Okay, yall. I don't know if reps for our actors check message boards, but with all the hoopla, they just might. So I am starting this to post messages to the three of them. Please no derogatory comments about any other cast members. Just positive messages to Vincent, Kathryn and Eric. I'll start with a very simple one.
We've got your back, guys!!

It breaks my heart to even think that Robert Goren's stories are all told. He is the most intriguing character I have ever had the pleasure to watch on television. I anticpate each new episode with glee to see what new things he has to share.
I've been taken for a great ride - the fabulous evolution of Robert Goren. He began as a precocious puppy and matured through adversity to a dignified mature man, all incarnations brilliantly and subtly portrayed by Vincent D'Onofrio.
Kathryn Erbe's Eames is his perfect fit. Yin to his Yang.
I will mourn the loss of their characters and celebrate the pleasure they have given me. When they are gone from Criminal Intent, so am I.
And if I'm not making myself clear.... I want USA to hammer out a deal for another 8 episodes of Goren and Eames. Characters of this calibre will forever be welcome in my house.

I have only watched CI for the past 3 years, but I am utterly devastated by the news. I feel like I've spent 10 years with this show. That is a true testament to you, the fine actors who have made this show really personal to us fans! We don't want to lose you guys! There can be no CI without you! We love you and will not stop fighting for you! Hope to see you back on the show really soon!

Thank you Vincent D' Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian for keeping my favorite show alive as long as you have! I have thoroughly enjoyed your captivating performance. The only way I would ever have imagined wanting to see you all leave the cast of Law & Order: Criminal Intent is if we were to be treated by watching you every week in a new show. While I'm campaigning to keep you all in your current roles I wish you all the most success and happiness whether you stay or move on to future endeavors!

For years Law and Order: Criminal Intent has been frequent, regular viewing in my house. Every new episode has been awaited with eager anticipation to see what Goren would do next. My 11-year-old, who suffers serious health problems and is on kidney dialysis, has a picture of Bobby hanging on her wall. Bobby and Alex find themselves in the company of Abraham Lincoln as her heroes, and mine. Thank you for enriching our lives and know that we stand behind you all the way, to LOCI and beyond. Thank you for making your fans important. You are treasured, too.

Just going to make it short and sweet.
Vincent and Kathryn, i thank you from the very bottom of my heart, for giving us Goren and Eames. Criminal Intent was something to look forward to and something to lose myself in. It opened my mind up to a whole new world of Criminology, something which captured my interest and held it. Something i am now pursuing. Your devotion to your work, to charities and to, most importantly, your families, is something i dearly respect. You are both extremely talented actors and i will continue to follow your terrific work. You have my standing ovation.
Thank-you.

Kathryn Erbe-I mention you first because Vincent's Goren usually gets the initial praise, with Eames mentioned as an afterthought. Alex Eames has been a wonderful character-sardonic, tough, smart, and sexy. She's human and feeling, but doesn't take anyone's crap. And because this is a show about partners, I will also add that Goren relies on Eames for so much-keeping him grounded, watching his back, deflating his ego with a witty comment, being his only real friend.
Vincent D'Onofrio-What more can be said about the character Robert Goren? He's so endearing to me-he reminds me of lots of friends I've had-the insanely smart, vaguely pompous man with the brilliant insights into human psychology, without realizing his own incredibly awkward social skills. I love this character! He's the most multi-dimensional cop on TV! One of a kind.
Eric Bogosian-I will admit I was a little skeptical when Jamey Sheridan left and broke up the little "family" we had gotten used to. But Danny Ross quickly became a fully fleshed-out character who I've grown to love, too. Your interactions with both sets of cops on the show is dry and real.
I'll miss you all! I've been watching these characters for so long, it really does feel like I'll be losing a group of old friends.

How do you condense eight years into goodbye? I was there for the first episode I will be there for your last episode. The show may go on, but after you leave, I leave, it's had it's ups and downs, good shows and bad, but always Vince you gave it 100%. Thankyou for the honor of watching your amazing performance as Goren, you made him real for us, you gave him a heart and a soul. No one can replace you, ( no matter what T.P.T.B. think) you are the heart of Criminal Intent and without the heart the body dies. R.I.P. Criminal Intent.

I too, want to thank the actors...especially Kathryn and Vincent. While I do enjoy the moveis you all have made, LOCI has its own place in my heart and mind. You would be surprised by the things I have actually learned from this program...not just trivial information, but things I can actually put into my own life and the decisions about what takes place and how I deal with it.
You have brought me much joy and even a few tears with your acting on the show. I appreciate the dedication you have shown in sticking with the show through the ups and down, strikes and negotations. With LOCI, I had a day to look forward to all week no matter what else was happening. Sometimes it seemed it was my reward for getting through another week. It was my quiet time, it was my own private time. This is hard to say, and may seem a bit weird since this really is just a tv program, but it will not be the same without you there. You will be missed.
I want to say I do understand if you needed a change. And if this was your choice, I do support your decisions in that reguard. I hope to be able to follow your careers, whatever you decide to do next.
Thank you.

I can't say it any better than my board buddy KimT. Thank you for the great entertainment that you've given us over the years. I have never been so into a show as I have LOCI. That is thanks to the great stories and the interesting, human, quirky, compassionate, smart, funny, snarky wonderful characters that you created. Your show also lead me to this message board we're I've met wonderful people with whom I shared a lot of laughs and sometimes sad real life situations that we have supported each other through. Thank you for that too. I look forward to seeing you on the big and small screen in the future. LOCI wont be the same without you.

I want to thank all three of you for portaying such real like charecters. They are wonderfull, and all of them will leave in my heart forever.
Vincent: You portrayed somebody I can relate to, somebody that is just like me. SOmebody, even through they techically weren't real, they lodged themselve in my brain, and helped me when I am down, sad, angry, or any feelings at all. Bobby, will and always be somebody I can look up to. I love him. And I want to thank you for that.
Kathryn: YOu have portayed an actuall person who has inspired me to actually try to be normal. With my aspergers... Hygiene is a hard part for me. And Alex Eames very much inspires me to do very much better in that aspect of your life.
Your smile is wonderfull, and when I see it, It always brightens up my Day.
I thank you.
Eric: You portayed Danny Ross, he is very wondeful. He is a wonderfull charecter that is a very true one. He is very much brillant, and you did a brillant job.
Your suits are also VERY awesome! I love them.

Bumping to get this back on page 1 so people can continue sharing their goodbyes. Once someone else posts, I'll delete this one. In the past, Vault was able to help us get message threads like these to the actors through a writer friend of hers. If she is still able to do that, we will try to arrange it if and when they actually leave the show. So just a reminder, in case we are able to send these messages to them...please keep it clean. Post only things you would be comfortable knowing their families (especially their children) might read them.
For me...I just can't find the words yet. I'm not ready to say good bye.

I am so bad at saying good-bye- the emotions are just too overwhelming. Many, many thanks to Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, and Eric Bogosian for giving us such believable characters to watch. Your fan base is not dictated by what the USA Network tries to tell us is quality programming. If this situation is not recitified first and foremost for your benefit, and then for the benefit of your many fans, then I hope some "other network" executive snatches you up for another intriguing and captivating story. Goren and Eames cannot be replaced or duplicated in any manner. Mr. D'Onofrio I have stated in various emails and blogs that you are truly a leading man because you play your character - with character. Only a man of integrity and humility can do this with such success. Thank you Kathryn and Eric for supporting Vincent in creating the stories within the story that kept us coming back for more - and I am still here if you get the opportunity to continue. Please don't give up on the TV genre Vincent. I want to be able to see you as often as possible to watch how you develop a character over time that just isn't possible in a 2 hour movie even though I love to watch the range of character development. Your characters are distinct and believeable each time.
I hope that someone will share with these actors the well wishes of their fans - even in paraphrase form, so they know we are in this fight with them.
