Looks like "Library" to me.
KNOMYDURT
What is the scratched out word or words....all I can make out is what looks to be a y at the end...
Did Trudy get Adrian's present on Kelly Street (both in red)
Was this all over chemicals being dumped in the bay?
Why did Trudy keep two separate planners....was one meant to be more secretive than the other...
so many questions...

Yep! You know it wasn't that clear when I first looked at it and the other burnt piece of paper wasn't in the picture at all. They must have updated it again right after I last looked at it.

LIBRARY
KNOMYDURT
OKAY...It changed again...WHen this planner first went up there it had the words Kelly Street written in red on the Dec 13th page....now those words are gone....
icdogg
Well, if it says "LIBRARY" that can't actually mean that she went to the library. By previous logic used with the Kelly Street entry, she must have visited someone named "Lib Rary" laugh.gif (Monk has, of course, already figured out and forgotten about this several times)

lol ...Lib rary...

By the way there is a street in SF named ...Colin P. Kelly Street
Several people have mentioned that the lady name Kelly Street...may have just been Red Herring to throw Monk off ...

I can see why people think that way, because it is very silly that what appears to be an address is really a time and a name; and what appears to be a name is a stuffed dead dog. And the bit about Monk blanking this out and re-figuring it out annually is also a little much.

Still, I don't think it's a red herring. I think it's just an example of over-the-top writing, and while Kelly Street, the person, may indeed hold a clue that we don't yet fathom, she is that person.

I'm thinking that the scrap isn't from Trudy's appointment book at all because it has nothing on it that is 'Trudy specific' as in names of people we know Trudy knew, and because the other book does have quite a bit of Trudy specific information in it, and it doesn't make sense for a person to have two appointment books. But at the same time, it is odd that apparently, Trudy's appointment book wasn't with her the day she died, and this other one was. That doesn't make much sense either.

There is something in common with these two books. If you look at the Evidence Table...the part where you can put in bits and pieces and come up with your own theory....the newer address book has the words Kelley Street written in red on the day before Trudy's death. When they first put this book up as new evidence under the exclsuive evidence part that KELLY STREET (in red) was on that book too but then later it wasn't. Has anyone else noticed this difference between the theory board and the exclusive evidence information?

I just think the guy who originally posted it (Bob) hadn't had his morning coffee yet and was on the phone with his wife about their kid. Then another guy (Joe) came over and pointed out Bob's mistake so he put up the correct version instead but as he was about to remove it from the Windex Theory Board another guy (Steve) came over to talk about the football game and ol' Bob got distracted again. LOL my theory on the theory board mystery laugh.gif

I didn't go to the theory board so I hadn't seen this before. It's strange, that they have her name in the appointment book on the theory board but not on the Case File.

If that is anything to go by, then it might explain why Trudy has this second address book; she may have accidentally picked it up with her own book while she was at Mrs. Street's and was planning to take it back the day she was killed.

I wonder what Mrs. Street does. The red ink that her name was written in and the check next to Adrian's name makes me wonder if Trudy might have gone there to pick up Adrian's Christmas gift. Or it might have been a mistake that was easier to fix on the Case File page, but not as easy on the theory board.

My theory is that Ms. Street is decoy...someone that was paid by the killer or killer's people to concoct the Mr. Simon dog story...and therefore throw off Monk...just a coincidence that her name was Kelly Street...the dog part I believe was made up in an attempt to explain "Mr Simon" I think Kelly Street is a place rather than a person...and something was going down at 5:30...just like Monk originally thought. As posted in some other threads ...there is a street in SF called Colin P. Kelly Street...sometimes referred to as just Kelly St. ...just my thoughts...

She could be a decoy. The scrap of paper could have been planted with the other evidence to throw Monk off the trail. Kelly Street told Monk he's been there every year and it doesn't seem as if she has much information for him. Here is a transcript of the episode, If she'd had a conversation with Trudy about an interview, Kelly Street should have been able to offer more info i think.

And very possibly, she did offer more to Monk, but we the viewers do not know those potential details.

Yes, this. We never hear what she might have told him in previous visits, or even during that visit in Billionaire Mugger after she suggested that he write it down, and he apparently forgets it every year.
