I don't mean to be a forum Nazi, here, but can people please actually read thread topics before creating new posts? I don't know how many Evan bashing threads there are anymore, along with a few Evan complimenting threads, complaint threads about medical discrepancies, at least three threads pertaining questions to the music in just the most recent episode - and those were all on just the first page. If you click through the pages, you'll see even more hate-on-Evan threads and love-Evan threads, more medical complaints, quite a few threads about Tucker, more on music, etc, etc. Our forum will stay much cleaner and easier to follow if we keep similar topics in the same thread.

In case you haven't seen it, here's a video on forum etiquette (contains some vulgar language):

Posting And You

It's concerning a different forum, but the same rules apply!

Thank You!

*bump*

if you look at the people who are posting, it seems like people join just to say something so most of these people are new. we should probably make a general thread for the most popular topics. but i dont know how long they would last on the first page. lol

Hi all smile.gif I’m one of the mods on the Burn Notice forum & was wondering if you want some help getting the RP forum organized a bit more? There are probably 2 main ways I can help I think:

1. By pinning a main navigation thread at the top of the forum: Like our Cliff Notes thread at the BN forum, it's pinned at the the top & lets everyone know how to navigate the forum & where to find the main threads -- would you like something like the Cliff Notes set up here?

2. Merging duplicate threads: As mentioned, there are so many threads on music questions, for example, so a Master Music thread can be created for everyone to post questions & answers in, and, if you wanted, the many older posts on music questions can be merged into it (chronological order by date posted), or not. Don’t worry, no posts would be deleted – they would just be moved, just merging alike topics together. Other possible master threads could be: Fashion/accessories questions, and anything else you suggest.

Since ya’ll post here, it’s up to you how you’d like things, so just let me know if you like any of these suggestions, or make your own suggestions on forum organization by posting here or feel free to send me a pm (private message). Yay for Thursday nights! smile.gif

Merging threads would definitely be a good idea. I've been on other forums that have done that successfully and it really helped to clean things up. Once that's done, it's just a matter of people paying enough attention to keep their topics in the appropriate threads...or perhaps until more people on this forum "get it," there should be one person at the ready to shift new threads into their proper place as soon as people post them!

Hello to blackwolfjk13 and a tip of the forum hat to NatashaFatale as all of us "strangers" in RP-land approach the end of Season 1! Our meandering all over the topics since June 4th was annoying, yet a bit of deja vu, right? As almost a "newbie", I am thrilled that we will have the chance do it all again when USA sees fit to film S2. Have been intrigued with how closely viewers watch every nuance and detail, so it follows that we will need Cliff Notes for RP, just like BN. (music, wardrobe, medical questions, character development, etc!) If Natasha has the interest and time to wade through all our stuff, "merging threads would be a (great) idea".

In the meantime, some like me, will jump into Psych and White Collar and trrrryyyy to do right by the forums--you've led by example and we hope not to let you down! PS: is there anyone at USA who reads any of the posts? Thanks for your help.......crpf cool.gif

I do!!! I saw this thread and thought that I would just take a look to see if anyone else posted the same thing that I was going to. If yes, then I would post it in that thread, if not, then I would make my own so as not to confuse anyone.

Seriously!?! I thought I was nerd enough for even writing a post, but now you are Forum Monitor? Get a life, I think... blink.gif

Not Hall Monitor - mod - as in M-o-d-e-r-a-t-o-r. Someone's got to keep the spam out, don't they?

Actually BN is my life & I like it smile.gif

Ps-Thanks to all for your feedback & input! I've posted the Cliff notes thread & will starting merging threads now that I have more time with BN on break til 2010 sad.gif

ps again - to answer your question carolinaRPfan about: is there anyone at USA who reads any of the posts?
You mean aside from Admin or moderators? I'm not sure, but I would like to think that hopefully some of the RP production people or crew might read the forum just to get an idea of fan reaction, but who knows wink.gif We are lucky enough on the Burn Notice forum to have the actual show creator & the writers make posts & share info with us, but I think that's a rare thing smile.gif

I know the show creators for Psych read the boards - they pull questions from the fans right off the threads and will talk about the posts in interviews and such. I would like to think the same goes for all the USA original shows, because the network really does seem to care about what the fans think.
