Since a great many of the "Psych" fans are shippers, I decided to make a thread dedicated to every ship! Basically, just tell us who you like as a couple and why. Then we can all discuss it. Be nice. It's just for fun. I'd love to see everyone's ideas!

I cast my vote for the only "ship" on the show that is actually scripted. The only "ship" that we know will never end...the ONE TRUE "SHIP" that lets us know all is right with the world...

Shoy - because Shawn could hang with a sister, he gets serious props...no doubt
Shabigal - because I instantly liked their chemistry on Murder Anyone...Anyone...Bueller
Lassie and his Gun - because I dig that glock poppin, Black T wearin', TimmyO.


Now there are a few silly ones I have:

Shapple - Shawn and the beloved Pinapple
Giffer or Geller - Gus and his super sniffer or smeller (they interchange the terms)
SSUD - Shawn and his Swirly Uber Doo (boy do I miss that swirl...it looked like a soft-serve vanilla yogurt on top of his head. LOL!

LOL, I don't think it's a huge secret that I'm a Shassie girl. Though, I'll admit I don't ever expect to see it in the show, nor do I think I'd want to really--but it makes the little moments (like the "lovers" line in Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing) fun.

I'm also a Shabigail fan... she's so cute and is perfect for Shawn (like Abigail saying "I like that, I like that *very* much" which is a classic Shawn line). I'll be honest, that kind of relationship can go one of two ways though--everything works out perfectly because they are so alike and best friends/soulmates, or eventually the similarities become grating (like Abigail saying "I like that, I like that *very* much" which is a classic Shawn line) and the differences become blown out of proportion. Since I know with Shabigail it won't be choice A, I'm still think it would be fun while it lasted.

I do think one of the biggest obstacles in Shawn having a relationship has to do with the "psychic" thing. It comes to trust between two people. Probably why I have trouble with Shules, because she *believes* he is psychic (or so Maggie said at ComicCon), how can they ever have a trusting relationship when everything she knows/believes about him is based on a lie?

At least with Shassie, Lassiter has never believed, so it's a matter of Shawn 'coming clean' for the relationship to work. (Someone recently had a great fic about what Lassiter would do if he found out Shawn wasn't psychic... now who was that? J/K TexasArtChick).

Oh, I also do find Gules kinda cute. They both have the geeky thing established in "Shawn vs. the Red Phantom".

And, yes, Lassie and his Glock are the perfect match made in heaven.

You have a very good point there! Lassie and his guns will never be parted. And they shouldn't be!

I don't think it's any great secret that I, too, am a Shassie shipper. But like Winky said, I really wouldn't want it to actually happen on the show. Shassie is all about the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) moments between the two characters.

As for a pairing that I would want to happen, Shabigail. Those two are adorable! I know we already know (ha!) it won't work out in the end, but I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy the ride.

One word: Gawn

Sure, I love Shules. But it'll never happen. She's very aptly named. She is his Juliet. For them to actually get together, would spell the end not only for the show, but them. I say it's the unattainable love that keeps them wanting each other. Once they've attained it, it's not a challenge anymore. And he's not mature enough for the relationship she'd be needing and deserving. Gules is just so much a better fit. *Mmm ménage à trois*

He's mature enough to give her the kind of stability she's looking for, yet childish enough to give her what she loves about Shawn.

And as for Gawn? Well that's just too obvious for words. And that scene in Gus Walks into a Bank... so sweet. True love, man. Even if it's a brotherly love, you know what they say: Incest is best, relatively speaking. (And come ON, those two are just SOOO kawaii together. And in general, just so sexy.)

Lassie/Glock? I thought that was a given. Though it does make him out to be an objectophile....

But if we're going on that note:

Gus/Michael Jackson references.

My only ship is Lassiet (Lassiter/Juliet).

Although Lassie/his gun and Shawn/pineapples are good ones as well. xD

Actually I think the better term is "GICK". The way it sounds when you pronounce it tells you all you need to know about my feelings on that pairing.

I've always loved Shules but if it were to go in a different direction, i would prefer the Gules for the same reasons you have

Too true. I'd believe Gassie before I believe Gick - or Gief, which doesn't even make sense. Her NAME isn't Chief. It'd be Gick or Garen... And it's so beyond wrong.

How about Lassie/Vick's sis? Or Gassie? I think Gus and Lassie would work better. For a couple of reasons....

One: He's less likely to KILL Gus. Sorry Shassie fans, but if there's anything to Shassie, it's Shawn unrequitted to Lassie. Lassie is too annoyed by him.

Two: (Don't take this the wrong way, I LOVE Lassie!) Lassie's got to big a stick up his ass... He'd need Gus' ... girth... to actually feel the difference. Shawn's too small for him. *cough* Ahem. Yes, well... it had to be said.

Three: Shawn's not mature enough for a real relationship with ANYONE, it's why he can't have a steady relationship with anyone, not even Jules *sigh* Unless he grows up a LOT, which would ruin the show.... he's not getting serious with anyone.

Other than fanfiction-wise.

Here's a different idea. Remember the woman from He Love Me, He Loves Me Not who ran the speed dating? She would be GREAT with Lassiter. She is kinda kookie and would contrast with his personality well. I thought even in that brief moment of interaction there was a fun chemistry. I say they should bring her back...she wasn't even named so I can't blend the names.

I agree! I'm a big Shassie fan. I love Lassie and he does need someone. Shawn could show him the fun side of life. He is kinda rubbing off on him, throughout the seasons...anyone notice that?

Gules is a great couple. They're both sweet and smart- they deserve each other. ^__^

Count me as another fan of Shawn/Lassiter.

Yeah, I also know it won't happen in the show, and don't want it to, either. But all the little suggestive things in the show are fun to point and giggle at. I also have a general fondness for straight-laced types ending up with wilder, more unpredictable types. (I also ship Jack/Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean, but that's neither here nor there.)

And I definitely have to agree with the love of Lassiter/gun. I felt so bad for him in "Expedition British Columbia" when he was without his beloved glock.

As for human relationships we could realistically see in the show... I think I'm currently rooting on Shawn and Abigail. I know it won't work out in the end, but I do think they're cute together right now. And I kinda like seeing Shawn struggling to suppress his feelings for Jules while he's in this other relationship.

For those of you who are a fan of Shassie, there will be some of it in the script I'm currently writing.
