick up on some little nuance that gives him away...On the other hand, I have to get the Stottlemeyer Nay-Sayers there due here, and Say that Could be how he figures it out.

Lastly, These are just thoughts, though, I strongly feel that Sharona was playing watchdog during his initial investigations. Whether She Killed her or Not, IDK, but I definately think She knows who did it.

I think at this stage we can safely rule out Sharona as The Ultimate Bad Guy; if they weren't going to address it earlier this season when the possibility would have presented itself, they likely aren't going to make it her, and as I could see, she simply cared too much for Monk even through her outbursts to have been guilty of it without breaking down and admitting it at some point. Now it could still be Trevor, who could have at least been a peripheral part of the plot if it seemed a quick payday to him or if The Ultimate Bad Guy had him in his debt and threatened to kill him if he didn't particpate; however, one must consider at the same time that his revelation likely wouldn't have as much emotional impact if Sharona wasn't there to personally witness it, and thus since it's likely we won't see her in person on screen again, that does admittedly lessen the chance it's him a bit.

All we know is that "The Judge" is the next link in the chain leading to whoever ordered Trudy's murder; we do not know if there are further characters up the chain.

But an ending involving any of the main characters (including Sharona) as being either the murderer or a co-conspirator is extremely unlikely. Andy Breckman did not supervise his creation for eight years to create such an unsatisfying and dark ending.

Absolutely. Where people get this idea of characters like Stottlemeyer or Sharona being involved in Trudy's murder is beyond me. The tone of the show was never to turn sympathetic characters into killers. They wouldn't end it that way.

can always go to the extreme. monk suspected trudy and ambrose were having an affair. she was never never home, always "working" at the "paper." monk started becoming delusional and talking to himself in the third person. ambrose was the only one to notice the behaviour modification. dale the whale took advantage of this and started spreading rumours, that lovely trudy was sleeping around. dale just wanted trudy off his fat arse so the wheels were in motion. he needed a patsy and wanted to set up monk. but things in the plans went horribly wrong...
