In Season 4.0 there was a move towards more serious plot lines and character interactions, between Shawn being shot and the increasing tension between Lassie and Shawn, as well as Gus, (all while perfectly maintaining the comedy Psych is loved for)... has there been any discussion on how to treat continuity regarding the more serious aspects of the show between episodes in a stand-alone show format? (Especially when some episodes of 4.0 were shot out of order of the way they aired.)

Or, simple, concise simplification of the question:
Will we see implications of or fall out from Shawn being shot in the 4.5 episodes?

I have two questions:

(1) Will we ever find out about what Shawn did/where he went during the years he wasn't in Santa Barbara?

(2) In the episode "Ghosts", Shawn tells Gus over the phone that he hasn't seen his mom in a few years, but it's only his dad that he seems to (at least outwardly) have issues with; is there a backstory to why it's been so long since he and his mom visited each other?

What would you like to see Shawn and Gus do in terms of investigations or situations?

Now that the fourth season is close to ending, is it easier to get the USA execs to OK things they consider a little sketchy or are there still battles over what's going too far? What was the one thing they wouldn't let stay, you would've paid anything to see?

Has the chief been kidnapped by pirates or is she on a VERY long extended family vacation with her non-existant husband and daughter who is still 1 years old? (BTW what are their names?) Another words; where in the world is Carmen San Diego? Because I miss the character interaction between Chief Vick and Shawn. Will there ever be an episode where Chief Vick helps out in an investigation? Maybe even go under cover? We love our side characters as much as the main characters! BTW I hope I spelt Chief right because it would be wrong if Vick suddenly picked up a new job title and is cooking in the back of some restaurant.

Let me start by saying I LOVE the way we've seen the partnership & friendship develop between Lassiter & O'Hara over the last few seasons. It's so absolutely refreshing to see a kick ass male-female duo on screen that has no B.S. "will they hook up?" sexual tension between them. And now my question...

Q: Steve Franks mentioned at ComicCon that we'd continue to see their friendship develop and get to see "Lassiter's softer side" in "A Very Juliet Episode" when he becomes her confidant in all things love. I checked out the casting sides and found it to be surprisingly Lassiter-free, nothing in there about the gruff Head Detective and dating advice. Did these scenes get cut, or are you saving the best parts for the episode? (PLEASE tell me they didn't get cut!)

Q: I truly enjoyed Lassiter's "vision" in "Bollywood Homicide" when he thinks he solves the case, even though he was actually wrong. My question is - will Lassiter ACTUALLY solve a case in an upcoming episode?

Q: We've been privileged enough to see many bad ass Lassiter moments in season 4 so far (the double Glock shootout, the duel in Old Sonora, etc.) Will fans be treated to more "gun porn" by the continued showcasing of the Head Detective's mad shooting skillz?

Q: Side note - will we get to see Juliet fire her gun? I think we've only seen that once in "Tuesday The 17th".

Q: I'm betting Steve Franks, as well as several of the other writers, are fans of one Mr. Blake Edwards. Will we ever see a tribute or reference to his epic globe trotting comedy "The Great Race" (starring Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis) on Psych?
