Okay, now I know that it didn't happen in the time frame that I had talked about (forgot how busy the summer can be). But we can still do this thing!!!

Rules: It can be any form of art as long as it is Psych fanart. Nothing inappropriate , G-rated. =) those are the only rules. And it MUST be posted on THIS thread. I'm thinking it might also be good to have a title for your art.

Contest ends a month from now Sat. Sept. 12th.

We'll work out voting and all that later....

So start posting, spread the word about the contest, have fun and most importantly watch Psych!!!!

Sounds good. I saw someone posted their Shawn and Gus Southpark characters and it was fantastic. I gotta post it here. If I can find that person's post, I'll tell them to add it to this thread...it was great.

Too bad Halloween doesn't fall in that time period. Planning on doing some Psych-themed pumpkins this year. =)

Well, since I hate to color my sketches, there just black and white, unless you want them colored, then I could, but what I'm planning to do is take screen caps from the episodes, then "Photoshop them to look like my sketches, but that might be too difficult.

All I need to do is scan them into my many computers...

You can upload your pic to photobucket or imageshack and then plop it in here by using the insert image icon and there you go.

First question... is yours something already on your computer in some way... or do you need to scan it to get it into a computer format?

Second, is yours online somewhere? If not, I suggest opening a (free) photobucket account to upload it online.

Finally, once there is a link to the picture alone (if on photobucket, it will give you a "Direct link" address), then you can click on the little picture up in the posting toolbar (the one two to the right of the smiley drop-down)... if you hover over it it say "Insert image". Paste the direct link of the pic in there and it'll post it on the board. (Or, if you're familiar with tags, it's an IMG tag... Photobucket will also give you one of those, if you'd rather C&P that directly).

Nice nod to keeping the Excorcist look to the pic. And you got Gus in his Mr. Yang outfit. Great!! Keep drawing!!! You started early. I didn't start drawing until I was 10 years old.

these are awesome sklyer! so far my favorite of the 3 is tuesday the 17th.

Yeah, it's 'cause I wanted Shawn and Gus' 'Head to Shoulder' on the top of the picture, and I needed them looking concerned, so I just copied the shot of them getting to the girl's locker in "Yang" because it had the look I needed, also, the poster for Yang I did was supposed to be the Yin Yang sign from the girl's locker, but I didn't know how to draw the blood in black and white and make it look good, and the Tuesday the 17th pic was inspired by the shot at the end of the three of them standing at the edge of the lake.
I drew that young because I loved "The Nightmare Before Christmas" so I would always draw Jack Skellington, and I created many characters through my drawings. But yeah, I can draw a lot of Pixar characters and such, I just recently decided I knew how to draw Psych characters... I'll scan all of the drawings and make them look better, and smaller, I'll put up "Scary Sherry" and "Shawn (and Gus) of the Dead" later... when I scan them.

"Skyler", just two letters that's all, I don't blame you it's a weird name to spell... (My parents got it from the comic stip "Shoe")

Anyway, yeah, I'm not crazy about my drawing for "Tuesday th 17th", but it's pretty good, I like my drawins for "Shawn (and Gus) of the Dead" and "The Devil's in the Details... and the Upstairs Bedroom" and "An Evening With Mr. Yang"

Ok nothing I do seems to be working!!!thanks for your help thought BTC...anyway if anyone wants to see this you can try copy and pasting that into internet explorer and it might work...idk...if anyone has something else I can do lemme know cuz imageshack and photobucket arent working for this picture for some reason.

here's what you should do. take the picture and move it to ur desktop. this way it'll be easy to find.
go in to photobucket, make an account if u havent already,
and then click on the button that says "upload images and video"
once it loads, click on the picture so it comes up in a new page or window.
copy the link. it should end in .jpg
if it does, in the toolbar above where u type a message on here, there's a button two from the right of the smiley face menu. it looks like a pic of a sunset.
see it? past the link u copied into that popup message and press ok.

if you cant do that, put around the outside of the link.

see if that works.


if not, then post it somewhere like a blog or twitpic or facebook or something. give us the link and one of us can do it.

I don't necessarily want to enter these into the contest (since they're pretty standard Photoshop jobs), but I just wanted to show them.

Notice that Shawn's imagined speech is in a messy "handwritten" font, while Gus' font is a bit squarish and yet over the top - I wanted to reflect their personalities through fonts.

...I was going to submit a scanned version of that (versus a quickly-snapped-with-my-camera-phone version), but getting me + drawing + scanner in one room together before the weekend just did not happen.

And I still plan on doing my Psych cross-stitch, but just not for this contest. I keep hitting roadblocks with that, too.

okay here´s a picture i drew of Shawn a few months ago. If u´re wondering, that´s the picture from season 1 dvd. It may not look like him that much but it´s kinda one of the first pictures I drew of a human (otherwise I only drew cartoon pictures like The Simpsons).
