I think Hank could do a lot better than Jill. She is boring and obnoxious. Too much baggage.
MissEllie
I agree!
VerenFV
The writers are too inconsistent with her. She's shrew-like one episode, fun and caring the next. They need to find what they want her to be and stick with it. I think she at least needs a sly wit to keep up with Hank, but a couple times he says something funny, and they make it seem like she doesn't get it. If she's going to be like that, they need Hank to move on, he wouldn't stay hooked up with a woman like that.

Jill is a waste of space on a great show. USA needs to kick her character to the curb.

Hank's no more interesting. They're ordinary people.

Hank is very interesting when he is doing his work though. He is intriguingly intelligent and he thinks outside the box when it comes to his patients (the freezer slowing the chef's metabolism, dismissing SARS and Avian Flu, etc.). Jill on the other hand doesn't bring much to the table except the snaggletooth that I can't seem to get over...

She's a nice girl, but it always seems so awkward between her and Hank. Hopefully this awkwardness is foreshadowing a short relationship that ends up not working? Or maybe it's unintended awkwardness that is really just bad acting...

Hank has a more interesting job, true, and his character is the main character. But he doesn't bring much to the table in the form of personality. He reacts to crises. He has no apparent interests in anything, not an initiator of much.

I wish they would bring back Hank's first fiancee. There was much more spark between them than between Hank and Jill and she tried to kick start him when he was giving up and headed for loser lifestyle. He can't blame her for that forever!!! It's a logical reaction of any woman who doesn't admire a life on the street corners. Jill & Hank are a manufactured relationship where they are trying to make believe something is there that just isn't. Enough is enough of Jill & Hank. You can keep Jill, but not as his better half.

She's just not boring and obnoxious - she's a flip - floppy b....ch She wants this. She wants that. Than she changes her mind the next second and wants something else. Wants more commitment to her from Hank. Than when he does, she can't make up her mind if she wants to be with him or her ex-husband (who now it turns out is not really her "ex" husband but rather her current husband). I can't see any one in their right mind staying with this witch for long. When her character comes on the show, my whole family reaches for the remote to fast forward past her scene. We don't like Evan much either, but he has his moments and is tolerable, but we don't like anything about Jill. I could almost understand everyone putting up with her if she was really hot, but she's not that either.

So true, oshkosh! After 11 episodes of this queen of the mixed messages, I wish our Hank would get a clue! Maybe the childhood surfboard accident hit more than her shoulder....Time for Henry to move on. Did you wonder if he'd meet up with the ex-fiancee in New York while he was there? (think that ship has sailed, but there WAS a lot more shared passion).

Shmooel_Cohen
I like Jill, but they are all over the place with her character. I think they should get Jill and Hank together, and see where that goes. Right now, this is much too similar to the Shawn and Jules chemistry on Psych- where they may get together, then they won't, and so on. It's way too similar.
deyana17
me and my sister cant stand her...theres always something wrong w her shes always mad about something hank does...leave him alone then u crazy biotch
vf_guy
Isn't it obvious? Jill is a WOMAN!

She's quirky but she's got that great, girl next door look. A match for Hank wouldn't be a supermodel or anything like that. She's the one.

They need to play up her human side more. The side that makes her want to make that hospital better for the common folk.

BTW, if you don't think she's a typical woman, Thursday's show where she tells Hank she needs to deal with her "husband" (not ex, not STBX -soon to be ex) is exactly what a crazy woman would do! :-) Like she said in an earlier episode, she's always going after the "bad boy."

Jill is boring and predictable. The writers really need to develop her character if they intend for her to stay with the show. They have made some progress with Hank's character. He doesn't seem quite as stiff as he was in the beginning. His delivery on some of his lines is still really flat though. If I hear him say "tell me what's going on" one more time without any feeling, I'll scream. He says it but he doesn't convince me that he really cares to learn the answer.

Dry and boring = Hank and Jill

Interesting and fun = Boris and Evan

Improving = Divya - she's getting much more likeable.

Jill is boring. The writers need to improve on her character, a whole lot. unsure.gif

I actually kinda like Jill. It gives Hank reason to stay in the hamptons. i don't think she should leave the show, but what would be cool to see is tha first gurl hank treated at borris's party return and make jill jealous. mayb the writers could work on improving the character of jill fir next season becasue she seems to b a reliable connection to keep hank involved in his past, his occupation in an actual hospital

Worse than boring, Jill's a little bit cruel. The introduction of smarmy Charlie Casey (is there anything likable about this character?) is casting bland Jill in a brand new light, and it isn't very flattering. Hapless, kindhearted Hank is kicked to the curb while Jill falls prey to the manipulations of an ethically challenged boor. You would think she was smarter. Even the casual viewer can see regrets coming a mile away. I hope the writers don't portray Hank as Jill's doormat, yo-yo, or even worse, the lovesick schoolboy.

Yeah, the actress is fine, but the writing for Jill is a little off. I can't put my finger on it, but they're not writing the character very well. I felt like her and Hank's breaking up was just for some obligatory angst. It's not working - oh, and neither is her husband. All in all, Divya is a much more interesting character, even if her not standing up to her parents is a bit tiresome.

I find Jill to be absolutely gorgeous.
I am sure many "Hampton Ladies" are gorgeous.
As a hospital Admin she is excellent. She has integrity and believes in doctors like Hank.
I think the relationship is awkward, by design. A different approach, sort of.
I saw Gary in a show with Ashley Williams, Good Morning Miami, she was very attractive also. So far 2 very impressive love interests cool.gif

I agree. She told Hank no once the he ask her again, she shot him down again. I like to see Hank Divya get to together. I do not know where it will go. unsure.gif

There's no chemistry between Hank and Jill or between Hank and Divya either. Even though Hank and Jill have slept together, the "spark" just isn't there. I don't know who is blame for that - Jill or Hank. Neither one of them have much charmisma. As far as chemistry or "sparks" are concerned, there is more between Evan and Divya than any other combination on the show. That could be because both Evan and Divya have personality and show emotion. You don't see any emotion coming from Hank or Jill. They are both so blah!

I don't mind the idea of Jill, I just don't like her. She is boring.
Let's find somebody else to give Hank a reason to stay in the Hamptons.
Wait a minute, who needs a reason to stay in the Hamptons?
billdawg1412
Yeah...since the second she was introduced she just didn't seem like someone I was rooting for. First of all, she's what 35 and the administrator of a hospital? Yeah...most 35 year olds are a few years from residency so doubt she would be in that position. I know it's just a show...but she just kind of makes me cringe. I think Jill should have been a little less "well my old boyfriend did this" and a little more um...interesting...hard to get. Granted I know the romance we are all supposed to be rooting for is the one between Evan Lawson CPA and Divya but could they at least try a smidge harder to make Jill a little less "available" and predictable? This is coming from a really huge fan of the show...please find Hank a love interest that doesn't make us want to change the channel and watch re-runs.
SND81
I agree wholeheartedly! Jill is the only thing that bothers me about this show. I see ZERO chemistry between her and Hank, and by herself she is painfully dull. I actually find her much more tolerable to watch when she is with Charlie. She is definitely necessary to keep around, because she is Hank's "in" for getting hospital favors... but he needs a love interest that can actually portray something that even remotely resembles wanting him, because Jill does NOT manage this at all!! I liked (someone else mentioned it, too) the "spark" between Hank and his fiancee in the first episode. They need to find someone with whom Hank can share that kind of passion (only who is not a money-grubbing snot!). I also don't think that Jill has the integrity that Hank is looking for. After all, how many times has she lied to him already, and/or done something unethical? Hank wouldn't do that!
scobra92
my sister and i dont like jill at all, initially we were neutral about her but as the show progressed she became more and more of a pain.
first of all they introduced her too soon in the plot, and it really bugs be how mad she'll get at hank about stupid things when they havent been defined as even being in a relationship yet... i mean if someone you are still getting to know started being so needy and rude in the first stages of a relationship RUN!

and yet hank is all "if you want to be w ur hubby thats great, but if you end up single you know where to find me"... thats just wrong how is he so into her? shes not very funny or interesting, they DO have intrests in common but she doesnt want to talk about them very much since she doesnt want work to mix w her love life... i get that shes attractive but plently of girls seem interested in him and im betting they arnt as flaky as her

hank needs to get her out of his life, i was actually hoping that jill would end up w her goofy looking husband just to get her out of hanks life

I can't agree with this. At first I did, but after thinking back to the first episode, yes it seem like they had chemistry, but when Hank went down, she ran away. He is better and worth more than that. No offense to the person, but the character wasn't too good. Instead of sticking by the man she was "so in love with and so ready to marry" she left him high and dry in his depress state. I love my fiancee with all my heart and wouldn't dare leave him if he went thru what Hank did first episode.

As far as Jill, I don't like her! (the character that is) I do think she is too boring, dry, and wishy washy. She does have that girl next door look, but when she is around Hank, she is the one that makes it look awkard. When she saw Hank with that girl in the finale, Amy was it, I'm glad she saw that, but Jill has too much baggage from (one) not being fully divorced and (two) leading him on and then bursting on him when it comes to the hospital.

"Jank" is a no go for me.

I do love Divya tho! she is goregous and brillant to me! I wouldn't be surprised if her and evan hit it off as much as they have that love hate relationship thing going on.

I'm just so mad we have to wait until next summer for new episodes. Who does that?? lol I'm totally addicted now!

JillxHank is the second worst television pair I have ever seen.

Jill is shallow and annoying. I love the show, but this pathetic romance "drama" really kills the goodness of the show.

Jill needs to disappear. Pronto.

Rikki,
Just out of curiosity, who was the worst?
lovely291
I believe Jill (and Hank) are the most boring characters on the show. The drama regarding Jill's husband is meant to liven up the show, but it just annoys the viewers. She's living with her almost ex-husband yet in the season finale she got all upset when she saw Hank talking to that girl.

The only reason I watch Royal Pains is because I think Evan is hilarious. You know a show is bad when the comic relief characters are the best on the show. I wonder how long this show is even going to last...

I'm not even looking forward to the next season. dry.gif
