I was watching the commentary on the season three dvd and noticed that the commentary is recorded very low and was very difficult to hear. Are there plans to remedy this? Can I change the sound settings myself? Are you going to re-release the commentaries? I'm very upset since the commentaries are my favorite part of the dvds

I noticed that as well. I tweeted the USA Network. They said that that weren't aware of sound problems and that I should exchange it because it must be a bad DVD. But I don't think so. Sorry.

my dvd commentaries were fine. it was the podcasts that i had to turn up a little bit... and there was some weird feedback with those, like in the background. but otherwise the normal commentaries were fine for me.

I noticed that about the first ten minutes of Ghosts was a little tricky to hear, and there was some feedback on the podcast ones, but if you turned up the volume you could hear it okay.

the only time I noticed it was on the 'Ghosts' commentary so far...I just turned up the volume and it was alright. I haven't listened to any of the podcast commentary yet though....

The only commentary that i had a problem with was Ghosts. i had to keep turning the volume up and then down again when it would get louder.

I thought it was just me! I am a part time sound engineer, so I tend to be picky about sound. Ghosts was definately hard to hear and not mixed well. I accidently hit the audio menu on my dvd remote while the episode was playing and it got a little better in parts.

The commentaries get better after "Ghosts", although the amount of people doing the commentating is kind of ridiculous on some. It makes it hard to understand when they are all talking at once. But, I did love hearing Tim and Maggie on the commentary and hope they do more!!

Not only that, but the podcast for a couple of them are actually off on the timing. And I think one or two of the audio commentaries. I KNOW the one with Saldana was wrong, like four seconds or so slow, and a number of them were a second or two fast on it. We'd hear the comment, before we even see what's being commented on. I especially noticed that with the 'two second black' bits, and the name reading during the credits.

And I agree, as much as I loved the fact they were actually talking (the one with just Saldana and his assistant was riddled with blank spots, and since it - unlike the audio commentaries - didn't re-amplify the audio track when the overspeaking was silent... it was too much dead air). But the bad part is I suffer from a Shawn sized attention-span. So I kept having to rewind the disc to catch something I missed on the ones with too many people.

But I DO concur, Maggie and Tim MUST do more commentaries and extras. The show just wouldn't be even a fraction as cool without them! And neither are the extra features.
