Full Version: Real life hero DEA Agent Michael Weston killed in Afghanistan
USA Network Forums > USA Network Originals > Burn Notice
JCNJ
For those of you following the news, one of the three DEA agents killed in the October 26 helicopter crash in Afghanistan was named Michael Weston. Sixteen Americans died in the crash in total. I think it would be especially appropriate if one of the episodes of Burn Notice in the new season were to briefly honor these sixteen brave Americans, including a real life hero with a TV name. Please support this.

Deepest sympathies to the families...and RIP to them and all our soldiers KIA, and permanently wounded...physically and mentally...

I don't know if the show would go there 'politically'...but a direct soldier related storyline would work....Sam being a Navy Seal...he's still got 'contacts' all over creation...or maybe a KIA could be a friend of one of the FBI agents that used to chase him/them...and they find him sauced in Carlito's....etc.....

Just a thought....

My sincerest sympathy for the loss of your friend, Mcondrey. Surely, BN could dedicate a show to Agent Michael Westen, D.E.A..

to all who died , my prayers go to you and yours on the wings of the Eagle and the Crow that you and your families find comfort and peace that you are free from this earthly bond and no longer in harms way. You are free to watch over the warriors left to fight and their families. May you show yourself when the times are right.

Pictures were up this morning. There is a resmblance between the two Michael Westons, age, stature the real life MW had a Law Degree(s) from Stanford and Harvard?!....no doubt three of the top agents..so sad

Mcondrey, I was away from the forum at the end of October and just saw this thread, belatedly, for the first time. I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of the fifteen with him.

Now I join many others on the forum in praying for you and all who loved Michael Weston. My heart is with you as you remember your brilliant and brave friend who died a hero.

We honor him.

Actually I think it was the one named Chad Michael who had worked in FL. It discusses them by their last names at the end. Weston, it says, had worked in Richmond. All very sad though.

I have no idea how tv production works and if Fox can or will do anything directly to honor Michael Weston now that the Season 3 programming is complete.

But the stars of Burn Notice do care about the sacrifices made by those who serve.

And they are doing something about it. Today it was quietly announced that Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell had just departed for Iraq as part of a USO tour. They will be accompanied by Bruce's brother who is career military. You can read more on the Bruce Campbell web site.

My sympathies to the family and friends of these brave people for their loss. And my great thanks and appreciation to these and all those who sacrifice their lives on our behalf.

I'm glad that Bruce and Jeffrey are visiting the troops today of all days in particular, to honor our great veterans, past and present.
