Yes you heard me...fever! (phone was too slow to pull up the surgery thread). Anyway it started tonight, and hasn't gone down much over the last hour. Its at 101.4 right now. If its not better in the morning...I have to call the doctor. I hope they don't put me back in the hospital,

When I worked at the jail, we had a regular in there every weekend for a Public Intox charge. His addiction was gasoline. He'd drink it get drunk/high (whatever it does), and end up in jail. He eventually died from it. Last year I believe. I don't know how long he'd been drinking it though to do enough damage that eventually killed him.

Thanks (about the staples)! I feel so much better!! I even slept 5 straight hours last night! Got up took my meds again, went to potty, and went back to bed, and slept another 3 straight hours. I was pretty excited!!

That's good news. Are you getting around any better?

Not really. Been having some really bad hip pain. I'm moving around more, and slowly, but it hurts. And I'm sure it will for a while.

Edited to add: Hubby suprised me with a "get well soon" present!!! A 2009 Chevy Silverado extended cab Z60. It has 10 miles on it!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

You haven't ridden in one lately. The '10s are a complete change. But then again I've never been impressed with a Chevy and that goes back to when I owned 'em.

Mich-I rode in a dodge last summer (2008) when some friends of ours bought one. It was brand new, and I wasn't impressed. Which is why we bought the Chevy last fall. Then we traded it in (after a year) and bought a 4WD. Still rides just as good as 2WD. The dodge just seemed uncomfortable, and little rough. But that's me.

Yeah, that's why I said 2010s. They completely redid the suspension. I don't think the 2008s ride any different than my 97. For many years we were forced to buy our suspension from Germany because of Daimler. Actually we were forced to buy alot of crap from them. No more!

Ah okay. Gotcha. I already had a Chevy so we just stuck with the Chevy. We didn't really get out and browse a whole lot. We got a pretty good deal on this one. It's (I think I already mentioned) a Z60 with some upgrades, and it's a limited edition oklahoma package (whatever that means). I personally like the 4WD and dual climate control. lol

So It's been a "bad" day. My back hasn't hurt, but it gets really tight and uncomfortable. Spasms I assume. Sometimes I'll get little jerks in there that just make me arch my back and hurts (spasms--again I assume). Today I've had some sharp pains shooting into my hip. Which has been said it's nerves reconnecting. **sigh** I'm just ready to heal and be over this mess. I'm 3 weeks post-op, and still doing better than most people as mobility is concerned. Some think I'm doing too much. Sometimes I don't think I'm doing enough. I hate feeling helpless.

Ok...you guys can have the box back. Got to finish my Cream of Wheat, and then wait on Dr. House to come on.

I haven't been on much today. I'm paying for my little outing adventure yesterday. I was bored at home so I drove myself (in my brand new truck--2wks post op) to town and ran erronds, pick the kids up from school...all that jazz. About 4 hours in town.

So today I've done nothing but sleep.....and hurt. It's amazing how little it takes to exhaust me. Plus cold weather moved in, and that has me aching like no tomorrow. **sigh**

I'm so ready to heal.

IM SO EXCITED TO SEE JACKSON GIBBS TONIGHT!! I THINK ITS SO CUTE THAT GIBBS HAS A FATHER!! and I think that Mark Harmon is soo damn hawwwt for an old man. I would do anything just to know him!! I would do anything to be able to know DiNozzo also.. he is FIIIINE!! and they are all so hilarious I dont know what I would do if this show stops or if they get a different team. What are we going to do? ill cry if they make up some bull crap about Gibbs and he retires for good this time.. what are we going to do? I hate that this is fake I would love it if I could have a father figure like Gibbs I wish I was Abby!!

The episode where Gibbs goes home was last nite. I don't recall him being in tonite's episode on CBS, although I could be wrong.

Ohhhhh the back.

Healing is slow. But getting there. I have a lot of tightness, but I think it's scar tissue. For the last week I've had pain in my tailbone area (where the fracture was) and it shoots pains into my left rear end, and into my hip. But the hip is mainly taking the heat. Yesterday I hurt so bad I couldn't even walk without dang near in tears. The doctor's office FINALLY refilled my pain script. So today it seems better, but I have my 6 week post op check up today. So we'll see what he says.

They are really getting on my nerves. I'm 6 weeks out of surgery...3 week out they cut my pain med intake in half. But the overall pain hasnt been too bad until this hip thing. And then getting them to refill is was like pulling teeth. I told my hubby I'm so tired of being treated like I'm an addict...and I'm not. I mean seriously....gagging everytime I try to swallow a pill is not the highlight of my day. But I guess they have to be strict BECAUSE of the addicts ruining it for everyone else. *sigh* I'll eventually get better and eventually get off the meds PERIOD!!! And I can't wait!!

I think the hip flared up big time Tuesday when I had to drive all the way over to school to enroll. I'm only taking 7 hours this semester (the music people didn't like it because I'm not going FT, but they can kiss my extended-surgically altered butt crack). Then when I checked on a temporary handicap parking sticker (so I wouldn't have to walk the 4 blocks to get to my building), they sent me to 3 different people in 3 different buildings. I was like could you please JUST CALL. I just had surgery and walking is still difficult. They're like...no ma'am because there's papers you will need to fill out. I finally find the right person and low and behold....I didn't need any papers. I just have to bring a note from my doctor. So needless to say, by the time I got back to the truck I couldn't hardly even step up in it.

So, there's my mini novel update. Will let you guys know how the doctor appointment goes.

I've seen every episode at least once, most of them MANY times. I usually even catch the preview for the next episode, but mainly that there will be a next episode preview - that means a new one.

Doctor's appointment! I forgot!! Things went good. The end. LOL

Nothing major. I can lift 15-20lbs now (instead of 10), I'm wearing just the outer shell of my brace (without the hard plastic), the treatment was cut wayyyyy down (because it hurt me--and he didn't understand why because you're not supposed to feel anything), I have stretching exercises to do now, and hubby is supposed to massage my back every night to help the muscles from being stiff (no lie--and he doesn't believe me--LOL). So other than that...check up in 2 months and school next month.

Don't feel bad. I didn't believe it when my wife said it either.
