Then Lassiter is like "I'm gonna ask you again, how did your dad know where to find you?" Shawn says something about how he can psychically communicate with his dad, (and Val Kilmer is another person he can communicate with).
Anyways, my question is that didn't Shawn explain how Henry found them? They called him on Gus's cellphone and told him. So I am just confused why Lassie asked him again.

No, Shawn didn't explain about the phone. The producer showed us what really happened for our benefit and so we could appreciate the humor when Shawn said otherwise.
