Does anyone have a clue on how she used lotion and dental floss to remove Mary's engagement ring from Marshal's finger. Tried to look at the scene again on DVR and cannot determine what she did to remove the ring. Has anyone done this before?

The idea is to use the dental floss wrapped around the swollen part of the finger to compress it and make it easier for the ring to slide off. As she unwinds the floss, it brings the ring with it.
