We'll be recording video interviews with Psych's writers/producers very soon, and we'd like them to answer a few questions that you, the fans, have about the show. So if there are any burning questions that you want answered, post them here! We also hope to pose a couple of questions to James Roday and Dulé Hill, so if you have a question for either of them, post those as well (please say which of them your question is for).
Important: Include your first name and your location with your question!

Hello my name is Edina I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina
It seems that I'm first
I tried to make up question that would be interesting and unique but only I could think out is what is maiden name of your mother

just kidding
Ok now serious questions
For writers: will there be more interesting details from the past of characters and can we expect more Gus's wives maybe Mira isn't the only one

Question for Dulé: will you scream like girl in new season and where did you learn it ? I think that even girls don't scream like that

Question for writers: Are you planning to make more serious episodes like Mr. Yang? Please don't I really didn't like Mr. Yang

Question for James is: did someone special give you necklace that you always wear or is it just for decoration because all fans are discussing about it so please tell us.
question for all: How does it feel to know that you are doing something that will make thousand of people round the world happy and that your brilliant acting and writing will bring smiles on their face? It must be awesome!
Producers: Will you please give Jason Berger a raise?

I'm Liz from Pennsylvania.
This question could be for the writers or James, it doesn't really matter: What do they plan to do with Shawn's relationships between Juliet and Abigail?
And this question is for James and Dulé: How will their characters grow this season?
And thanks for letting us ask questions!
edit: I also want to know what's up with James's necklace

I'm Jenna from... New Jersey (I hate saying i'm from Georgia since i've only lived here 3 years)
First, I disagree with Dinchy: I loved the finale!
but I also agree with her because I also want to know about that necklace!
Producers: Will you please give Jason Berger a raise?
Question for the Writers: What's the hardest part about writing an episode?
For James or Dulé: What's something you want to do on the show that you haven't done yet? (ie: solve a certain type of case, have some sort of stunt, etc)
I'm terrible at asking questions. they're in my head but i can never put them in to words. hahah

oh wow... let's see
my name is Shannon and i'm in Colorado
(which btw - cracked me up in Meat is Murder when Uncle Burton says CSU and Shawn says- Colorado State University?)
my questions -
Not that i ever want the show to end but - realistically how long do you think you can keep this show going?
Shawn and Gus are in their -what- 30's now? how much longer can Shawn continue to keep up the psychic act before he get's bored with it or before everyone at the station finally starts to clue in?
Or how much longer can Gus and Shawn maintain the level of friendship that they have before one of them inevitably "grows up" and get's married or something like that?
will we ever get to meet Chief Vick's baby's daddy...Mr. Vick? or maybe Buzz's wife and kid? i know they are only the "supporting" characters but trust me us fans love them almost as much as we love Shawn and Gus
will Lassie ever find happiness?
why don't we ever see Shawn riding his bike anymore?
whatever happened to Winky Cutto?
and when can we expect to hear Tim Omundson on a commentary track?!?!

OH - and i too would like to know what's up with the ball chain necklace that James ALWAYS wears...
i think that's it...for now

I'm Winky Cutto from Frog'R'Us

Hmm... no, that's not good enough? Okay, I'm Sara from Nebraska/Tennessee.
For anyone: Will Winky Cutto (the frog) ever be brought back? (The fans all want him back!)
For the writers: Has the "DreamBoard" ever unintentionally spawned any episode ideas? Which episodes?
For the writers: Do you write the pineapples into the script or do they get put in at a later time?
For the producers: What's one runner that you wish you could eliminate from the show, but the writers persist with?
For Andy Berman: Have you managed to get "I've eaten waffles twice in places you've never even been" into an episode yet? If not, are you still trying?
For the producers: Any chance of getting Tim Omundson on a commentary for season 4? (Though I wish he would be on the "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing" commentary, I know it's too late.

)
And for ALL OF THEM: A *HUGE* thanks for the commentaries and interviews! We Psych-Os love them and would like to see even more (I wouldn't mind one for every episode... even if Brittany in the Psych office does a podcast for them.) Oh, and keep Jason happy because he keeps us Psych-Os happy with his Twittering.
Producers: Will you please give Jason Berger a raise?

Hey, PsychWriters!
Beth in Michigan here.
First, thank you for making Friday nights worth staying home for.
Second, thanks for sharing behind the scenes info as to what goes into the making of the best show on television.
Third, thanks for taking on questions.
First question:
Is there any kind of story arc that you guys have been following for Season Four, as in, 'We're moving this character from here to here in each episode so that by the end of the season he(or she) will be over there;' or, are the episodes pretty much a freewheeling fun ride, like maybe the producers put a bunch of story ideas in a hat and the writers reach in and pull one out for each episode?
Second question:
Once your script has been turned in and rewritten twenty times, the writer's job is pretty much done. Is it true that the writers show up on set when their episodes are being filmed so that they can take advantage of craft services?

I get to ask Andy Berman a question......THE Andy Berman? Can't I just gush like a teenager instead? No? Not even to say how much I enjoy all your episodes and I think your appearance in "He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, oops he's dead" (also great title) is probably one of my favorites of the whole show? No, again? Okay.
So, I'm Sharon in Virginia and I'd like to ask if Andy Berman will ever be allowed to direct an episode or does he even want to?
Thanks for such a great show and keep up the good work!

Chicago, ILI have questions for both myself and my cousin. Me first (all about me haha!)
Psychwriters/producers: How far in advance do you set up your storyline ideas? And would you ever consider an episode that is shot in Vegas? I know budgets are tight, but that would be quite interesting.
Psychwriters/PAs/Assistants: Did you find "Psych" or did "Psych" find you. In other words, how did you all score such a sweet gig?
PsychPAs: Great job on keeping the series going (and keeping us Psych-Os going with with Twittering, and dag nabbit, tell NBC to bring back Shawn and Crouton - and pay Jason handsomely so he can afford the psychiatric treatments for portraying two fictional characters!)
Roday: Just to let you know, you have been claimed as a brother.
Roday: What possessed you to "sniff" the phone in Tuesday the 17th. I can't imagine it being written in the script. That was hilarious!!!! (Sorry, not a deep question, but HAD to ask.)
Dulé and Roday: How many shows do you both plan on producing? And what exactly is "producing"?
Dulé: I would love to see Guessica return this season! Can you help a sister out?
For ALL: I hope to see more Psych Drama. I love how you all mix it up. Great to see Dulé and Roday stretch in these characters. And of course, keep the Psych Funny coming...this is one show that makes me laugh out loud consistently.
Question from my cousin
Rhonda
Palatine, ILFor James and Psychwriters: Rhonda wants to know if Shawn will date another African-American girl on the show. If so, this is the list she wants you to consider:
- Nia Long
- Tatyana Ali
- Rosalyn Sanchez (well, we claim her as a sister)
- Raven Simone (not as a girlfriend but a stalker)
(
Yes, you can certainly laugh - this is quite tongue in cheek - but I must add, Shawn scored some serious points with the sisters on Christmas Joy *grin*):
For Dulé: This is more of a statement, Gus needs a woman on the show (preferrably bring back the character Jessica because they have great chemistry).
Thank you for allowing us to ask questions and again, thank you for making a great show!
From your rabid but kind sister-girl fans, BlackTsChica and TweetyGirl6 (yes, we truly are African American before you guys get nervous)

Oh, thought of another one!
Winky Cutto from Frog'R'Us again (or Sara from Nebraska/Tennessee, if you must)

Producers: Will you please give Jason Berger a raise?

I'm Mindel from Virginia, and I'm addicted to Psych.
*chorus of voices responds- 'Hi Mindel!'*
Lol ok question time-
James and Dulé- Do you do table readings and rehearsals for each script? How much time do you have to prepare between episodes? Do you prefer rehearsals or doing it more off the cuff?
James- As a director, what is your process to attacking the role of director?
Dulé- Will we be seeing a Dancing Dulé anytime?
Producers- Will we ever get more Behind the Scenes or EPK stuff? We love the Psych-outs but some more on set views would be great. For example, getting to see the directors working and the writers on set and the rehearsals and set-ups, it would be fabulous to see that!
Also, can we get all the Psych-out on Dvd sometime? Not just the outtakes, but the singing stuff also?
To Any- What would be your dream director or actor to come onto the show?

Hi, I’m Irish from the Philippines
First, thanks very much for giving us the best show ever--100% awesome!
Second, thank you for letting us ask questions.
Third, here's the list of my questions:
To James and Dulé: How similar or different are your personalities from the characters you portray in the show?
To anyone: Who writes the blog entries in the different social networking sites of Psych/ Shawn / Gus?
To the writers: (1)What do you do when you get “writer’s block”?
(2)Would there be a sequel to the “Mr. Yang” episode? The audience seemed to be left hanging.
(3)Is there a chance of getting Henry and Madeleine back together?
Fourth, here are my comments/ suggestions:
(1)Gus definitely needs a lovelife.
(2)Perhaps you could throw in some 90’s references occasionally for the “relatively” young audience.
P.S. When will the DVD Seasons 2 and 3 be released in the Philippines? (or in Southeast Asia at least)

I'm Kristen from Chicago.
First off, thank you all so much for making so many people laugh and bringing us quality programming every Friday night.
Writers/Producers: I know you mentioned in the Mr. Yang podcast that there were some reservations about the way Gus' character was used in the finale. Have there ever been certain aspects about a storyline that you all couldn't come to a compromise on?
Writers/Producers: Has there ever been something that has gone completely wrong on set that has sent everyone scrambling in order to complete episodes in time?
Writers: Do you have any rituals when writing? Do you have any places you go where you feel like you are the most productive?
James: When you directed Tuesday the 17th how much time did you take to prepare for that and were you nervous stepping up to the plate like that?
Producers: Will you please give Jason Berger a raise?

For the writers- We saw a different side of Shawn in the Mr. Yang episode, and it was wonderfully done. You were able to bring into the episode a sense of drama and seriousness without letting go of the lighthearted spirit of the show. My question- Will we see more of the serious/dramatic side of Shawn in future episodes? I know that no one, including me, wants to give up the frivolity that is Psych, but to see this every once in a while really helps to give deeper insights into these great characters. You've worked so hard to create and develop them, we'd like to get to know them better too!

James and Dulé- Keep up the great work. You've really got something awesome going on!
Thanks for this opportunity!

Edited to add another question of the writers- How did you come to decide on Cybill Shepherd as the pick for Shawn's mother?

Bryna aka BlackTsChica from Chicago, IL again, and I have questions from three special fans:
Posted on behalf of Rowan (11 years old), Claire (8 years old) and Samantha (11 years old) from Milwaukee, WisconsinFor Dulé and Roday:
- Is Gus actually a super-smeller?
- Is Shawn that funny in real life?
- Do either of them have any pets, and what are they?
Thanks!
EDIT:
One more question, this is from my friend from overseas!

Does James Roday really know how ride a bike?

Hello everyone who works on Psych! Thank you for making such a great show!
Anywho I'm Chelsea from Montana.
I dunno how much you guys have filmed, but I'm wondering now that Lassiter is single, what is in store for him in the love department? I'd love to see him get married, because it's always so sweet when he talks about wanting kids.
To James and Dulé, if you weren't a part of Psych, what would you like to be doing?

First and foremost, I'd just like to say how much I love Psych. It's been my main addiction ever since the pilot episode. Okay, on with the questions.
For the writers: There were some sparks between Shawn's parents in 'An Evening with Mr. Yang'. Do you have plans on bringing them back together? If so, will it possibly help strengthen Henry and Shawn's relationship?
For the writers/James and Tim: The Shassie moments* on the show, are they planned or do they just happen?
*Yes, these Shassie moments do exist. Don't worry, we all know Shawn and Lassie aren't really gonna get together. We know this because of all the Shules you force down our throats, but us Shassie fanatics can dream right?
For Dulé: I'm not sure if you've ever done this in any past episode but do you think you might bring out your tap dancing skills in season 4? Gus seems like the type of person who took tap as a kid. Plus, you make tap dancing look good.
Lastly, for James: This isn't a question but I just wanted to say that I loved the part in 'Rolling Kansas' when you say "I think I can speak for all of us when I say what the f***?!".
I guess that's about it. Thanks for the opportunity guys.

Hey, I'm Michael from Washington D.C., love the show (obviously or I wouldn't be here).
So I was noticing that as the 3rd season progressed Shawn has seemed to tone down his whole psychic act, offering less "paranormal" explanation and beating around the bush and more just spitting out what he's figured out. For example, he's stopped all the dancing and screaming and seizures, which are all hilarious, but can get tedious (especially when you watch a lot of episodes in a row).
So to get to it:
1) Is this a conscious decision to cut down on Shawn's antics?
2) Are you intentionally trying to turn Psych into a more serious show? (The season finale and and Tuesday the 17th both took on a much scarier, deeper tone, for example).
I think it's working, but then I would probably love the show either way.

Howdy. I'm Georgia from Texas.
As requested, here are a few questions for the Psych writers, producers, and cast.
FOR WRITERS & PRODUCERS:
-Are you ever going to include Tim Omundson in the episode commentaries/podcasts? Please? A lot of people really like the Lassiter character (myself included) and want to hear comments and insights from Mr. Omundson. At the very least he should be included in the commentary for the episodes "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing" and "Tuesday the 17th", since both have major Lassiter plot lines. The comments from the writers and producers are just spectacular and greatly appreciated, but we fans also would LOVE to hear more from the actors themselves about their experiences on the show.
-How are you planning to develop Lassiter's character in the 4th season? You left the character wide-open for some excellent growth with "Tuesday the 17th", showing that (a) he has a soft heart under that gruff exterior that can, in fact, be broken, and (b) he's deeper emotionally than previously thought. "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing" also shows the human side underneath his "Supercop" persona. I'm looking forward to seeing how you capitalize on that.
-WHY in the world do you have O'Hara and Lassiter out in the field without either a patrol rifle or shotgun in the trunk of the car? I'm a Police Officer, and NO ONE in my department hits the streets without access to a long gun. Even our plain-clothes detectives have at least a shotgun in the trunk. That just isn't realistic at all in modern police work - you NEED a long gun in case of active shooter situations. My suggestion - give Lassiter an AR-15 and O'Hara a Remmington 870 shotgun with a short shoulder stock. (It's quite in-character to have Lassiter heavily armed)
-Are we going to see more of Buzz McNabb in season 4? He's such an underrated character. How about an episode where Buzz saves the day? He is a cop after all, and even though he looks like a big ol' puppy, I'm sure he takes care of business when necessary. He should kick some butt then immediately go back to his happy-go-lucky smile as if nothing ever happened.
-Just want to say, THANK YOU for making such a great show. It's intelligent, well-written, and wonderfully entertaining. Such a breath of fresh air amongst the staleness that is modern network TV.
FOR JAMES RODAY AND Dulé HILL:
-Just want you two to know that we fans love hearing from you in the episode commentaries and podcasts. We really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedules to patiently answer our questions and interact with us on so many levels. Fan accessibility is rare in Hollywood these days, and it's refreshing to see you two "paying back" the fans. You two also have a fantastic "buddy chemistry" on screen that really makes the show come alive. Psych just wouldn't work at all without that strong, unyielding, Shawn & Gus friendship at it's core. It's a joy to watch great writing and acting every Friday.

Hey I'm Brian from New Jersey
I was just wondering what the friendship between James and Dulé is outside of the set. They have such great chemistry so I thought I would ask.
Also, any particular general goals this season? I felt like last one was focused on character development, anything like that for this season?
What characters can you hint at being discovered or revealed? Whether it's more siblings of Gus, past girlfriends of Shawn, or family members of Vick, Buzz, Lassy or Jules?
That's all I got, and thank you for everything.

I've asked James some questions via Michael Wryan but I'll see if I can come up with some more. While I'm doing that please tell James and Dulé how much I love Psych and am proud to be a Psych-o, the show is so funny and well written, as sarcasm said it makes me smile.
I love the psychouts you have at the end of the episodes they are great to watch and especially cool as I was always wondering how you guys keep a straight face, the out takes aren't shown in England and I was watching thinking how did they get through that scene? lol
Okay some questions
1) I would like to know if there's ever been a scene that was just too funny you couldn't film it as everyone was laughing. Or that it felt that way at the time.
2) For Dulé and James which has been your favourite episode to film and why?
3) For the writers I too would ask can we please have some 90's references too I'm only twenty five dude lol
4) James I thought the finale was so powerful and really showcased your adaptability as an actor. Do you think Shawn is changing and what do you think is responsible for that?
Also just wanted to say love the tweets from the writers room we get some great insight to your process, however what would be especially awesome if someone from the set could tweet. James and Dulé you would be very welcome on twitter I assure you
Also we have a comic con here too guys in London come pay the UK a visit some time
Thanks for letting us ask questions USA

This question is for the writers.
One of the many great things about Psych is the fact that the writers are as enthusiastic about the show as the fans are.
Is there any particular episode planned for this coming season that makes you want to do the Shawn & Gus bouncy 'Tigger' dance because it's so awesome and you know that the fans are going to love it as much as you do?

To the writers including James I also want to know if there will be another episode or sequel that has Mr Yang as this was such a great episode.
Any chance of Gus at least getting with a girl long enough for a kiss
Also Shules how much longer do we have to wait

Rebecca from Vancouver, BC, Canada
Questions for writers:- Do all those long rainy days in Vancouver bother you guys? Personally, I hate the consecutive three months' rainy days. It's so depressing. How does that affect your filming? Will you guys consider going back to LA for filming in the future?
- Will there be episode around Lassie and Shawn or around Henry and Shawn. Both teams had a lot of chemistry together, especially Lassie and Shawn.
- Are there any scenes showing Shawn's apartment? I am curious how it looks.
- Psych is described as dramedy. How many percentage of drama and how many percentage of comedy are there? If you don't agree, how would you classify the show?
- Shawn and Gus are like brothers or well, sometimes like Crockett and Tubbs in Miami Vice. So, will there be any chance they will have serious fight (but be friends again in the end)?
Questions for Dulé:- Will Gus have new love interest in the coming season? It's time he gets some action.
- Any more relatives of Gus will show up?
- Will Gus be solving the crime on his own, without Shawn be the centre of spotlight?
- Maybe Dulé can show off his tap dance skills in some episode.
- Your wife is pretty. Will she guest star in some more Psych episodes?
- Your chemistry with James is great on the show. How do you guys maintain this chemistry?
Questions for James:- Is the relationship between Shawn and Abigail going to be a long term thing? It will be interesting to see how Shawn keeps a steady relationship with a girl, instead of just first date.
- What is the toughest job for you, as actor, writer, producer or director, or all at the same time?
- What character development of Shawn we will expect in future episodes?
- How did you prepare your first director job? Btw, Tuesday the 17th is a great success. I love every scene in it. I hope you will write and direct more often. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work!!

Winky Cutto again (Sara, Nebraska/Tennessee)...
Writers/Producers: Why was the switch made from the spelling of "Lassy" in the 1st and 2nd season (in "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me, Oops He's Dead" and in captioning) to "Lassie" in the 3rd season ('Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing')?
Writers: How do you try to handle balancing the Shawn/Juliet dynamic with those fans who want "Shules" *now* with the other fans who don't ever want to see a "Shules" relationship on the show (unless it is in the 15th season and in a hospital in Seattle many seasons after they both left the show

)? Do you agree with the following quote: "Everyone is aware that once you get the two characters together you lose that glue that holds the show together, which is that sexual tension" (said by Emily Deschanel about the upcoming season of Bones, but I believe applicable to any TV show)?
James: Do you ever worry that calling your fans "rabid beasts (that rub themselves with the nectar that is Psych)" will alienate us?

Don't worry... we actually love it and are quite proud to be called Psych-Os
Producers: Will you please give Jason Berger a raise?

Oh shoot! I've been on vacation. I hope it's not too late.
I'm Kathy and I live in Sugar Land.
I'm happy to have the opportunity to thank you for Psych. It seems an uncommon show. How a really great song causes one to imagine the past and the future of the story that the lyrics present, Psych evokes a similar intensity of curiosity. Most comedies don't have that magic. I like it. So thank you..a lot.
I think of Shawn and Juliet every time I hear the Dire Straits song 'romeo and juliet'. Not exactly analogous but it kind of fits Shawn's reluctance and their poor timing. Is there any doubt that he would possess mad lute skills? Plus her name is right there in the title.
My question is for all of y'all. Kristen has touched on this with one of her questions, so I apologize if it seems to be a repeat. It's the only question I have.
How do you resolve the situation if a line or story arc isn't agreed upon? After 3 seasons I would imagine that the writers, the actors and the producers all feel an ownership(?) of the character(s). As showrunner, does Steve Franks have the final say on any dispute or does it come down to an old-fashioned bare-knuckles brawl or high-stakes game of Chinese checkers?
thanks again

Heay guys, my name is Mitchell and I'm from Gorinchem (try to pronounce that!
) which lies in The Netherlands.
I'm a huge fan and it is great that you want to please people from all around the world by answering our questions~!
Questions for the writers:
Steve Franks: How much personal identification do you see in the characters you created?
Does Chief Vick believe Shawn is an actual Psychic?
Why did you change Gus' super smeller to super sniffer?
A question for James Roday:
What triggered you to apply for the role as Shawn Spencer, and did you experience any difficulties while acting as him (examples please)?
Compliments:
The characters have great styling
Very good references to the small but realistic things in live such as having a Facebook account
Please stay true to what you have created, it is such a good formula, it even works here in Holland~!
Heel erg bedankt~! (which is Dutch for: many thanks)

To the writers...Have you thought about how it will be revealed that Shawn is not really psychic?
What actor / actress would you like to see appear on the show?
What character from a past episode would you like to see make a return appearance? (for me..its Nigel St. Nigel)

Hi! I am Teresa from Brisbane, Australia.
If it is not too late, and if anyone gets down this far (!!), I have two questions, both for Psych's writers:
1) What year was Shawn actually born in? (sorry if this is a dumb q. but I wonder if its meant to be 77 or 78??)
2) Will we be seeing more of Shawn and his Dad this coming season? (they are sooooo funny together)

This is so exciting, lol, I love this show so much!
From Abb in New Jersey
Ok, now with the questions:
Writers:
-Where do you get the ideas fopr every episode? They're all so creative!
-Is it hard to please everyone with the Shawn/Juliet situation? I would imagine because it seems like some people approve of them as a couple and some not so much.
James and/or Dulé:
-Do you find working as actors on Psych as work or more as a fun time?
-What are you're favorite foods? Lol, random.
Can't wait to hear the answers to our questions!!

Since i missed the first "Ask a Writer" on Twitter, i thought i'd put my questions here too in case i can't get through to them at psychwrites
So, as Jenna from New Jersey
producers/writers: Who decides where the pineapple will be hidden? Is it ever written in the script or does the props department get to choose?
Writers: How long,on average, does it take to write an episode?
Producers: Will you please give Jason Berger a raise?

I'm Tracey from Wisconsin
Sean gave little boy cat to McNab at the end of 9 lives. Are we ever going to see little boy cat and her many children?

What is the biggest challenge about filming in Vancouver even though it is supposed to be Santa Barbara?
Is it difficult getting things accomplished in the writers room (laughter, too may ideas...)?
Is it weird seeing your episodes on TV?
Love the show. Love the pineapples. Keep it up!

Hello SageMint from Massachusetts!! (My real name might not be pronounced correctly...sorry )
I enjoy the show and I have a few questions as well;
For James and Dulé :Will we get anymore wonderful psychouts with the two of you showing off your wonderful pipes? Because they are wonderful! I love when you two sing.
Also I have to ask has
Dulé ever thought about helping to write an episode with James helping?(or him on his own?)
For the writers/producers: Is there a psych musical in the works? If not there should be somehow later on in the season. I think it'll be one of the episodes that everyone will remember for the rest of their lives. As well as being one that everyone will tune into to. But not only that I think it will be a great opportunity to show off more of the wonderful talents of the cast.
Also for the writers/producers: Was it ever considered from anyone on the staff that Lassiter and Juliet would be together?(after Carlton got over his "separation"?) instead of a possible Shawn/Juliet relationship? I was thinking about this becasue I always thought that ever since they became partners, they would get closer later on and Juliet and Shawn would only be friends.
Thank you, that's it for now.

Beth from Michigan here, with a question for James.
As an actor, your scenes for Psych are often shot out of order.
[Personally, that sort of disorder would make my head spin!]
When you're writing, do you make up for the controlled chaos by writing in a linear fashion (beginning, then middle and on to the end)?
Or, do you tend to write as your muse inspires the scenes , with no telling what scene might show up on the first page that you write?

BlackTsChica here, I have a question for one of my co-workers:
Sudheer
Chicago, IL
Question for Dulé Hill:
Do you pay attention to how the young Gus' character is shaped in each of the episodes and in the web cartoon? Grownup Gus' character is significantly different (esp. in his relationship with Shawn) compared to that of young Gus. In the case of Shawn, that is not the case: young and old Shawn characters are pretty much the same.
Thank you!

QUOTE (pastrygrl83 @ Jun 10 2009, 07:36 PM)

Kat- Natchitoches, LA (good luck pronouncing my town)
This is for everyone, if you had a choice of a crossover with any current show which would it be?
I would love Burn Notice since Juliet is from Miami and we really don't know too much about her past (hint! hint!)
You know, I actually have a Roleplay going about that, Juliet is Seymour's little sister... it would make senes that they're from a cop family, Seymour's the nutzo black sheep, she's the good one following in the footsteps of the rest of the family....
But now to the actual questions (I'm sorry if these was already asked, since I only read the first page and the last ten posts, but....)
Caitiri (Pronounced like "day" not "die", with a teary at the end) from Chicago-ish, Il (Or the State of Insanity, as I like to say. I'm the Empress, you know.

)
To the writers: I agree with current trend: I want to see more of the characters backgrounds, other than Shawn and Gus. Seeing Juliet's family, for more than the nano-second in the "First Footer" scene of Gus' Dad Might Have Killed an Old Guy.
Have you ever thought of shortening the titles any? They're long as heck to type... wait, that wasn't a question... no, don't count it as one....
Damn, I'm down one. Wait, how many do we get? *...* It doesn't matter?! SWEET. Nevermind.
Um, I did also wonder if you would be carrying over the seriousness of the end of series 3 into series 4, or if you'll try to kick it up with a fun start. On the one hand, I think it'd be awesome to show that drama in "Mr. Yang" and its aftereffects in the next openning episode. Yet at the same time, starting in a light note is always a good idea.
Do you plan out the series further, like "Oh, I plan to do such and such, but not until series 6" or something like that? Have any of you thought about how it WILL end, when it does? Just wondering.
And for the website people:
WHAT HAPPENED TO LIL SHAWN AND GUS?! I loved those toons! Will you bring them back any time soon? I miss them. And will the Webisodes continue with series 4's premier?

ahoy! kelly from michigan here.
first of all, here's the thing - thanks for all the hard work & long hours all of you put into making such a brilliant show. you all truly know how to entertain.
okay, question: will it ever be possible to have a fan, as a guest, join in the fun & do some episode commentaries?? or even just one? i love listening to the commentaries on the DVDs and thought it would be sooo great to have a chance to sit in on a commentary and discuss an episode. maybe it could be a contest for the show??
and: i would love to have the show's theme song as my phone ringer! (thank you the friendly indians) or even a ringback tone. any possible way this could happen??
that's all i got for now. thanks guys! have a good day
much love - kelly

Tiffany from TX
For the Producers: It was mentioned on an audio commentary in season 2 that y'all thought it would be fun to bring back Hassenfeffer at some point. Has there been any thought put into how that could happen? Also, is there any chance we'll ever see any other past guest stars again? (My vote's for Hornstock!)
*EDIT: Jessica, too! I think it'd be fun to see Gus try and gloss over accusing her of murder.

"We'll be recording video interviews with Psych's writers/producers very soon"
How soon is soon?
Q.1: Will Gus get a girlfriend ever? His parents had a point, he'd have a girlfriend if he wasn't with Shawn so much. Even if she only lasted 3 or 4 episodes.
Q.2.: This was already mentioned, but they should have a sweepstakes for a fan to be on the show, I think you should have to do something to prove you should be that person, not just like a sweep stakes.
That's it for now.
I love you James and Dulé!

Hi! This is Caroline from Santa Barbara (by way of Pittsburgh, PA)...
Two questions:
1) How do you come up with all those crazy names for Shawn to call Gus? Or is it all James's on-set creativty and improvisation?
and
2) Can I come work for you? Seriously...it would make my life.
