Me: I was watching next week's preview for SVU, and it's wrong because Dani was in it, and she shouldn't be in it because that's season 8 and this is season 9 and the episode is supposed to be Savant because the summary in the tv guide is for savant. Please tell me it's wrong on your end.
Lady#1: (silence) I'll put you through to programming.
Me: (singing to the hold music cause it's awesome!)
Lady#2: Programming; DUMBHEAD2 speaking.
Me: Hi, I was just wondering if Thursday's episode of SVU is going to be Savant?
Lady#2: Let me just check.
Me: Ok!
Lady#2: Yeah, the listings are telling me it's Savant.
Me: But the add has Dani Beck in it and it's advertising Uncle from Season 8.
Lady#2: (silence) How did you know that?
Me: I'm crazy?
Lady#2: (silence) In any case, you're right, we just weren't sent any footage of next week's episode so we had to use what we could get.
Me: And you chose footage with Dani Beck?
Lady#2: We didn't think anyone would pick up on it.
Me: Hmmm.
Lady#2: (silence) You have keen eyes.
Me: It's called obsession. Thanks for you help.
Lady#2: You're welcome, enjoy the episode.
Me: I've already seen it, but thanks!

This is not from Stalked. It was from Slaves, the last season 1 episode, when Dr. Audrey Jackson was talking to all the detectives at SVU. That particular conversation was with Munch.

What episodes did Benson look at her mothers rape?

I know she did in "Florida". I know she did in an eppy in season one. I think It was in "Bad Blood", but I'm not 100% sure.

You are in fact correct. However the tapes are not the same in the different episodes. And on neither tape does it say that Serena was drunk at the time of her attack as Olivia states in Control.

OMG! I love TSOM so much more than SVU. LOL No matter what kind of day I've had, I can watch it and feel so much happier! It's always had that effect on me for as long as I can remember, and Julie Andrews is AMAZING! Sometimes I wish she was MY governess. LOL

Personally, I don't know about a remake though. IMO, They can't make it any better than they already have, but that's just IMO.

Since Eli was conceived the night of March 23rd according to Annihilated and then Kathy told Elliot in Screwed around May 16th, around what time would Kathy have discovered that she was pregnant?

Doesn't it really depend on a lot of factors? Like whether you miss your cycle, or maybe Kathy even experienced something physically/emotionally for each pregnancy that would have hinted that she was expecting. Normally, you find out like...6 weeks in or something. But this is from someone whose never been pregnant, so you might wanna get your answer from the mummy's on the board. LOL!

it never showed when Kathy found out she was pregnant. in my thoughts, probably in the afternoon after she came back from her doctor, lol. at the end of ‘Screwed’, Kathy just informed her husband Elliot that she’s pregnant and had asked him to come home. as we can see in ‘Alternate’, Elliot has done so and reconciled with his wife.

I know they didn't show Kathy finding out that she was pregnant- only telling Elliot that she was pregnant.

She had about a month and a half before telling Elliot that she was pregnant; mrslee perhaps she thought she could be going through menopause? I recall some TV shows like That 70's Show and Golden Girls where both Blanche and Kitty thought that they were pregnant but it turned out that they were having menopause. Maybe Kathy felt that she was getting menopause but instead was pregnant?

Well, menopause would have been a much better route to take. Lol! That's just my opinion anyway. Maybe she did think that and she went to the doctor to confirm it but got the pregnancy news instead?

Every woman is different and so is each pregnancy.
But generally you are fertile midway into your cycle which is about 4 weeks. So two weeks after conception, you should miss your period, which is the first hint that you are pregnant. There are other causes for your period to be late or you may not be that regular or you may still have a light period even id you are pregnant. Home pregnancy tests are not that accurate at this point, manufacturers' ads not withstanding. After that other symptoms may or may not occur. Not everybody gets morning sickness. But by the time she miss your second period, you should know enough to test whether you are pregnant.
Eli was Kathy's fourth pregnancy. So she may have thought she could be pregnant at the middle of April. She waited until she was sure to tell Elliot.
As to menopause, there is also no set of rules. The body follows its own internal clock. But for the majority of women, menopause occurs around 50. When Eli was conceived, Kathy was only 40. Without a family history of early menopause, there would be no reason for her to think that was what was happening to her.
I do agree the pregnancy was not the best route to take to get Elliot home. TPTB should have just let him go home to the woman he loves and the family he needs without that complication. And they should have shown us Kathy and Elliot working out their issues before he moved back home. But it's a done deal so we're stuck with it.

Okay I have some "Ghost" questions. Maybe I have asked them before, but I just rewatched that episode and everytime I watch it it bothers me. So I am sorry for the duplicate questions, if they are.

When Cragen and Skinner and Mitch Pileggi drive up to see Alex at her house, Where are they?!?!?! Wasn't she undercover in Wisconsin? Did they fly out there? I never get that scene.

Also, why, at the end when it's all over, doesn't Alex return to her life in New York? I love Casey - I prefer her to Alex, but I never understand why she doesn't return. I know she has a "new life" in Wisconsin, but seriously, she said she really didn't like it. So was it just that Stephanie March wanted out of the show? And even if that were so, they could have explained it a little better I think.

They probably flew there (to Wisconsin) and rented a car to get to her house...

About Alex, putting her back in WP gives her a reason not to come back to the show after her assassin was put into jail...Normally, if I am not mistaken and Hisgirl can correct me if I am wrong, but people aren't taken care of for the rest of their lives once they are put in WP...

They are not taken care of when put into WP? What? I think I misunderstood that. I'm saying though, if the reason that she was put into WP in the first place has been resolved, wouldn't she be allowed to return back to her normal life? I don't really understand all the ins and outs of WP. Maybe that's why I never understand the end of that episode.

I know hisgirl explained WP once and I can't remember where...I thought I read somewhere that they aren't in WP for very long...IDK.....

Alex went back into the WP but then left it when Stephanie March reprise her role in Conviction but the show was cancelled too soon before it was explained why Alex left WP.

I think Stephanie wanted to do other acting roles- she was in Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Brad and Angelina (big whoop couple ) and I guess being Mrs. Bobby Flay helps fill up her schedule as well.

But anyway, I saw a picture of Jayne Mansfield with John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr back in 1965 and I knew that the Beatles really loved the film, The Girl Can't Help It that came out around 1956 when they were teens and loved Elvis, just when the rock thing started and they even showed a clip of it on the Beatles Anthology series. Plus, Jayne's A&E biography caught on and it grew from there and it expanded of course to Mariska.

Reality: Stephanie March came back for a guest appearance on SVU. She didn't want to return permanently.
SVU Storylines: Alex was placed in Federal Witness Protection after the attempt on her life in Loss. In order to be eligible, the witness must essential to the prosecution of a Federal criminal case involved and at risk of being killed. I have always questioned whether Alex met the first requirement. But it's a done deal so we accept it.
Alex was taken and put under wraps but she didn't testify against anyone until Ghost. If the Marshalls still want her to testify against someone else in the drug cartel/murder case, they need to stash her again until the Feds are ready to go to trial. And her life is still at risk. A contract was put out on her life. Unless there is evidence that it has been withdrawn, somebody is going to try to kill Alex again. Liam Conners's future isn't looking real bright either.
Even if Alex is done testifying, the next step in Witness Protection is to establish a new identity for the protected witness. That's when the new identity is created. And the witness is expected to become self sufficient in that life. They are not allowed to contact former friends or associates. They are not allowed to return to the place they were removed from. Once they are in place and settled, there is only government contact once a year or if they move. If there is a viable threat made, they they will be relocated again.
Alex could choose to opt out of the program. She could go back to New York and being a persecutor. But she would be setting herself up as a target if she did, unless there wa evidence that the drug cartel wasn't interested in her anymore.
Three is also the question of Antonio. The attempted murder trial was in New York court. Antonio wasn't a witness in a Federal case. He is not eligible for the Federal Witness Protection Program. The only reasons I can think of for the Marshalls to take him into the program was for Alex to ask for him to go with her, or the writers screwed up.

I was hoping that TIIC had come to their senses and decided that she was not right for the show, but I will certainly settle for March's decision to leave. Stephani March was great on SVU but she left because she wanted to explore her career. TPTB would have kept her because she is a great actress and brought great talent to the show. Though I do have to say I like Casey a lot better then Alex. It has nothing to do with the talent of the actors but the differences the two brought to the table. Stephani was more...well she was mean on the show. LOL! Diane Neal is more of a softy but can be tough when the occasion calls for it. Her character has a past that can allow for more drama. Alex wasn't so dramatic, IMO that is.

Um, I have no idea what Alex ever did to you, but ok.

Please do not turn this into another argument. That's the last thing this board needs.

And I guess you would certainly be an authority on that.

Has there ever been a character you don't like? And if we addressed the hatred for characters that never did anything to anyone, we'd need a separate board just for Dani (not to open that floodgate, but I just wanted to make a point).

I think it's fair game to allow DeanOlivia to dislike Alex- considering the fact that yeah, Dani was hated by most and yet, so is Kathy for some reason, strange or not.

Inconceivable was #197. Undercover will be #198 if the current schedule remains. So #200 will be two episodes after that. I have not found anything on the remaining four episodes for season 9.

Isn't Reluctance next? Or is it similar to Undercover?
