Episodes are scheduled well in advance. This is World Series week and more than likely it was figured there would be a game on Tuesday of this week. How long different playoff series last will shift the start by a day or two. In this case the game is Weds instead of Tues. And FOX has it this year so other networks are looking to not compete - although both NCIS and NCIS:LA are new next week.
