So how long do we have to wait for Lauren Mary's " Sister" to come back? I don't think she planted the bug and I really don't think that Dad was listening.

There's no way that plotline is going to be left unfinished - at least I hope not! It doesn't have to be this season, but it will have to have a few things answered down the line.

I think by process of elimination, it had to be Mary's dad that bugged them - clearly there's far more to the story than the family knew, and it makes me wonder if Old Man Shannon is kind of a spook.

mary said that she never tried to find her dad. he should be easy to locate if he's a regular ol joe right? so even if she didnt want to find him, what about her mom and sister? they dont know how to use the yellow pages either?

not to mention that he got a deal that enabled him to avoid prison. cons make deals all the time in exchange for testimony. so even if her dad turned on his buddy and got a sweet deal, why would he stop contacting his family? i mean he'd do whatever lil time (if any) he got for testifying and go home like every other ex-con.

also why would he need to send secret letters to mary and the friend he testified against if he wasn't in the program himself? who is he hiding from? why would he get in trouble for writing his daughter?

so my guess is that he's in the program himself (which would be a horrible plot twist by writers with no imagination) or he's a post-op transexual.

It would be nice to see her again. I wonder too about the Rabbi that offered Mary his card since he specializes in "finding people." Who do you think would be a good actor to play Mary's dad if they ever decide to show more than just an old picture of him or even do a flashback or something?
