Thanks for sharing this. I think the Psych cast/crew are just amazing and it is no surprise to me that they would participate in such an amazing gift as doing Make-A-Wish. I am really glad this young girl was able to have her wish come true--and such a great wish.

Now that's awesome. Glad the baby got her wish...my goodness...very cool.

Yes, I sure do. Although Lassiter is *obviously* my favorite character, he just isn't "Lassie" without Shawn pestering him. Lassiter without Shawn is...well...Lassiter. But add a certain pseudo-psychic into the mix and *presto* - that's entertainment! Likewise, Shawn needs the Lassiter "straight man" to be as funny as he is. That's why I love this show, every character, even Buzz and Chief Vick, is a necessary ingredient to the recipe that gives this show it's unique flavor.

Yes, I've got one in progress now. The first two chapters are in beta right now, and I will finish chapter 3, and possibly 4 tonight. This fic will be a long one, about 12 chapters long. It's also a response to the "Shawn has a stalker" challenge on PsychFic, and takes place after my first two stories.

First off, Shawn AS a stalker, sounds AWESOME. lol, poor Lassie. (Who'd you think he'd stalk, Jules? Nah, he respects her too much for THAT. He'd just try to creep out poor lil Lassie.)

I have six I'm trying to work on, my my mojo-jojo and my juju-magumbo are out to lunch lately... I think they're snacking on my juju beans. *Sigh* None of the songs I've picked lately have come to fruition. Maybe you can spark an idea. bah. I had one AWESOME one, but it started speaking spanish and I blanked, 'cause I don't speak spanish. (Give me Just One Night - 98 Degrees. I'm fine with the 'uno noche', makes sense logistically. But there's a chick who starts singing in spanish and it totally blanks me.)

Then I had a couple that I just couldnt get the right vibe for it down. And one just is REALLY sad... As in pitiful. If you EVER do get the computer software (Might I suggest getting windows movie maker, it comes with XP and higher OSes), don't, and I mean DON'T try an instrumental piece. There's a reason the word mental is in it... makes you that way. *sigh*

So, what are your ideas?

Okay, so I DO have an idea... for a music video I mean. Does anybody know any good scenes of Shawn with a kid? I can't think of any, it has to be a male kid, though. Or at least some other series/movie/clip where he's dealing with a little boy? In a fatherly way. I have the perfect song, and most of the scenes I want to use, but I need that one bit.

Ooh, wait... you can make videos with Movie Maker? Because I tried that, but I couldn't figure out how to get the songs I wanted onto it.

Anyway, I had one idea for a Shules vid (yes, I'm a fan, and proud of it), to the song 'Beating My Heart' by Jon McLaughlin. The song just made me think of Psych one day as I was listening to it. It's got a nice, almost cutesy beat to it.

And then I had an idea for a Shawn and Henry father/son vid to 'Second Chance' by Shinedown. I automatically thought of them the first time I heard this song, especially the chorus.

I also had an idea for a Jules-centric video to 'Anthem' by Superchick. I just love Jules (she's awesome=D), and I thought this song kind of showed the way she turned out to be a tough detective.

And I heard the song 'I Gotta Feeling' by the Black-Eyed Peas on the radio the other day, and it reminded me of Psych, just from it's bounciness=) It would probably make a nice video.

Meh, these aren't the best ideas in the world. I keep forgetting some of my better ideas that I had. But I will post them as soon as I remember them=)

Actually that's a really good choice for a Shawn/Henry video. But if you really want to do a fanvid on Shawn/Henry angst, you should use "Dad" by Queensryche off of their "Promised Land" album. The song is about the lead singer's strained relationship with his father.

I'll get the songs tomorrow, it's too late today. But then I'll work on them. I thnk I have the Jon McLaughlin one, I have a bunch of his songs (I LOVE So Close), so I might be able to start that one today.

As for Movie Maker, yeah, just import media, the songs and the videos you want to use. Then drag them onto the timeline. You can even do transitions, like fading or shatter (the first clip explodes into a bunch of pieces and the other scene is underneath. Or a ton of other choices. Just drag and drop it onto the timeline (make sure you're in timeline mode, rather than storyboard.

Even if those songs reinvigorate my mojo-jojo AND my juju-magumbo... I still hope you do some, and I'd love to see your take on it, compared to mine. That's the fun of it, so many different takes on something, with the same media, same song and same video clips.

Good song, though. I like it, and it would make a great Psych vid.

And I also agree, 'White and Nerdy' is hilarious.... there's so much potential in Psych for a bunch of great fan vids=) As well as fanfiction, but I've never ventured into writing that before.

I used to write fanfiction... AGES Ago. But then I got into Roleplay. It spoiled me so badly. Lol. I mean, it's a great way to hone your writing skills, and the fact you get instant feedback is awesome!! You write one bit (it varies, depending on the people, and the storyline, and just what the scene calls for) then they write their bit back. Usually you pick a character, and play that one, and the other person plays another... and you can do it in a group, or just switch off who you play, as the storyline requires.

But I find it fun to play with many people, sort of like being the character, interacting with all the people in the fandom (Like when I RP Psych, I'm usually Shawn or Gus, and it's fun to play with other people playing Jules or Lassie or any of the many other characters.)

And I'm looking forward to seeing some of your vids. If you would like, I can give you my IM (I have YIM,AIM, and MSN) and we can RP, it's a good step up into fanfiction writing. As I said, I just got spoilt.

I roleplay a bit, but I've never roleplayed Psych or anything not my own creation before. Usually I just roleplay a bit of fantasy or whatnot, because I write original fiction, and it helps.

However, roleplaying Psych sounds fascinating=)

I don't really IM, though, 'cause I don't have a YIM or AIM or MSN.

I love that song! And thank goodness, I'm not the only one who thought of Henry and Shawn when I heard it.
