I love Psych and I love vodka. So I thought it would be fun to combine the two in a Psych Drinking Game.

Warning: This thread is aimed toward the older Psych fans. Please follow the drinking laws of your state/country and please drink responsibly!

I had so much fun coming up with all this stuff! Please comment with any suggestions and feedback you may have.

Dialogue
Take a sip whenever:
• Shawn makes a pop culture reference (chug as he goes on a long string of
references)
• Gus says, “I will kill/slap/hurt you, Shawn.”
• Lassiter attempts to insult someone (two sips if it’s Shawn)
• Henry refuses to help Shawn with a case
• Shawn says, “Gus, don’t be a…” then finishes the sentence with something
completely random (i.e. gooey chocolate chip cookie, exactly half of an 11 pound
black forest ham.
• Shawn refers to Gus as something chocolatey.
• Shawn pauses and tries to figure out the correct way to pronounce a word (i.e.
“staked, stook, staken? Staked!” in Zero to Murder)
• Shawn and Gus scream like little girls or fanboy over something
• Shawn refers to himself as a pop culture icon and says to Gus that, “which makes
you…” (ex: “that makes me Johnny Depp, which makes you Richard Grieco.”)
• Gus cusses.


Fashion
Take a ship whenever:
• Shawn is wearing a button down shirt (two sips if he’s wearing a button down
shirt open over a tee shirt)
• Gus’ shirt is purple, pink, or blue (two sips if his tie is also one of those colors)
• Juliet is wearing a grey suit
• Juliet’s hair is pulled back
• Henry is wearing one of his Hawaiian/tropical print shirts (two sips if someone
else is wearing one of Henry’s shirts)
• Shawn makes fun of someone’s fashion

Other
Take a sip whenever:
• Shawn pretends to have a psychic vision
• Shawn’s vision appears to be wrong
• Shawn flirts on a woman (take a shot if it’s Juliet)
• The outside of the Psych agency is shown
• Shawn strikes a model face
• A pineapple is seen in any shape or form (a pineapple itself, a smoothie,
cake, photograph, whatever)
• Shawn and Gus bump fists
• Shawn makes a loud entrance or announces his entrance into the station/a
room within the station
• Shawn and/or Gus appear on national TV
• Gus cracks a code to a safe or lock

The Bad Guy/Ending
Take a sip if:
• The bad guy ends up being someone who works for the SBPD/Feds
• The perp committed murder to cover an affair or blackmail (take two shots
if both were involved)

personally, my favorites are:

There is no way this is responsible drinking. You could change the rules to choose one or two of these per episode, but trying to do all; you wouldn't make it through the first fifteen minutes. I'd also suggest lining up a replacement liver now. You'll need one. Some adjustments to your "game" might be prudent.

Haha as I was scrolling down the list, I literally said out loud your first sentence in exact words lol....I also said 10 minutes instead of 15 but still by the end of the hour your either passed out, coma or dead

Well, when I say 'drink responsibly' I mean do not attempt to drive a motorized vehicle after playing this game. Stay inside and sleep it off.

I just thought it was funny that you prefaced your drinking game rules with the platitude 'Drink Responsibly', then proceeded to make a to-do list of not drinking responsibly. But I stand by my new liver statement. I thought one played drinking games with old shows that you didn't watch necessarily. Why would you want to get pass-out drunk watching Psych? You'll miss all the good stuff and will be hung over the next day when it replays.

Unless you're playing the drinking game alone (sad and disturbing), live in communal housing or can crawl to your place of residence; a mode of transportation will be necessary. So you're saying everybody gets to play the game except the, what-do-you-call it? ,'designated driver'. Does that actually work?

LOL, usually when I'm at a friend's place partying and drinking, I'm crashing there... they usually don't plan parties with alcohol without planning for people to crash on couches and the floor in advance.

(Just my personal experience of partying)

I think I preferred the olden days, when the people just drove home carefully. That way the only people puking in (or near) your toilet would be you and select guests.

Winky, you always have such interesting avatars. Do you look them up as you get bored with the other or do you have a cache of frog pictures in your computer?

I'll be honest, I have a cache of frog pictures I've previously found just for the purpose of these avatars. I've done some searching in the past for frog pics to use for them.

FUNNY!! If I think I'll play this game with Skittles though...safer for myself, I would fall asleep after one sip!

hhrrrmmm, skittles have this control thing over me though. and none of those come close.

strawberries and cream might do it, chicos might. might have to find some of that sherbet stuff that pops up every now and then here, those things were good.

'Drinking Games' are a longstanding tradition celebrating fandom cliches. One does not need to actually drink to have fun.
