I have some battleship pics from when I was a little heavier if you need them. I come from an all-military family and my brother's father-in-law was a Navy Chief. We toured his old battleship and I've got a picture of myself in front of it with my mother Nancy.

No . . . but you CAN be impressed that I have knowledge and am not shocked like YOU are . . . at one of the most common threads in any forum - the, "Post pics of yourself" thread. You have obviously never heard of this type of thread, are therefore a noob, and should possibly stop posting until you have browsed a few more forums.

EDIT: You can also be impressed that I can spell, "supposed" - and can even include the "d" - no extra charge.

That's cool. I accept your label. I like being simple minded and getting loaded up on caffeine. Mornings are my favorite time - when as far as the eye can see everyone is as groggy and red-eyed as I am.

Think of me as dumb, groggy, and silly all you like. My attitude really works well in political situations. I score lots of hugs and handshakes.

I never buy lemons anymore. I use lemon juice for when I bake salmon or grill shark steak or swordfish - the latter 2 with lots of added Mrs. Dash and butter of course. A bottle of lemon juice in the fridge is great - especially when you end up with a couple of extra avacados and leftover salsa . . . instant guacamole!! I made guacamole bacon bison burgers last night - with all the fixins.

Probably. That's why I agreed to let the poster call me dumb. I can be dumb - and ornery - and slightly vicious. I probably need to . . . go out on a nice date with a member of the opposite sex. You know - some R & R. Personally I think there should be a regulation that makes the sailor go on the shore leave before he turns into a maniac . . . but, hey - what do I know right?

i just wanted to say that i have never seen a thread dedicated to posting pictures of ourselves. this entire usa board is like my tiny charter school. we don't have a lot a vain or ignorant enough people to do something like that.

Posting pics is fun. Posting a pic of yourself puts a face with a name. Is there a reason why you don't want people to see your face? Post away - I promise that the thought, "You're so vain - you prolly think this song is about you . . ." - will be the last thing on MY mind.

EDIT: And hey - it's okay if you're shy but . . . are you an enemy spy? Why do you feel you have to say it's vain for a user to want to show their face? Should we post ourselves wearing veils?

i think of posting pics of yourself as more of a showy thing than putting a face with a name. i'm good with people just seeing my dog and the name "gooie" and being able to make a face with that

Well if you're in the U.K. you can get free glasses - to see better. The world is getting better (and more like a situation where you can get free eyewear) - farmers are trying to get other farmers to farm more in America "We should have a small farm every 10 miles" - said a concerned farmer . . . start just feeding people with quality produce. Instead of mass producing so much - small-time farmers are more likely to - care about what goes in your body. The little guy takes more pride in his work, etc..

Well . . . I won't win a mean contest because it's not what I'm best at. We should all try to be nice.

I try - but I seem to bring out the worst in people. Sooner or later I rub everyone the wrong way . . . then have to defend myself.

You know - if this world wasn't so selfish and folks would share the scotch we'd all be much happier (and buzzed - more likely to MYOB - Mind Your Own Business . . . the world round). It's amazing what a poor man can do with just $20.00 . . . just a 20 dollar bill. A twenty can really make your day. When I played guitar with punk rock squatters in California we always hoped to get a twenty . . . but never did.
