I had just got home, it was a Friday, and the best part about it was I had Monday off. About half way though my movie I was watching my phone rang. "Oh God," I thought "what do they want now." I looked at the caller id and it was Fin so I answered it.
Thirty minutes later I met him at the hospital looking for Dr. Calliope.
"Hey, Liv!" Fin called "You know what's going on?"
"No, why am I even here, I took my vacation time. Did you try to call Munch?"
"Yeah but he's working with the homicide on a cold case that they just got new evidence on."
"What about Elliot?"
"His mom got arrested because she hadn't been taking her meds and he's over there sorting out the situation."
"So Its just us?"
"Yeah, just us."
When we finally found Dr. Calliope he told us what had happened, "It's terrible really, she slit her wrists and she just barely made it. We asked her why she did what she did she said that she was raped."
"So," Fin asked "Where's the rape kit? Did she have any fluids? Does she know who did this to her?"
"Well Detective," He said somberly "We can't do that because she's about four weeks along."
"What?" I gasped "She's pregnant?"
"Yes, ma'am. Like I said about four weeks along."
I took Fin aside and gave him my theory "So, she was raped and probably was too scared to tell her parents or even ask for the morning after pill, she must've been late and the nightmares and flashbacks combined with the grief she would've gotten for being pregnant at a young age made her so depressed she cut herself."
He nodded his head and said "I'll go talk to her and you talk to her parents"

"Mrs and Mr.Jenkins? I flashed my badge to the concerned parents.
Mr. Jenkins rose to his feet, "Yes? How's my Kare-Bear?"
"Kari's is going to be just fine, I just have a few questions to ask"
"Ok, ask away" interjected Mrs. Jenkins
"Well, have you noticed any changes in Kari's behavior in the past month or so?"
"Well she broke up with her boyfriend last month, she said he was cheating on her but he was a nice boy, I couldn't see him doing that to her."
Mrs. Jenkins added "He always called me ma'am and him sir. We went out to dinner with his parents and they said he was always a help around the house, they have a lot of children and a little baby, plus the dad's job keeps him away almost all the time he seems to work the graveyard shift all the time!
"What was her boyfriends name?"
"Oh shucks," Mr. Jenkins complained "What was the boys name Mary? Something starting with a D."
Mrs. Jenkins had just opened her mouth to say something when I heard Fins voice say "Was it Dickie?"

"Oh yes!" Mrs. Jenkins responded "What a nice boy why do you need to talk to him?"
I was in shock Dickie rapping some one didn't he know what Elliot deals with everyday? But, then again Elliot's even told us what happens a work stays in the office and what happens at home stays at home. "Well Mrs Jenkins, if her boyfriend had noticed the way she's been acting then we can figure out the reason why Kari did what she did."
The Jenkins' nodded their heads but didn't say anything so I left Fin at the hospital to take care of the vic and her family while I went to go talk to Kathy and get a hold of the situation before something got out, it would be worse than Fin's nephew's situation.

When I walked up to Elliot's front door I heard Eli crying so I knocked loudly instead of Lizzie or Dickie answering the door it was Kathy with Eli in her arms
"Oh Olivia!" Kathy cried "Thank God you're here! Can you hold Eli for one moment, please?"
I took the precious one year old in my arms and softly cooed until he stopped crying
"Wow, he must like you," Kathy called from the kitchen "You have the mother's touch."
Kathy walked back over with a luke warm bottle of milk and cold mac-n-cheese while setting him in his high chair, "Thanks for holding him, he gets even more fussy when he's in his chair with out any food. How are you, I'm assuming you're here for Elliot but he's... not here right now."
"Oh yeah I know that, Fin said he was with his mom sorting out her not taking her med or something."
Kathy looked shocked for a moment but I passed it off as a look of pain because Eli started to shriek in her ear "Oh yeah, I just love Bernie, so if it's not for him why are you here?"
"Well, do you know a Kari Jenkins?"
Kathy looked puzzled "Yeah... Dick's old girlfriend, like I said why are you here?"
her tone suggested she was getting angry so I tried to play a little more nicer.
"I think she might be accusing Dickie that he rapped her, now I'm not sure but she is now pregnant and she said he was her last boyfriend so when, and if, this becomes an actual case whoever is on the case will look to Dick and I wanted to see if I can talk to him."
After I said that headlights flashed though the window and an engine cut off, "El's home" I thought.

Elliot’s point of view
I was about a mile from my house and was not in the mood to see Kathy. ‘Where were you? Why didn’t you call?’ As far as I know she probably thought was cheating, I wouldn’t put it past her. She always thinks that when I call home saying I need to stay late. Finally home I pulled into the driveway.
“crap.” I saw the Sedan “I’m not in the....ughhh!” Just grin and bear it I thought.

When I got though the door Kathy’s face said it all ‘Where the hell were you?” I knew it.
“Liv? Um... Why are you here?” I asked calmly even though on the inside I was frantic
“How’s Bernie? John said she got arrested, is she good now?”
I moved from the door to the couch and sat beside Kathy and waved to Eli.
“Da da.” He babbled
“She’s good she’s in the hospital now... she’s good. So what’s up, why are you here?”
Olivia shifted in her seat “It’s about Dickie, do you know Kari? Well she cut her wrists.”
Kathy interrupted “What? Poor Mary, how are they?”
My faced felt cold and I couldn’t feel my hands, the only reason Liv would be here is if she cried rape. “So that’s it, she cries rape and you believe her? God Liv if Alex finds out you came here she’ll think you ‘warned’ us and the jury will find him guilty, Thanks a lot!” I stood up and grabbed my coat.
“Where are you going?” Kathy called
“OUT!”
