Full Version: Who should be named the Monk Fan of All-Time?

It's all been leading up to this... the selection of the Monk Fan of All-Time! We've selected 16 former Fans of the Week placed them into groups of four. Each week you'll vote for your favorite from each group, and then the four winners will face each other for the right to be Monk's #1 fan!

All devoted fans win in my book, how can I choose? It's like asking Monk to choose between Natalie and Sharona. Or the end seat and the aisle seat. It can't be done.

Wow! Thanks Tonyfan and anyone else who's voted for me. It's really very thrilling and flattering. Except that I currently have fewer votes than the dead guy. It's like a Missouri election. At least I'm ahead of the very cute baby. To be fair Don, the Monk fan who has passed on, has a very touching story. What a great guy.

Aw, that's sweet tweedlebug. Let's face it, a singular fan is just a crazy person; fans, plural, are what kept this fantastic show on the air for eight years.

Despite my asking you to stop emailing me, you've emailed me from 5 different email addresses ... every time I mark one as spam or block it, you send me an email from a different email address ... Then, people using ISPs in Germany, Poland and Madison, WI, moved on to my Blogger blog, viewing dozens of times per day. I blocked their IPs, and they used different ones ... I changed the url of my blog a few times and they find it anyway ... I got tired of playing:


... and I don't do the same thing over and over expecting a different result (which I hear is a sign of insanity), so I quit blocking IPs and stopped blocking and changing my blog's url ...

"Monk" is almost over ... I'm already the "luckiest MONK fan in the World ..."

When asked if the "Monk" writers employed a psychic to read my mind and if they bugged my house so that they writers could put things I would like into the scripts specifically for me, Tom Scharpling responded: "Yes, and keep up the good work!"

Ted singing karaoke in "Vegas" ... Filming "the Office" episode at the office building where I worked ... Sharon Lawrence (one of my favorite actresses) ... the list goes on!

Another writer/producer recently thanked me for being "such a great fan"!

I'm thrilled enough to have had "Monk" to love for the past eight years ... Like "Tommy," the "Kid", I love Monk unconditionally ... Ooooh, and my name is pronounced "Tommy"! It was kinda cool to hear how much Adrian loved "Tommy" and pretend to myself he was saying "Tami" and pronouncing my name correctly!

So, since I've been the "luckiest MONK fan in the World ..." for eight years ...

If Monk Admin has you both listed in the final week, it will be hard to choose between you. I guess I'll have to flip a coin.

You both have been around as long as I can remember, and I have always appreciated your contributions to the Monk board, especially when you shared the insider stuff. It takes hard work and dedication to attain interviews/photos/tours and great generosity to share it with the rest of us.

No matter who is chosen for this thing - thank you - both!

Congratulations Teresa. If anyone deserves the title it has to be you. You have kept us informed on the Monk goings on for all these years and never once have you "tooted your own horn" claiming to be anything more than a fan. Next to you should come Alex or Tonyfan for their continued "Love of Monk" and Metacomet for her searching the net to find us all those little tidbits we all want to see and read.

That's right! But, there's no doubt you're the most dedicated in promoting and defending the show. After the first time I saw Monk in Brazil, it was already in season three to four in US and when I googled for information, guess who came first, yes, The Monk Fun Page. I also wrote to you and you gently answered. I thought that was so kind of you. And after that I discovered Monk had many other sweet fans. So, If it's to choose only one fan, my vote is also for you. Fans like you really helped the show to grow and spread around the world.
