I'm at a loss to figure out why we're not allowed to log out anymore, and I can't get an answer of any kind from admin. What happened?

I have no idea but it's probably so you don't have to remember your password or something.

I'm still seeing the link by my screenname top left, below that white collar guy - are you? Is that not working? It may be a php security upgrade that's caused a temporary glitch. smile.gif

Or, maybe it just broke, software IS prone to start functioning wobbley-style. wink.gif In which case, it should be fixed soon - people and admins don't "forget" about things like that, usually. cool.gif

As a php forum-admin (elsewhere) myself I can't see anyone leaving a link that just won't work - bad idea, think of all the e-mails/PMs! laugh.gif

Just clear your cookies and completed forms etc, job done!

(BTW OT I cannot say how much I LOVE your sig Yvette88! If there was that "thumbsup" smiley, well, count it here! wink.gif smile.gif )

I am still seeing a 'log out' link next to my name--that's why I'm asking if it's now just a dummy button. I click it over and over and over again, and it doesn't log me out.

Gotcha - because sometimes people (or just a browser glitch) can accidentally set their own access up with a lo-fi version of a board, and if that happens and they just use that version, or if they have some other issue out of the millions of combinations of hardware, operating systems, browsers, etc then board software updates are sometimes rendered weirdly on their screens, and - well, things start to break! wink.gif

Again I don't know for sure, but I still think it's probably a software glitch, like I said there's no advantage and beacoup hassles to be had from anything that breaks, I know this from my own experience! cool.gif

php boards like this one are regularly updated in rather staggering ways to add new features, and also to keep their members secure, as spammers and other scum are regularly trying to crack their security, and do other bad badness. wink.gif

Since that stuff's usually done by bots and not real people, the attacks are almost never personal to any one board, but it does mean that updates are ongoing and as I said, having adminned one, you just sometimes get glitches or get behind on one area and it can cause all sorts of bugginess! sad.gif

But that's PURE speculation of course, I'm new here and just chipping in my two cents - some comment or words from an admin or moderator would be in order around now, maybe? wink.gif

I've PMed admin on this and other issues/questions. I never get any kind of response. Ever.

I cannot log out either any more. mad.gif It is really disturbing. What will happen next? unsure.gif

I wonder, how Forum knows, that it is me, who is here? blink.gif What if somebody else comes to the Forum through this computer, which I use, would this person then be logged in as me? How this place know, who there is......
