Corgisme

I have a Welsh Corgi, my second. A beautiful tri-color male that I get huge compliments from people. He is extremely well trained and loves to "obey". Great persona, etc.
Here is my question - I want to show him but he was neutered as a puppy, and have been told - no, can't do it.
Certainly there is some venue for us.

Unfortunetly you can not show your dog in Conformation. The whole purpose of a dog show is to select breeding stock, so allowing an altered dog (no matter how beautiful or correct in type) is pointless. Simply put a neutered dog can in no way impact the breed, because its unable to produce offspring.
You can however, compete in AKC performance events, such as Obedience, Agility and Herding. (Just to name a few) All of which you can earn AKC titles. From the sound of it, your dog should do quite nicely in performance if he is as well trained as you say, and likes to obey. Performance events are much more fun for the novice exhibitor. Go to www.akc.org to get started.
Goodluck!
