I am a fan of ALL of the Law & Order series' (except TBJ) especially CI, not so much SVU and the original, but still fans, anyways, I was thinking and thought that it'd be SO freaking awesome if there was like a 2 hour episode where CI and SVU teamed up or something. =D
soccermanic
yea i would really like to c that but it would be kinda weird because during on of the shows on the marathon one of the suspects is also a lawyer on SVU, but i could put that aside and still enjoy a crossover.
Ryu
Yeah. I just noticed that as well. But I could definetly put it aside for a crossover.
Nasha
Yes, I want to see Munch,Fin, and Goren (D'nofero's char, correct? Im semi new to CI) together.

I think it would be one of those "and hilarity ensues..." type of thing.
psychochik
I agree, the three of them would be fun to watch, but ya gotta have Eames there too, cuz she would knock each of them down a notch and I would laugh the whole way.
soccermanic
i would luv to c Goren and Munch together, i bet it would be hilarious
Monique
Great insight, Andie.
snickj17107
That would be a great epi to watch!

Gah! My poor heart couldn't stand up to all that cuteness! I'd have to tape it and watch ten minutes at a time.
soccermanic
lol
elliotfan
i for one would love to see dr huang and goren try to analyze each other
psychochik
Now, that would be classin and probably too intense to watch in one sitting. LoL
soccermanic

omg, that would be so funny and interesting, they should really do that.
JulieJane
I thought of this a lot because it seems like the original Law and Order and SVU have had several cross overs. How come they don't involve CI more with the rest of the Law and order group?!!

Just here to chat about what everyone wants to see in the future epsiodes in LOCI?
Personally I want to see a love intrest for Bobby since they've been going into the personal lives of characters more..
g_ejustworks
Wow....good topic!

I agree with you on that, Bobby was too tightly wound for a long while. But most will argue with you on that part MSartistics. Alot of people are adamant about moving away from personal story lines as they think its parallel's SVU(which most CI people seem to hate SVU but I enjoy it) too closely but I disagree. G&E are likable characters and as a viewer I want an insight to their personal lives to see why certain things make them tick at work.

I also want to see Eames in a vulnerable position just once, let Erbe get to flex those acting chops like in Oz. And I know when Jo Gage held her in that basement it was a traumatic experience for her, but I'm talking about in a different way. Like if her sister was really sick, almost close to death, I'd like to see how it'd affect her work, and how her interactions/relationship with Bobby would change, and/or get better and bring them closer after a long period of mistrust between them.

I personally love how Eames is a venerable rock, how easily she bounced back from her capture and how she grounds Bobby when he flies off the handle. She is my favorite female detective in the franchise, and I'd hate to see her with anyone but Bobby since they compliment each others skills well. In other words: MORE EAMES SCREEN TIME, MORE EAMES STORYLINES.
I will say Lady's Man was a nice touch.

And of course the last in my wishlist as I've said in another thread: another In the Wee Hours episode arc involving Wheeler and my new fave Nichols. Please let that one come true!

I'd like to see more of Doc Rogers. As in the
cable show "Dr. G, Medical Examiner." I like
seeing her out in the field more, because
I want to see more of her character. But
I lose my "suspencion of disbelief" when I
see the ME out in the field. It's a conflict.
I'd like to have the detectives in a lather over
how the victim was dispatched and have
her say something like "he'd be alive right
now if he'd gotten that boil checked out" wink.gif

Ditto on all counts! Bobby is recovering and stronger now; it's time to find out more about the other half of this pair.

As far as the love interest for Bobby--he already has one. Did I mention I wanted to see more Eames? wink.gif

Don't hop up and down, non-shippers, I didn't say I want to see them crazy kissy-faced on screen. I like seeing how they interact and how the relationship is changing.

And yes, we shippers know they love each other.
::runs and hides::
Anchoress
Even non-shippers know they love each other. What form that love takes, and how (or if) it is acted upon is another story.

I'd like to see more Eames, too, both through a continuation of her recently more active role in investigations (this season has been more like the first few in that she's more equal - for a couple of seasons it seemed like all she did was nod, frowning, while Goren talked) and getting more screentime for her back-story and current life.

I'd also like to see more of the black humour (and regular humour) of previous seasons. I realise though that an important soundingboard for their humour was Deakins, and it's a bit tougher to squeeze it out without him there.

Back to Eames, I'd like to see more of an opportunity to show vulnerability in a non-traditional way. Even though I agree a BIT with the people who complain (regarding Lady's Man) that it's a bit of a cop-out for the focus of attention on a female character's personal life to be on something romantic or sexual, I LOVED how the awkward parts of Lady's Man forced Eames to come face to face with the more fragile elements of her personality (her own pride, her own privateness, the way she herself compartmentalises her life, her need to feel like a hero to Goren, etc), and I loved the way it made her more human and less of a paragon. What I mean by non-traditional way (which I think they've done well so far), is that the exposure of her vulnerability not be through the old saws of peril or angst.

My goodness you summed it up about Eames better than I tried to! I totally agree with the black humour, I missssss that element so much. It's been coming back, mainly in exchanges between N&W which makes me smile, but I'd love to see those effortless sometimes sarcastic one liners flow back out of G&E's mouths. And your completely right Anchoress, Deakins did supply the humourous ammunition, as Ross is pretty stern and case focused almost all of the time with G&E. Although he is strangely more loose and comfortable with N&W, am I the only to notice that? He treats Nichols with greater respect.

And about Lady's Man, I see no cop-out! Eames had a brief affair(they didn't even have sex)with Mulrooney only because of her loneliness and anguish after her husband's death, what woman or man wouldn't want someone to confide in after an ordeal like that? Obviously if Bobby would have been in her life then, she probably would have had nothing to do with Mulrooney. Lady's Man did make her seem more human and your right the AWKWARDNESS, the awkwardness did have me watching each scene between her and Bobby with bated breath when it became apparent the suspect came from Eames' past(I especially liked how she yelled at Bobby and he calmly let it roll off his back, he paused and backed off a little before further questioning. His approach was gentle and it showed how well they respect each other and each others ticks).

Honestly I don't see the CI writers pairing up G&E romantically although its an alluring thought, imagine the increase in tension and the influx of emotions between them if they did. And Eames is a mostly aloof person so I would enjoy seeing her in a relationship separate from work.

Bobby to meet a woman as a love interest, not Eames, maybe me LOL, no long term relationship! More action in scenes, a few more excitement with profiling and intense on the edge of your seat, like Nicole Wallace, but create a new person, a woman, who can get to Bobby as Nicole did, maybe more electrifying!!

Okay I can't shut up about this topic! So many perceptive answers!
As much as I like the idea of a G&E pairing in the romance area, I think I like a outside woman, especially a polar opposite of Eames would be cool to watch.

I for one think there will NEVER EVER be another like Nicole Wallace. Every scene between her and Bobby was some of the greatest tv had to offer. She was electrifying in her delivery of socipathic idioms that just can never, for me, be matched on CI again. I don't think any criminal can totally morph Bobby's face into a exposed, wounded creation or slip into his mind and confuse and tantalize the darker hidden parts of him like Nicole could. I wish they never would have done away with her character.

I hope they write in a character almost as competent as Nicole Wallace for maybe..Eames to do psychological battle with, because we all know Eames probably has picked up things from Bobby over time(Silver Lining, Eames worked Sheila's head over fantastically). I know she'd be prepared for it.

CharleneSVU
Okay starting with Goren and Eames: It's been 8 seasons now and we have yet to see Goren/Eames share a relationship, I'm not saying lovey-dubby but something along the lines of that like Goren and Eames going to dinner or a movie or something. (But what do that have to do with solving crime...?) But I do think that G/E could be a little closer. And that we see more from Eames than what she has done in the season premieres and finales. (Season 5 premiere Goren and Nicole Wallace, season 5 G/E finale Goren and burned churches. Season 6 premiere Eames kidnapped, season 6 G/E finale Goren's bio-father and mother dies, Season 7 premiere Eames realated in cop shooting case, season 7 finale Goren's brother and Nicole Wallace die by Declan Gage, season 8 premiere, no drama to me. Season 8 Finale ???? and Lady's Man was good too)

Now Nichols and Wheeler: No problems to me, they get along nicely. And in the end of a couple of episodes Nichols is kinda flirty with Wheeler. Though I'd like to see if we can learn more about Nichols and his parents or other relatives. And see more of his piano-playing skills.

Capt Ross: ? Why has he never been PERSONALLY involved in a case?

I hope that we get a new season and another two-part episode like "In The Wee Small Hours" I love how Goren/Eames and Logan/Barek come together as one team, I hear rumors of an episode like that in the rumored next season. I'd like to see Goren and Nichols (along with Eames and Wheeler) in the same episode. If Alicia Witt, Det. Nola Fallaci (or anyone else) isn't coming back to replace Nicholson, Wheeler for the begining of the season. Hopefully they've already taped new episdoes or are starting too.

I have two questions that I wish someone could find out or answer, and I hope they happen.

1) Will there be a season 9?

2) Can we expect another two-part combined team episode like "In The Wee Small Hours"? (I hope so)

OMG! I forgot Wheeler's pregnant! Bring back Falacci! I lurved her sharp-tongued intellect so much! She was my Goren/Nichols/Munch amalgamation(in my head).
And I'm glad to see another bid for an new ITWSH's episode!

Oh and Nicole dying by Gage's hand was bittersweet for me. But that line was classic:"Tell Bobby he was the only man I ever really loved." I wondered how that made Bobby feel?

1)I'm pretty sure L&O CI will make it to season 9, its had a popularity resurgence and great praise since Goldblum joined.

2)Everyone's been spreading the rumor about another ITWSH's episode with the new detectives, we'll have to cross our fingers and hope!

Okay, I'll stop.

What a good idea for a thread....what would I like to see.
I liked Bobby's friend Lewis, just even seeing Eames pick him up from Lewis's..would be good, Goren outside work and the fact she kknows where he is would be a good start.
Or vice versa
Goren going to pick her up from the Gym or knowing she's gone running..and where she runs.

That sort of easy friendship would be good I think, for the series.

A touch of reassurance by either to the other or a conversation that revolves around a case, that gives a little insight into them as a partnership.

Wow...I forgot about Lewis, why didn't they keep him as a reacurring character? He was like all three of the lone gunmen wrapped into one, and he was nerdy-cute.
"Detective Alex!"
"Down Boy."

Those where such delightful exchanges that put smiles on G&E's faces. I miss that. Thanks Kazz for bringing up Lewis!
Bring back Lewis!

more Eames, please.

MissBunny998
Bobby should meet a woman (FBI, DOCTOR, CSI, FORENSIC SCIENTIST) that is very smart and frustrates the hell out of him, making him realize he's masochistic.
Eames needs an admirer , who's much younger, that follows her around like a love struck puppy...maybe a new jr detective, or ME assistant or cyber-crimes/csi??

Which can also make for great one liners as they tease each other and shoot each other discreet smiles.

I agree with more Eames and add to that more snark. This show needs to find it's way back to having the occasional humorous moment.
I also agree that Goren needs a girlfriend, someone intelligent, a professional of some sort. This may sound odd coming from an admitted shipper, but a girlfriend could make a great catalyst for conflict between G/E. Ms. Goren-girlfriend doesn't have to hang around long. Just long enough to make Eames and Goren finally confront their true feelings for each other. Sounds soapy, I know. But if done right, it doesn't have to be.

I agree with ya'll I do want to see more of Eames. I really liked that they showed a more vunerable side to her in "Blind Spot" insted of dumping all of the drama on Bobby. I would defenatly like to see more of that.

Hmm... lets see. I would also like to see how N&W partnership progresses and see more insight on Nicholes' character.

I miss Eames' snarks. I hope they return. Seems Wheeler is getting the snarky type lines that Eames was famous for. Not that I begrudge Wheeler, I like her too but Eames is the Queen of Snark. I also would love to see all 4 detectives working a case a la ITWSH.
Addicted2CI
I would love to see more of Bobby's "niece"...or not necessarily. Just him having more positive relationships? I mean we've seen his life torn apart, it'd be nice to see even more evidence that he does have something else worth living for other than work or Eames....

I know that they wanted to send that message with the whole niece thing...but more scenes like that wouldn't hurt happy.gif

This is in addition to my earlier post....I still really would love to see a truly tender moment between Eames and Goren where he actually lets her embrace him or vice versa. I don't see why not it doesn't have to mean anything outside of being purely platonic....

I hope 6 things happen next season.

1) We have a season nine (noone has said we won't)
2) Bobby and Eames simply embrace (not romantic) as well as get the old Eames and Wheeler back.
3) Learn more about Zach Nichols
4) Hope they let Captain Ross get PERSONALLY involved in a case.
5) Hope Nicole Wallace isn't dead for good.
6) And PRAY we get another two-part "In The Wee Small Hours" episode.

And an addition, hope the MySpace rumors about Dick Wolf creating another "Law & Order" spinoff in LA are TRUE!

1. We definatly need a season nine. (and ten, eleven, etc...)
2. Even though I'm pro BxA, some nice little fluff would be nice.
3. Yea I do want to see a progression in his character. I want his parents to show up in an episode just to see what would happen.
4. We'll see how that one goes.. I want Ross to loosen up a bit, he's to tence.
5.God yes. i hope so. But How would've she pulled off the whole "heart in the box" thing?
6.That would be great! I would love to see all four detectives work together and see what G/E think of Nichols.

I guess another L&O would be ok. But I love CI to much and I think if they brought in another L&O, USA would focus less on Criminal Intent. What would they do with the new series? Theme wise? I mean they have SVU and CI then just the original L&O.

1-5 YEAH!

6. Yeah especially for another two-part episode like "In The Wee Small Hours" Eames will have worked with Wheeler (Renewal, s6) and with Nichols (The remaining N/W episodes). But Goren hasn't!

About the rumor of the new Law & Order series, people on a YouTube fan video I was watching were saying Dick Wolf is trying to make a comback because the originial "Law & Order" has been on for almost 20 years even (If L&O has a season 21; Septemeber 1990, September 2010). Rumored to be around Los Angeles, I hope the rumors are true though. I loved all the L&O series my favs are SVU and CI (TBJ was okay until Orbach passed, and L&O was okay until Martin left). I can't sit still thinking about what if we get a new L&O series! EEEE!

This a good topic and I had several ideas...

*Bobby should meet a young woman, who's a excellent profiler and she can appear alot in season 9 helping B/A with some crimes. During that time, she has feelings for Bobby. However Alex has a weird feeling she can't be trusted and she tries to investigate her past. This woman who is a great profiler has a dark past involving the disappearance of a young girl 14 years ago, and Alex tries to bring it to light.

*Bobby's former girlfriend that he never spoken to in years return and is in a central part of a case he and Alex are investigating. The woman has a 17 year old son and uknown to Bobby he is the real father.

*Capt. Ross's sons get into serious trouble, and Ross half to put his career on the line to save them.

*What about Alex's mom?

*How about a case involving a gang and Eames unknowingly shoots at a undercover crooked cop, who later dies. She is then being investigated from Internal Affairs about what happened and uncover more secrets the IAB are hiding from the detectives and espeically Alex.

*A Goren/Nichols episode? What about a Goren/Wheeler episode?

*The sudden return of Nicole Wallace and this time hurting Bobby the most either his unexpected son or putting things together to frame his partner Eames during that crooked cop investigation with the IAB.

smile.gif That's a good idea. I've actually got somebody in my head (that I made up) that would be perfect for the job. smile.gif

These are all good ideas, but that one's sorta been done before, Logan shot an undercover and he died. That was when Barreck was still with Logan. That may explain why you don't remeber it, you slept right through it. wink.gif

I agree with more Eames, Rodgers, and humor. However, I don't wish to see either Goren or Eames in a romantic relationship. If you subract time for commercials our favorite detectives only have 43 minutes to solve the case their working on. Adding elements of romantic relationships would cut into "crime solving" time and my favorite show would become every other show on television I no longer watch. (Besides, rating usually plummet after the long antisipation of two stars hooking up is realized)
I would love to see a cross over episode invoving G/E and N/W. I would also really love for Deakins and Carver to come back for an episode-maybe Deakins is murdered and G/E have to solve the crime-Carver makes an apperance prosecuting the case. Also I want another "white whale" giving the detectives trouble, but a man this time, a serial killer type who's handsome, charming and scary at the same time.
