Well, to answer your original question (about who Shawn should date) I think the answer is obvious...ME! lol. Jk...kinda. Well, we all know we want Shawn to get with Juliet, and I think the girl Gus was into in From Earth to Starbucks was a pretty good fit (seems fitting since that was his real life wife...) and I would actually probably fit better with Gus than Shawn, though I would prefer Shawn...but I digress.

I gotta disagree with you about Abby. I actually like her, ::ducks volley of rotten tomatoes and pitchforks thrown by the angry natives:: Really! If I weren't such a huge Shules shipper I would say they work great. I do say that. I thought they had very cute banter in the Bollywood epi when he's giving her a tour of the station (Ex. when they're following Lassiter and Shawn's giving her the various options he has for retorts to Lassiter's 'Gotta go solve another case in record time' comment).

The one person I wouldn't like to see back is Mira. Didn't feel any chemistry there for Gus from word one and hope she never shows up again.

Shawn's the kind of person that could be with just about anyone, but I'm interested to see where and how far his relationship with Abby goes, and when it ends (which I'm sure it will) I hope it's not one of those, 'hey, been a while since we've seen Abby, what hapened to her?' 'oh, we decided to go our separate ways' type deals. Lets see some drama guys!!

I like Abigail and to me she clicks with Shawn. But I think I'm out numbered here. Yeah Jules and Shawn are "cute" and all, but for me, it's a "typical romance".

Mira was fun because she made Shawn's antics look normal and calm. LOL So I would bring her back for a case or something but not for Gus' love interest. My fav for Gus is Jessica (from Earth to Starbucks).

It might be "typical" and all shows have them. But it's what's right lol. Now I am a very big Shules fan as a good majority of us are and i wasn't too happy about the introduction of Abigail, but shes grown on me. RLC is adorable and she brings that to the character. Bollywood homicide showed that in a way she is very very good for Shawn, making it difficult for him because we all know he still likes Juliet. In the end it's going to force him to be somewhat of an adult an make a decision.

I think the answer to who Shawn should be dating is a NO BRAINER!!! IT HAS TO BE JULIET, they have such wonderful chemistry together, so much so infact that they are a couple in real life. They have an electrifying magnetism when they share a scene together, even when they are just going over normal case related stuff you can just feel it, it is a pure joy to watch, and when they hit the flirt-romance button, i am like, WOW !! when these two finally get together it's going to be aaawsome!!! I am torn on as to when it should happen, because on the one hand i am dying to see these two together right now, but on the other hand if they do it now then the fun of seeing Shawn and Juliet's love for one another develope will be over, after all the fun is in the chase (for me the show just would not be the same without those wonderful “Shules” moments that Maggie and James play so brilliantly well. It is definately going to happen but i think that it will be during the last season (hopefully not the last episode of the final season they should at least give us 4 or 5 episodes with them as a couple after making us wait so long) the wonderful thing about the Shawn and Juliet's “almost-romance” are the romantic treats that the writers give us every now and then just to keep us going until it finally happens, and they are doing a great job of that.

We are almost halfway through season 4 and it's pretty obvious how they feel about eachother. Even with Shawn dating Abigail (who i do like, by the way), you see that he is struggling to hide his feelings towards Juliet, remember the last scene in “Bollywood homicide” when he almost slipped-up in front of Abigail, and let us not forget the whole “jealouse Shawn” at Juliet's house when she comes home from a fake date with Raj. She wasn't at all bothered that he was there waiting for her, infact i think she actually enjoyed the fact that he was jealouse, but at the same time feeling confused. I have realy felt bad for her in the last two episodes (we are getting to see sides of her that we have never seen before) in “Bollywood Homicide” she was realy sentimental, and had to endure Shawn parading around with his girlfriend, and we see the “fallout” of this in “High top fade out” where she is very cold towards Shawn and seems to be realy annoyed with him, he has hurt her feelings and to deal with this she throws herself into her work, i have a feeling that their current situation will be resolved in the now infamous “Shawn takes a shot in the dark” episode.

I can't wait to see how Shawn reacts to Juliet's ex-boyfriend making an appearance in episode 11, i have a feeling that jealous Shawn will be back in full effect (this is payback for Abigail), from what i have found out the ex is only in it for one episode, because in episode 12 she is going out on a date with a diferent guy who she apparently doesn't seem to be very keen on.

I WOULD LIKE THE SHOW TO END WITH A DOUBLE WEDDING !!! SHAWN AND JULIET, AND GUS AND HIS LOVE INTREST, WITH LASSITER AS THEIR BEST MAN, AND CHIEF VICK AS THE MADE OF HONOUR. IT WOULD BE A GREAT WAY TO END THE SHOW!!!


For me it is a given, Juliet and Shawn are soulmates, and it is clear that they are meant to be together.

As for Gus, he will be getting a romantic intrest in the second half of the season, so we'll see what happens there.

I love Shules, but after Juliet, I think the best girl for Shawn would be Lacey from "Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Piece" (the bad girl). She was funny, a little naughty (aside from the thievery and murder), and didn't go into the family business. She'd be perfect for Shawn if she wasn't arrested for robbery and murder.

I think he should date both, at the same time. And Jules and Abigail can date each other as well.

being a shules enthusiast myself, i would say shawn SHOULD date jules...they're just perfect for each other. their personalities complement ...(and not just because shawn copied jules' answers in the personality match questionnaire)

one is immature (but can be responsible at times), the other is mature (and sometimes concerned with comic books, himalayan mani- pedi, and e.g. and soap operas) , one is goofy (but can be serious), the other is serious (but has funny side too), and both have strong, colorful, and interesting well- rounded personalities...

on the other hand, it's also good that they brought abigail to the show to make it a little more complicated.abigail's personality seems to be a lot more similar with Gus though, and since shawn and gus' relationship is time tested, shawn and abigail's relationship would probably seem to be more like a friendship rather than a romantic one

to sum up, it's shabigail that is platonic and shules that is romantic

But, I disagree that there is anything wrong with Abigail. She's smart, funny, and really clicks with Shawn. She "gets" his humor completely and keeps up with his bantering as well or even better than Gus sometimes! If it weren't for Jules and the fact that Shawn actually has feelings for Jules, I'd say that Abigail is perfect for him.

What I love about how this show is playing out the relationship is specifically that Abigail is so great for Shawn! It would be boring and cliche to make her a *witch* or unfit in other ways. Making her so great for him adds a new twist to everything. I approve

Though, I also have no problem at all with Abby's character. In "He Dead" I wasn't thrilled about how she interjected herself into the issues with Shawn and Henry, but they more than made up for it in Bollywood. :]


I love the ease they have around each other, and how automatically they fit into their banter & she was pretty adorable throughout.They have such an awww factor about them. Needless to say, they remind me of a high school couple. Especially at the end with them running off to take fake mug shots. =D

I think that's the point, though. They're broadcasting (quite well) how easy it is for Shawn to be with her, and how even though he's "growing up" in being in a relationship with her...it is still him essentially playing it safe.

With Juliet things have never been that simple. And it shouldn't be; it's complicated &real. <3

What I love most about them is that no matter how many time the both of them have tried to move on, they're never able to shake how they feel about each other.

Shawn tells her flat out in the season 2 finale, "You've had your shot." (Being as how nothing came of their almost kiss) & yet in Bueller he's right back where he started.

From there on, and even right now its been this constant back & fourth of either trying to move on (Joy, April, Fire Inspector) or trying to get closer to her.

And with his little, "Oh, she's not random..." I'm thinking' that all his efforts are in vain. =D

I completely agree. I think Shawn and Abigail have a great relationship, but Shawn and Juliet have a deeper relationship. I hope that when Shawn and Abigail break up it will let them both get away without either of them looking bad, and I think the writers will be able to do that. As much as I love Shules, I think that I can wait a little longer for them to actually get together because their relationship right now is really interesting. No matter how it plays out, I trust the writers to make it good

I am definitely a Shules shipper, but they can't get together too soon, that would ruin all the fun. Abigail is a good obstacle in Shawn and Jules's relationship, but it will only be interesting for so long. Abigail is funny ("you're not bald, you're taller than your hair" -- hahaha), but the don't really have any chemistry and she doesn't really bring out anything in Shawn the way Jules does. Shawn and Jules are very complementary, which is why they are so good together. They have to keep them separate for as long as possible to keep the romantic fun of the series going, but obstacles, like Abigail, are necessary to keep it interesting. Personally, I can't wait until the tables are turned and Shawn has to deal with Jules being with somebody. Something tells me that he won't be nearly as mature about it as she is!
