Honestly I really don't want that to happen. I think it would be really odd, and mess up a good story.

And how like anti-shippers to be completely rude. I think livelaughlove was simply trying to ask how many people want this option ONLY. The question wasn't, what ship do you want? It was, who wants Monk/Natalie? I don't think a poll was absolutely necessary for this question as this could have easily just been a thread for all those in favor of the ship to congregate, but for whatever reason, livelaughlove wanted a poll to get an actual running count (possibly since some people vote, but don't comment? Who knows).

But, in all seriousness, I try to respect all ships and anti-ship, so it ticks me off when others can't be as mature. I'm sorry if I'm blowing up about this, as I respect all of you and love what you contribute to the fan community and don't mean to attack any of you or want anyone angry with me. It just makes me angry when opposing shippers/anti-shippers do this. (And this goes to any M/N shippers who do it to other ships/anti-ships!)

Perhaps the poster could have just let people reply rather than adding a poll. But then people might have added comments that didn't agree with the original poster...as any good anti-shipper would.

My vote would have been 'no'...I see them as friends -good friends. But someone who doesn't like the sound of "Adrian" probably wouldn't be a love-match for someone named "Adrian".

How about I just say, yes, I think the chances of it happening or at least being hinted at now are much greater than they were before. I think Randy/Sharona happening proves that the writers are in charge and can put anyone together (and yes, not put them together too) they want to no matter what fans think. I'm sure they were aware people ship Randy/Natalie that could have been upset, but they went ahead with their own inclinations anyways. Iin the end, it's still their show and they can do whatever they want. I think people who don't get this are the ones with their heads in the clouds, not necessarily the shippers.
