Has anyone noticed that whenever a snobby rich guy is needed they haul out poor Andrew McCarthy? Not quite a modern day Gatsby but he has aged well. You can almost see the family resemblance to Tucker if you stretch hard to the right. I'm enjoying Royal Pains immensely and am waiting for the "Spend the Weekend in the Hamptons" sweepstakes. I'm black, disabled, female and poor so if I win at least four major grumpy groups will be taken care of. Now if only I could stop just saying "awww" everytime Tucker and Libby are on screen. Then again I made so much noise during Evan's ballerina cooking scene that hubby came in the room to see what was going on. Keep up the excellent work USA. If I can't have Starter Wife back Royal Pain is definitely the next best thing. My money is on Boris taking the boys with him to winter in Europe. Could happen.

Andrew is not always a snobby rich guy... my only example (in which he isnt rich, and is a guest star) is in a Monk episode (just something i know). he IS snobby in that episode, but he is not all that rich
and a good luck 2 u in the sweepstakes

Yes, good luck to you and I totally agree; the Evan dance scene was priceless. Totally enjoyed it

I think it's sooo funny that Andrew McCarthy played in my favorite movie, Pretty in Pink (I've seen it over 30 times lol) & now he plays in one of my favorite shows. I wonder if he's going to be a recurring character?

I remember Tucker's Dad from CLASS of course this was before he was LESS THAN ZERO!
I don't know if you are a Monk fan or not, but Andrew was on Monk as an English Teacher who killed his girlfriend. Yes Andrew is a very bad man!

I don't see the "snobby rich guy connection" (yeah, he's played some, but not that many), but I am liking him a lot in this series. I hope he "recurs" often. I like Tucker, too... smart kid.

Yes, Tucker is a smart kid and so is his girlfriend Libby. She's a walking encyclopedia!

Blaine aka Andrew McCarthy, blew off Molly Ringwald at prom. Clay in "Less Than Zero".
Enough of his past characters... we all have seen him in his movies and TV Shows. He is starring in 4 movies:
Snatched (2010) (filming) .... Frank Baum
The National Tree (2009) (TV) (post-production) .... Corey Burdock (this is a TV show/series)
Camp Hope (2009) (post-production) .... Michael
Main Street (2009) (post-production) .... Howard Mercer
I love him as Tucker's Dad! I hope we will get to see him next summer!

WOW! Glad to see that Andrew is working. Since the economy "sucks" so bad, I worry so much about all these actors, singers and other over paid entertainers losing their Billion Dollar Estates. I just hate the thought that some of these folks have had to cut back to only 2 beach homes and 3 Jets! The world can be so cruel when you are rich and famous!
