Well, I have to say that the previews haven't lied this year. The Shipper Chatter is going to crack me up with this one. They show someone looking at a picture that is obviously Eames' wedding picture, but it was so fast, I couldn't make out the groom. So, who ever she had a relationship with might have known Joe, or maybe was a friend in their group. Or, which I hope I am wrong about his, she cheated on Joe. That would make Bobby curious enough to ask if she slept with who ever it is. I am officially going on the record as a staunch non-shipper and stating that I believe his asking the question has nothing to do with any possible inkling of romantic feelings he has for her.

I'm new here. I'm not a real shipper, (well sort of I am for my own selfish purposes - I have a major crush on Erbe and would love to see some kind of action, some day, w/Goren preferably so my girlfriend can be happy too, LOL).
That question has no business being asked by someone who really knows the person they're asking, IMO. I agree with posts above about the misdirection that is often done in the previews, but if Goren is indeed asking Eames if she slept with someone, that tells me that they haven't, you know, "done it" yet. Probably.
Well holy crap, this week is going to be a tough one.

It's possible, what with the 'reconciling with her sister' thing, but I kinda doubt she slept with her brother in law. Or to look at it a different way, I doubt she'd give Goren enough of a hint that she did that he'd ask her straight out about it. They don't usually talk about their personal lives, and I really doubt either of them would pry about something that personal.
I think it's gotta be someone involved with the case they're investigating - maybe the character described in the casting call as a former cop turned security guard to the main guest character? Maybe he knew her and Joe back in the day.

No effect! No effect! I don't want their relationship to change,
it is perfect the way it is! I hate change, I hate something different from the status quo, especially when these two are concerned.
I am also disappointed that Eames's backstory would include a possible ex-lover. There's a lot of a person's past that does not include their sex life (though sometimes not a whole lot) and it always always feels like a cop-out when it goes that direction on television, and when it happens to a woman it seems very sexist to me. I'm not looking forward to this episode.

I can't wait til next Sunday to see what happens, I've been wanting an episode with Eames having a more personal story. I love Bobby, but he's had all the interesting storylines lately and our girl needs to shine. I'm not going to speculate on the burning question Bobby asks Eames, because I know Eames character is to moral to do anything nasty like have an affair. Besides, Bobby wouldn't ask just to be nosey it must have something important to do with the case or Bobby's questioning Eames judgement about the man in question.

It's like you've been eavesdropping in my house today! This is all I've been hearing since last night. I knew the instant that line was uttered in the previews that it was going to be trouble, trouble and more trouble. I've been trying to come up with every possible positive outcome (and failing miserably) to tell the g.f. about what could come out of Eames' mouth that would make this all okay. Unless it's something along the lines of "well Bobby, it was before I met you", my diehard shipper girl is going to be miserable. I'm holding out hope that USA is doing a cut and paste to grab viewers, and Goren isn't even asking Eames, but someone else entirely. Pathetic, I know, but it's all I've got.

Best G/E episode of the season,IMO, followed by a preview clip featuring a very personal question from one detective to another. I've commented on the absence of personal dialogue between these detectives this season, as I miss the humorous one-liners and slight personal references from other seasons. I don't recall instances where these detectives have even said each others names this season.
It will be interesting in the scope of the case G/E are working in Lady's Man , if this dialogue comes off as natural or odd between 2 people that have so far this season mostly exchanged case related information.

I really would like to see this preview for " Ladys Man" but so far the USA site is only showing the preview for N/W , the 2 minute replay of " Family Values " is finally up but still no episode synopsis. Can a moderator please ask someone from USA to show the preview, I notice that on the main page in the desription of next Sundays 2 shows they have only a picture of Goldbloom not Vince, Kate or Julianne. It's too bad they messed with the episodes this season, this was supposed to have been the last show with Goren and Eames, it would have been a great ending for them, for the season or if the show is cancelled ( or Vince leaves and is replaced by Goldbloom). That is not such a farfetched notion, many others have stated there doubts about Vince leaving and Goldbloom taking over the lead, possibly with Kate as his partner, ( could explain why she will fill in on the last 2 episodes with him, he could have worked alone, or had his former partner Ross help him out, God knows he has been out of his office and into the field a lot this season) Julliane could stay with a new partner or leave and a new younger team take the B team slot. Many possibilities, hope I'm wrong but until USA makes its announcement about the future of the show I guess we all have to wait and wonder if there is a major change coming. I leave when Vincent leaves ( I know he has been quoted saying he's not going anywhere, but the decisions on shows don't always rest with the people in front of the camera, behind the scenes many plans are made and choices decided by the powers that be, for good or bad). The show will not be the same without him, so I hope if he is replaced that it was his decision not a deal made behind his back, he deserves better than that after 8 years.

I too remember reading someplace that Eames would be partnering up with JG for a couple of episodes but it entirely had to do with Wheeler's pregnancy leave.
I can't see this show getting rid of D'Onofrio ever. He's really the hugest star they've had. Especially this particular branch of the franchise. The whole 'half season' thing was for his benefit. But if they did decide for some stupid reason to write Goren out, I've got to think they'd have a lot of build up for it, milk it for all it's worth.

I totally agree with you. "Family Values" was the best episode this season. Goren & Eames were totally in sync as a team. Ross showed Goren respect and deferred to his obvious knowledge of this particualr type of crime/criminal.
Its about time that Bobby & Alex started communicating on a more personal level. It isn't wrong for him to ask her if she had a sexual relationshil with a perp or victim. That knowledge may be vital in solving the case. My guess is that the victim had Eames' wedding photo in his place because he had unrequited love for her. Maybe he didn't know that she was a widow?

(idiomatic) 1. A man who attracts women and enjoys their company.

Here is another synopsis of the episode probably this is either TV Guide's or USA's full description.
"A notorious murderer is murdered himself, leaving Goren and Eames to determine whether his freedom-by-technicality and resultant fame had anything to do with the motive, and how his birthday as his murder date ties into everything."
And about that Eames replacing Wheeler, it's true. Major Case and Revolution are the last N/W episodes that Eames will replace Wheeler while she is on maternity leave.

We don't even know where that shot of someone looking at the wedding photo is from. It's a woman holding it. Could be Eames (don't really remember her wearing nail polish) but it could be anywhere. It could be on her bureau at home, at her sister's house...... Previews lie

I don't ever remember Eames wearing nail polish either, but then again, doesn't mean that she doesn't. Bobby was even wearing cuff links for a while which I thought was strange for him. I see the man in the picture also is wearing a wedding ring.....hmmmmm
