11/18/2009 (09:00PM - 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : A MEMBER OF A DANGEROUS BIKER GANG IS KILLED, AND BENSON IS THE PRIME SUSPECT

While in the park, a family stumbles upon the sexually mutilated body of Clyde Vandyne, a member of a biker gang known for prostitution and contract killing. To everyone's surprise, incriminating DNA evidence points to Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) as the prime suspect. Munch (Richard Belzer) and Fin (Ice-T) investigate the murder, while Stabler (Christopher Meloni) fights to prove his partner's innocence. The detectives must find the missing link to both Vandyne's murder and Benson's involvement. Also starring: Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), and Tamara Tunie (Dr. Melinda Warner).


Trevor Langan is defending Liv in this episode.

Olivia benson as a suspect??? really??? we already know she didnt do it. i mean c'mon its Liv & for other several reasons. ANYWHO sounds interesting. Cant wait to see how shes in this mess.

This sounds like a great episode! I've read that she's defended by Trevor L. (her real life husband). Someone must be trying to frame her. I hope she doesn't actually get arrested......that would probably bring her PTSD back

God, I hope she is arrested. Handcuffed in the presence of the entire squad would be gravy!

I heard about this eppy and I cannot wait to see it ! I'm really interested in this "dna evidence" that incriminates her...

This episode sounds really good! Can't wait to find out how Liv gets in this situation!

I don't thin so. Nancy did say it was someone from Olivia's past, but she said it was someone we haven't seen on the show before.

Awe, I hope shes okay. The writers have been coming up with some good episodes these days...well at least to me they have been coming up with some good ones.

Yeah someone from Livvy's past he almost raped her and sealveiw comes up in her IAB investigation so I just put 2 and 2 together. IDK what is gonna happen but i think this is gonna be good!

i think it's gonna be really hard to try and guess who it is since they have never been on the show. but can't wait for this one. it sounds really good!

I am really looking forward to seeing Trevor/Peter defending Olivia/Mariska. Husband and wife side by side. I am guessing that the link between Olivia and this biker dude is because she either tried to get him locked up for past crimes and they had some sort of altercation or she was the last to be seen with him somewhere or someone planted evidence on the dead guy and Olivia is being set up.

So am I !

i'm super excited about this eppy. maybe even a little more than i was for undercover and fault. i really want to see how this one all plays out and everything. i've been watching vidoes and trying to find pictures of it. but i can never find mariska in any of them i wonder why? and i'm really excited to see that benson/stabler dynamic again. ( :

Me too. This season seems to have more of that than last season! I'm loving it so far! It's hard to believe that the ratings are down, this seems like one of the best seasons to me!

I think the ratings are down because of the new day and time slot not to mention the World Series was on the last 2 weeks ... I usually TiVo SVU & Criminal Minds and watch Modern Family... There is really stiff competition on Wednesday nights especially at 9pm... I think if they had picked any other day they may have had higher ratings...

That being said I really am enjoying this season... just hectic TV schedule lol

Oh IK!!! That's cool how they just totally gave us the fact that someone definitely fabricated the evidence. That means that the eppy won't be all 'Who done it?' and more 'Lets get Liv out of trouble' and We know that John and Fin have the case so that will totally be a conflict of interest, but look at tonight's eppy, Liv pulled Elliot back when she saw that he was going to act more like a dad than a cop when they found Dickie.

Kind of a random question, but where is Liv at when she's getting up from the couch? She moves a blanket almost like she's been asleep, but it can't be her apartment, otherwise Tucker wouldn't just pop up as she moving the blanket and getting up. I guess it has to be the station... anyway, can't wait for next week! I wish they hadn't told about the faking the DNA bit, I knew they'd clear her, but I wanted it to be harder, lol. Plus if you can fake DNA, this is going to make solving cases a lot less clear cut.

Looks like she is in the lounge upstairs, she probably just pulled a late night and went up there to grab a nap

While faking DNA can be done, it isn't that hard to figure out that it has been done. Kind of like checking to see if a picture has been Photoshoped.

I've watched the preview and the bubbletweet over and over again.....where is Olivia w/ Langan? Is she already in a cell? And where is she w/ Tucker? Does anyone know?

Also, I can't tell, is Mariska's hair pulled up in these clips or has she cut it again?

Her hair got cut again. You can see it in places in Turmoil.

She did get it cut but not that much. in the scenes i think her hair is pulled back. when she is w/ Tucker she is in the lounge area upstairs in the squadroom, and with Langan i think she is in s cell.

Just saw it, great episode. I'll write more tomorrow.

I'm going to have to avoid message boards till Friday! I work 12 hr shifts tonight and tommorrow night, so I won't be able to watch it until then I'm not strong enough not to read the spoilers.

I won't give any spoilers but I will just say I loved Elliot in this episode. Totally. loved. him.

Stay strong. No spoilers can compare to seeing it for yourself. Spoilers are like seeing your baby on the ultrasound. You're trying to imagine how it will really look when what is in front of you is sort of fuzzy. But actually seeing the baby live and in person makes everything come into focus and you can fall in love with it.

Here's one more thing for you to look forward to when you do watch it---there were some hot men (and not so hot, but I concentrated on the pretty) in this ep. Yeah, maybe I'll go watch it again and remind myself. *le sigh*

I wish NBC would put full episodes of SVU on its website. The website I currently watch it on has a flaw. You can not pause the show if you need to step out of the room.

Thanks you guys for not spoiling us. I so want to read what Sviewer wrote in her tag in the EO thread, but I am being strong. I won't do it. I have an idea of what El might have sacrificed, but I will wait and see.

That. Episode. Was. AMAZING! That is all.

Good ep! My only problem? Liv. Owns. A. Snuggie.

I'm not sure I would say amazing because there were a few things that were for the sole purpose of expediencey. Liv and that vintage car? WTF! Who here believes that Liv would own such a thing? That was a JTS if I have ever seen one. And it would have been nice if El had come in and kick the perv's ass in the bedroom. I mean, we get it...Liv is strong, smart, quick on her feet and can take care of herself. But it would be nice to see her rescued for once. It would have been more dramatic to have El come in and take the guy out.

Otherwise, I really enjoyed the eppy, and I must be careful of what I wish for. I was not pleased to see Tucker arresting Liv. However, Liv's men were standing strong! Cragen cracked me up. Did he really think Tucker cared about professional courtesy? Uh, no!

2 things:

Are Munch's ears getting bigger? They make it to a crime scene before he does.

And more importantly, there seems to be a consensus that El is the screw up... LOL... We heard twice in the same eppy where somene expected El to be in Liv's shoes. LMAO! They certainly drove the nail home in this eppy... ROTF

Now that the episode has aired I can give a full review

Like I said before, I thought this was a really good episode. We got to have the entire cast minus Huang and Cabot.
I enjoyed seeing Tom Pelphery (who played Jonathan on Guiding Light) and Peter Hermann, both actors provided nice eye candy.

The episode did bring up a lot of important things:

1) Olivia has not told Elliot about Sealview.

2) Being locked up again is the one thing that will bring Olivia to her breaking point. When she heard she was going to be held in prison until bail was set, a look of terror fell upon her.

Hopefully there will soon be an episode where Olivia tells Elliot the truth about Sealview.

The ending was very good. A man was dead, another one had been raped in prison, Olivia almost got sent to prison; and the scientist guy could care less about what he did.


I hope we see more episodes of this caliber in the future.

Didn't those things just come out? Good to see NBC up to speed...lol!

El does not have a clue about Sealview, and yes Trevor is nice eye candy, but Tom Pelphrey looks like he does not bathe. I don't find him sexy at all. Enjoyed him in the beginning on GL, but then the show forgot how to write for the other characters, so I lost interest.

The ending was good, but it could have been great if El had gotten there sooner.

Elliot has known about what happened to Olivia from the time she got back to the station. It's just that Olivia hasn't told him about it.

OMG me too, I really really love El in this episode. He's so sweet and caring. I love the part where he's boiling tea for Liv. Oh and when he opened the ref. and there's no food? , that reminded me of a story in fan fiction.

Just as sweet as Fin bringing Munch a fig milkshake when he was in the hospital in Raw.
Elliot didn't go to see Olivia because she was sick. He went to talk about the case. He needed to know why the dead man had her card on him. The father in him had to check to see how sick Olivia was. He was just taking care of his partner like any good partner would. The only thing missing was him asking if she needed more medicine from the drug store.

If Elliot only wanted to talk about the case, he would have done just that instead of trying to take care of her. It's obvious he cared about her well being, because he stayed, tucked her in and tried to make her some tea. All the while Olivia was the one discussing the case. He stayed on his own accord. And 9 times out of 10 Olivia asked Elliot to bring the case file to her. Whether it was his fatherly instincts or not he was concerned with her getting better. That's not in the partners contract. When John hurt his leg we didn't see Fin over at his house feeding him chicken noodle soup while he rested on the couch. And Fin picking up a shake doesn't' even compare to that and was it in now way taking care of John like Elliot was temperature checking and attempted tea making for Olivia That scene is a shippers dream.
Also did the "good partner" in him make him put a property bond on his house without telling Kathy also?
