Hello everyone...

My wife and I have been fans of the show from episode one! Though there are always things that fans wish a freshman show would change (for me, it's Evan's apparently unconscious habit of nagging the crap out of everyone with his desire to over-market HankMed!), we still rate this show very highly among our favorites. As a registered nurse (soon to be nurse practitioner), the technical aspects of the show which are true to life, are interesting to me. I personally like how the writers cast Dr. Hank as someone who just isn't after the glory of being "a doctor", but someone who is unassuming, quiet, down-to-earth, and who truly cares about everyone, not just with one segment of the Hamptons population.

By way of background, my wife owns/operates Other Half Entertainment and is manager for the late Laura Branigan, whose last home was in East Quogue in the Hamptons area. Since her passing in 2004, we've held the "Spirit of Love" Memorial Gathering for fans to get together near the Hamptons (specifically Ronkonkoma near Islip airport) every year. During every event, we have a beach memorial near Hampton Bays, and build time in for folks to take a Sunday leisurely trip to Westhampton (which IMO is NOT "worst"hampton by the way) and other spots of note. We came out this year a few days early to relax and enjoy the Hamptons again as a family before we had to "work" the event on Friday through Sunday. As non-Islanders, it was pretty interesting to be able to watch the show that's set on Long Island, while on Long Island. Having spent time in the Hamptons over the past five years, it's cool to be able to watch the show and recognize various location shots, whether we see the show first and recognize spots as we visit them in person, or remember spots and then see them on the show.

PS: Jill, if you're in need of an RN, just tell me where to send the application! :-)
