I want to know how many people in total have we all converted to watching Psych...

2 from my family and I thought I was converting my co-workers and high school/college buddies but most of them are closet Psych-Os. I'm finding their pics on the Psych Facebook page even though they don't mention anything on their own facebook page.

I have tried very hard to convert my friends but now they just get annoyed whenever I mention Psych. I don't know if I "converted" my family but I was the person who saw the previews and wanted to watch it back in 2006. My mom also does daycare at our house and I have watched it so much in front of them that some of the kids will ask to watch it and sing along with the theme song. I don't know if that counts either. I know for SURE that I have converted at least 1 person. So if you count everything I said then I have converted around 7 people, maybe.

So far 3 definates 1 maybe and I'm throwing a psych night August 22nd for the 50th ep (As I live in Australia I will have the episode by around 2pm that day midnight New York time) to encourage people that I know will love it but have yet to see it I am also having a spot the pineapple for that episode the winner gets a psych pineapple stress toy. I am also showing Shawn V Red Phantom American Duo's and Bounty Hunters before so they get a feel for the show

I have Converted 1 of my Friends a lil bit so far, the other just shaking their Heads over me because i tend to talk a lot about Psych! The most of my Fam and Friends dont get the Awesomeness of Psych and wonders whats up with me

My best friend and her older sister, and my one friend saw it on vacation w/ me and liked it alot, but I don't think she's seen it since then cause I don't think she gets USA. And my whole family started watching it at the same time, but I sort of started it. Plus my cousin, he watched it a couple times with us. So all in all, 8-ish (and 1 failed attempt)

Let's see... over half my family on my mom's side, about 21 people. That's the beauty about throwing a huge family gathering on a day when it happens to rain (regardless of what the weatherman said), and you're all stuck inside with absolutely nothing to do. But that's also including my immediate family.

And then like, 3 people over the Internet.

And 2 friends.

So about 26 people (which wouldn't have even been possible without the rain... thank you, Lord=D)

you guys are like really good at getting people none of my friends really want to watch it i have gotten one and we are now both die hards we really want to go to vancouver and white rock to stalk them out. I tried with my parents but they like the mentalist better but im still working on my friends i think if i obsessively talk about it it will catch on, hopefully

I just went onto my Facebook page and found out that my cousin is officially a fellow Psych-o...he joined their fan page there!!!

so on friday i sent a mass message to like, 30 people on facebook. some were relatives, some were friends who i know have seen psych before, some were friends that havent, and some were like, schoolmates or aquaintances who send me spam stuff too so i didnt mind . (lol)

out of all of them, my 2nd cousin replied saying she was gonna DVR the premiere and she was about to go watch the pilot! YAY!
i need to check to see how she liked it but that message mightve converted others too!

but i converted both of the boys i watched this summer and they showed the show to 3 of their friends. idk if the friends will keep watching but they did all say they liked it.

and pretty much any of my friends who have ever seen it know about it cuz of me.
same with my parents, brother and his fiance. i keep talking about how awesome it was in the 1st season and they started liking it too.

i dont have an official count, but i do my part to get people to watch!

So 11 people ... it's really sad. I have a theory though.

I obsess over Psych all the time, so my friends got so sick of the show even though they had never seen it, just cause I talked about it so much. So when I tried to get them to watch it, they refused because they already knew every quote from every episode from me talking about it so much. Tough luck for me. It's their loss.

I've converted most of my family...not counting my sister and my future in laws...they're next!!!! *evil laugh* MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

Was just watching He Dead on my lap top and the bf was sitting beside me pretending to be busy on his laptop. But I could sooooo hear him giggle and chuckle about Ponzie. He wouldn't admit it but I think he likes the show! Yay!

i just lent my season 1 dvds to my friend's mom (and my mom's friend)
she always watches monk and im like, psych is better! you should watch psych also! so she agreed to watch the first 3 episodes or so and she'll keep watching if she likes it.

on the downside, i now dont have my season 1 dvds. hahaha.

I'm a fairly recent convert myself, so I'm not sure I can say I've really ever converted anyone.

Though, I have two or three local friends who have watched enough to know who the characters are, and now when I go to my parents' house on Friday nights (to bum internet so I can chat with my friend in Boston while we watch Psych), my two nephews are all excited to watch the show with me, and my parents watch, too. =D

my 2 friends, one of their mother's, my teachers where all like "what are they talking about" when we were in class, so i think that's at least one more

3 In the works...my cousins. They live in Hong Kong but they always come to the US in the summer and when they were here in July I got them to watch all of the episodes that USA had available at the time and they loved it (especially Tuesday the 17th...classic ) so hopefully they'll be quoting by next year.


But my mom, dad and 3 brothers all watch it and my aunt knows who Shawn and Gus are.

so when the premiere came out, i spammed like, 30 friends on facebook to go watch it. one of my 2nd cousins said she'd tape it and watch the pilot. well, today she just sent me this message:

I've been watching psych straight for like a week. In no particular order, just random episodes strewn about. And i just found out that Tim Curry guest starred in an episode. As he is my Hero, Psych officially wins in my book

one of my friends finally agreed to watch w/ me (after an entire yr of me bugging her abt it and talking abt it in front of her to purposely confuse her so that she would watch and then be less confused haha)!!! im very excited b/c we have the same taste in tv, movies and music (but not books, she really doesnt like the great gatsby, which i love... duh see quotes below lol..wierd!) so i know she's gonna love it! yay

o and tvspaz, i must agree w/ ur cousin, tim curry is amazing!

Jenna : HAHA! yes! psych is amazing. so you like it then? im pretty much in love with the guy who plays shawn. (james roday)

Julia : Yes yes it is quite enjoyable. This probably makes me seem very, very strange, but so far my favorite character is Lassiter haha. I think he's hillarious.

Jenna : did u ever see "the luck of the irish" from the disney channel? cuz he's the evil leprochaun. when i started watching, it took me like, a year for me to see him as lassiter. hahah!! so i feel like that has a part in why i dont like him as much. but he is pretty cool otherwise.

Julia : No joke, as I'm watching the first episode, I'm thinking to myself "hmmm, why am I picturing Lassiter as a leprechaun. No, wait, an EVIL leprechaun..." and eventually I remembered he was from that crap Disney Channel movie which I adored, so then I liked him even more

Jenna : it was on again last st.patricks day. now i see the leprchaun as lassiter. it flipped. lol. oh, and in an episode, he references leprochauns and i laughed. alot.

Julia : hahahhahaaa. i must go find that episode right away!

and can i just say that i love fb? cuz she lives on long island so even when i was in NJ i never saw her. but we always got along so well. i like the random conversations i have with her!

Well, after showing my mom the "coccyx" scene, she's agreed to watch this Friday's episode! That's a start. I've never seen her laugh so hard... ever.

My sister has been on-and-off for awhile. This year she's totally on, though. We're all looking forward to Friday's episode together!

I got my brother hooked on it last year, but he's too cool to stay in on a Friday night this year to watch it with me. I DVR it, but he's always somewhere. I think when it hits winter (the second set of episodes), he'll start watching it again.

And, there's no chance of getting my Dad hooked. Just not his thing and personally, I wouldn't want him to invade my Psych party!

I got my future brother in law to see it for the first time tonight!!!! I put on "High Top Fade Out" from On Demand and he said he liked it and, since he works Fridays, will DVR it!!!

2 Family - my brother who does everything I do anyway, and my mom who was intrigued by Sulu being in Shawn vs. the Red Phantom (lil strategy on my part, lol) and hooked by the 'close talking' scene in Bounty Hunters.

2 Friend - it's the third show I've converted my BF to, I'm either highly persuasive or she's highly impressionable, and her husband who never really had a choice in the matter. lol!

Today my trig teacher brought up something about the Metalist and I (not thinking) immediatedly shouted "Psych is better!!" and everyone kinda looked at me and he's like "What?" and I told him what it was and that he should definitely watch it and he said he would! I told him he would like it...I think he will cause he's one of those crazy funny awesome kinda people so I hope he is true to his word and checks it out!

Everyone in my family except my mother is now just addicted to Psych as I am. I have no idea how many of my friends watch it now. I talk about and quote it constantly, but I don't know how many of them will openly admit to having succumed to it's influence yet.
