I just watched the two movies Maggie Lawson (Juliet) stars in that has aired on LMN "Killer Hair" and "Hostile Makeover." I haven't seen them before because I don't have access to LMN all the time and so haven't been able to watch them. I liked them a lot, they were charming, funny, a little romance thrown in, and although not the most suspenseful but certainly enjoyable. The character Maggie Lawson played was Lacy Smithsonian a fashion news reporter/crime solver. In the movies you get Maggie's voice as the character giving fashion tips. Lacy Smithsonian was a little Juliet like at least the way Juliet started getting in season 3 and the other woman characters also could fight the murderer a little and that is refreshing to see some women who can take care of themselves. I was wondering what other Psych fans thought of these two movies. If you haven't seen them I think you should check them out. They are certainly not a waste of time not at least for me that is. IMO

i am a huge huge maggie lawson fan, and thanks to having comcast cable, i have the lifetime movie network. I actually saw Killer Hair when it premiered, and I absolutely loved it. True, the whole plot has the feel of (duh) a mystery romance novel... meaning a lot of things are very predictable and cliche, but Maggie makes it worth while. personally, its great for me to be able to see her in a strong leading role. true on psych you could say she is one of the leads, but its not the same. and my best friend and i agreed, its nice to see maggie in something other than those boring pantsuits! (jules..lol) I saw Hostile Makeover on demand actually, because I was out of town for the premiere. (check, i think both movies should still be available complimentary for those who have on demand) and HM was just as good as KH. Really for me, the most fun is just seeing all of the great clothes and shoes that are worn, and then also getting to see Maggie take charge. Because Juliet and Lacey really aren't that different. they are both detectives, they just do things a bit differently. (and dress differently!) So i would definitely recommend seeing both movies.
Like i said, both KH and HM were available at some point On Demand, but if not, I know that you can watch both online at LMN.tv

Thanks for responding to my post LivStrong. I have comcast digital cable with on demand and watched both movies even though my tier of comcast digital doesn't have LMN. I stay occasionally at my sisters house and watch it there. I didn't mind that the movies were kind cliche and Maggie Lawson made it original being a fashion reporter. This was the first time I have seen Maggie Lawson in a role other than Juliet in Psych and it was refreshing to see her looking so beautiful and feminine in the clothes makeup and hair and still able to take care of herself. I also liked Mary McDonnell in HM. She is a very good actress and looked beautiful too. The part that I especially loved was the end of HM when Lacey's sister Cherice high kicked the killer and Lacey's mother followed up with a punch sending him down the stairs. If you don't mind me asking what tier of comcast digital cable do you need to watch LMN? IMO
