So my intention was to take a break from writing for a while and focus on contacting the agents for Psych, but a fellow member contacted me, wanting to co-write a script with me. I thought the idea was interesting, though it will be hard to pull off correctly, so we're writing it now.

Premise: Shawn and Co. set out to solve a crime that occurred 100 years ago.

I've already finished the teaser, which you can find here: Teaser

Wow... Nobody likes it? Well, I can imagine... I always have trouble writing something that I didn't have the original idea for. I have more motivation when I get the idea in the first place.

If you haven't read any of my scripts yet, I recommend a different one. This one might give you a wrong impression, because I know that my other works are much better.

I would totally read this if my computer wasn't being so screwy right now... dry.gif

I like the teaser. I skipped over this thread thinking it was something else. Was looking for new scripts on your other thread (yes, I have a hard time keeping up with too many threads LOL!!).

I'm not sure about the title, but I do like the National Treasure feel to it. biggrin.gif

I also posted it in the other thread, if you prefer that.

Does anybody have any title ideas? I think this is the Psychiest one I've come up with yet, but does anybody have any ideas?

i like it! it has potential for awesomeness lol i will be on the lookout for when it is finished smile.gif

I like it. Where did you come up with Talmadge?

That was my coauthor's idea. I had originally called him William, but he came up with Talmadge, and I liked that. It adds to the "old" feel.

Seriously. This thread needs a bump. how is the script coming along?

Unfortunately, it's taking much longer for my co-author to write than I do. So, really, all that's written is what you've read. He should get his part to me by Sunday, though, and then I can write my part.

I may just write another script while I'm waiting for my co-author.

At least we've got a new episode tonight. C-= Is this his first script? That may be why it's taking so long. I don't know. What I write, I write in normal format, not in script format. (I'm probably not using correct terminology, but that's okay.) So I don't know how long it takes to write.

lol Do you have more script ideas? Do you keep like a list of them or do you just come up with ideas on the spot?

I think he has written a few TV scripts before, but I'm not sure. He's not writing it as a script, anyway, because his screenwriting software is not compatible with mine, which can write in TV format. So he's writing it in MSWord and emailing it to me.

A TV script only takes me a day or two to write, if I don't need research.

I used to just come up with ideas on the spot, but now that I'm sort of in between scripts, the ideas are piling up, so I now have a list.

O wow, I thought you got that from "The Old And The Restless" where henry stays at the retirement home so shawn and gus can have visitor passes so that they can solve a case. Shawn tells the President of the retirement home that henrys name is Talmadge.

i can't wait till you get this done...looks great. I'm patient too...I know great things take time especially writing a script

Major bump. Is the co-author still working, or has the project come to a stand-still? I just barely read the teaser and I would love to read the rest of it.

We're in the middle of re-creating the backstory, but the co-author hasn't gotten back to me yet.
