Well, I guess I'll post my 1 and 1/2 cent here...
I really do not think it's a matter of copyright infringement, even though reading a couple of replies to Kayne, it could sound almost so
I totally understood the intent in Kayne's first post. The photo she posts are "her own thing" in the way that she spends time looking for them, uploading them to *her* photobucket account and choosing one that is appropriate with the text she writes and its tone. It has been mentioned earlier in this thread, it could be useful to add a watermark or something. But this also takes time, of course. Moreover, they are not Kayne's personal photos, but mostly screen captions. This being said... I think we are only talking about fair play here. If someone wants to use a photo Kayne (or anyone else, for that matter) posted, well fine, use it.
However, I think there are different possible scenarios:
- photo re-used on this same board: well, fine... it's floating around here. No biggy, right? A bit like in the Caption it! thread. One can repost a photo and change the caption, of course.
- photo re-used on another website: the photo Kayne posted here already comes from another website, where she left a note to say she would use it for this or that purpose, blah blah blah... (which, by the way I find a *very* respectful way to use someone else's online photo collection).
If the photo hasn't been modified by Kayne (faded borders, for example), it may be posted elsewhere, just as it was picked up from the same site Kayne visited in the first place.
If Kayne modified the photo a little bit (fade borders or other minor changes), well in this case, if I wanted to re-post it somewhere else, it would be Fair Play notifying Kayne. Like, "hey, that photo really rocks! Where did you get it?" or "hey, that photo is so cool, I'm gonna post it on that other website I visit..."
It's not asking for permission, it's just being nice and show some appreciation to her work or time she spent posting the photos we all love so much. Coz we gotta be honest here. Who doesn't like those photos and how they fit perfectly with the text?
So, let's just be nice and if we want to re-post one of the photos Kayne used, at least let's upload it on *our own* photobucket account, so Kayne's account bandwidth doesn't exceed the limit (when it does, none of her photos will be viewable by anyone). This may sound a technicality and also, I haven't checked if the "re-posted photos" were actually posted using Kayne's photobucket url or uploaded on another photobucket account. Take this technicality with a big grain of salt, please...

In the end... Play safe and be nice, kids

or play nice and be safe?

PS: as for Mr D'Onofrio weight issues... Well, if I was a man and an actor, and they asked me to put on 40 pounds for a role... and then lose 'em in 2 months for that other role... I'm not sure I would accept the roles, lol. But I'm a woman, and if I was an actress, they would just have to try and ask me to shift weight that fast. I would knock 'em out with a kick in the *****.
Seriously, I don't know what to think about actors weight problems, lol. I do know some actors do not work out at all, unless they are required to be particularly fit for a specific role. In that case, they cut on the pasta

and spend hours in the gym, I guess. But other than that, I think it all depends on the person. For example, I gain weight when I'm very stressed. I could starve myself or go vegetarian and work out etc... but I would still gain fat. Other people just become skinny hangmen when they are stressed.
I do not travel as much as VDO probably does, but I know a bit about travelling, hotels, moving, change beds, food, drinks... It's so easy to go way over board, probably because we get tired from the whole travelling.
Plus, when you attend 'official dinners' you can't really say: I'm skipping desert, thanks... or no thanks, I'll have some still water all dinner long, lol...
And you can't even think of skipping all the other meals coz you're gonna eat like a pig at dinner.
One of the things you are told when you want to have a better diet is: Eat breakfast as a King, Lunch as a Queen and Dinner as a Prince. I'm not sure the translation from the Italian version is correct, but it means we should eat more at breakfast, ok at lunch and little at dinner.
Then, I think that if all the official meetings, galas, events etc... were at breakfast time or at lunch, VDO's weight would come back to normal

AND this PS is way too long... I'm gonna cut it here
