Hi I've been browsing for a while---It's all interesting--

I've seen several comments from different people that say they don't like Jill--or she's boring etc
One person said that they didn't think she was attractive--

Wow---i think she's beautiful---but doesn't overplay it---she comes across to me as being down to earth--

Maybe some people would say she was boring---but I think she has a lot going on inside--basically she doesn't want to get hurt again--

I know a lot of people like that--

What I do see is the chemistry between Hank and Jill---some people said they don't see it--

I have a whole bunch of friends that love Royal Pains and the romance of Hank and Jill--we call and talk after each show---so far I have
encouraged 17 people to watch the show---I know after they've seen it--they will be hooked--

I love the show---and the main characters---I like Evan but he can be annoying at times---
The scene when Hank and Jill started making love--and he barges right in---It doesn't even faze him what he was interuppting--
I thought that was a bit much--

Over all I love the show---and the romance of Hank and Jill---two people that are caught up in a very strong attraction that is
turning out to be so much more---they haven't got a clue yet---

I enjoy reading the posts of everyone

to me Royal Pains is the best show to hit TV in a long time--

No, you're not the only one who likes Jill, but most people prefer to complain than compliment, and getting folks to admit to liking Jill is akin to getting them to admit they liked the Bobbsey Twins as kids or prefer Will Turner over Jack Sparrow in the first POTC movie.

She's the "good girl/ingenue" that takes folks a while to warm up to because she's like most of us - down-to-earth with enough drama in our past and passion for our future to make us interesting - but in a four-person main cast, it's hard to reveal everyone's story quickly and not confuse the viewer. Especially when the centerpiece of each episode is NOT the ongoing personal dramas but the "MacGyver of the Day" event. The personal developments are usually revealed as subplots, and that's not a lot of time and space to develop fully four complete stories.

Not to mention that the writers are not only building the stories of Hank, Jill, Evan, and Divya, but weaving in Libby & Tucker as well as Boris. That's A LOT to cover in a short amount of time. I think they've done a bang-up job of it.

Jill is a keystone in the overall drama - she's the one who finally convinced Hank to stay in the Hampton's, and her decisions will be a driving point in what direction he takes at the end of the season. Remember her desire for the free clinic; I don't think that's dead, just dormant for awhile. She's exactly the kind of girl he needs, and he knows it; he's falling in love even while trying to respect her space and her profession.

Boris may be a good guy, but he has ulterior motives - something evident from the moment he stepped on screen in the pilot. (Watch not only how he observes Hank but how Dieter watches Boris. And that bar of gold wasn't just payment; it was enticement.) Boris is my favorite character, and (for me) the shows without him are weaker. Not to mention that watching Campbell Scott perform is a real joy. But it won't be Boris that Hank stays or goes for without some catalytic decision from Jill.

With Charlie's return, I think we're about to see Jill's story take off. We're heading into the home stretch with the first season, and I suspect this is the reason Jill's "drama" has taken a backseat until now (except for foreshadowing hints about Charlie that date back to the pilot). Katie started the ball rolling, but Charlie is going to bring things home.

I've voiced this in other threads, but I just don't think she is a very good actress.

I like Jill. I wish the writers had not brought back her husband. He will ruin the show.

Where have I seen the Charlie actor before? It's driving me nuts.

Actually, I think that this will be a good chance for Jill's character to develop. Plus I also think its a great plot twist that will make things even more "interesting" between Hank and Jill for a while. Can't wait to see what happens!

He is Bruno Campos, the Carver from Nip/Tuck.

Jill isn't my favorite character, but she's not my least favorite either. I think she definitely brings something to the show. I just think she needs to open up more, I think her & Hank's relationship would be better if she did. I do like her though, she's pretty good.
MissEllie
After watching the last episode, I like Jill's character even less than I did before . First she tells Hank they need to slow things down. Then she initiates sex with him in her office. Then she's all weird because things are different. Well, no kidding! She doesn't tell Hank that she's still married, although she refers to Charlie as her "ex". I'd dump her like a hot potato because she's sending mixed messages all over the place.

Plus, as I've stated before, I just think her acting is weak.

That's absolutely absurd. I really, really really, don't like Jill. The actress or the part. She's boring.
Oh, and I did like the Bobbsey Twins, and I did, and still do, prefer Jack Sparrow.
Of course, I prefer Jack Sparrow to almost everyone.
