Everyone seems to hate Dani, but really as much as i love E/O Dani and Elliot were cute togeather. Did anyone else like them togeather?

I actually really did like Dani. I thought she was a breathe of fresh air after seeing same ol' same ol' kinda thing- nothing against Mariska/Olivia. However I knew that Dani/Connie was only there for temporary and I think it's a pretty good excuse for Mariska not to be on the show while having her baby. I blame her nothing for that, especially since Mariska really wanted to be a mother. I also really liked the episodes as themselves too. I saw much more of the ensemble effort that was hardly there anymore, Munch had a good quality of screen time there as did Fin, Cragen, it reminded me of SVU seasons 1-5, as do the storylines by themselves.

As for Elliot and Dani...well...no I did not like the kiss BUT I'm glad it was Dani rather then Olivia. However I don't blame Dani for kissing him, if I were in her shoes I would have taken the opportunity myself! Also, it was Elliot who kissed Dani, not the other way around so Dani is not exactly to blame on that part either.
But, in my opinion, I think Elliot saw Dani as the two main women in his life: Olivia and Kathy. Dani was a cop, just like Olivia- understood the late nights, stake outs, interrogation, the ugly side of life everyday. Dani was also a wife of a cop, just like Kathy- understood the fustrations of waiting for her husband to meet her for dinner, for the fear that any day she would get the call that she's now a widow.

Is this topic seriously being brought up again??? This was like two years ago. Oh and I liked Dani but I didn't like the kiss. It made no sense, looked really stupid and just made me throw up in my mouth. Elliot kissing Dani made about as much sense as him kissing Cragen. I think the only reason the writers threw it in there was because they were bored, just like the viewers, and decided to throw in some drama...crappy drama mind you but drama. And for the record, Elliot and Olivia have ten times more chemistry then Elliot and Dani. Elliot kissing Olivia would have been hot! Elliot kissing Dani was so not!

Dani, now theres a name we haven't heard in a while. I liked the whole Elliot/Dani thing, I think she was a good match for him personality wise and she was certainly pretty enough to get his attention. Dani was only ever goingto be a dalliance for Elliot while he was seperated from Kathy, so it was all good imo. I would like to see Dani come back for a one off guest appearance on the show, just to see how awkward things might be between them now Elliots gone back to his wife. I would also love to see how Olivia reacts to the 'competition'. The only thing I didnt like about Dani was how heartbroken Elliot was when she left. Poor Elliot.

I liked Dani. She and Elliot were good as partners while Olivia was away. They’ve solved difficult cases together; however I don’t want Elliot and Dani end up together as couple. I’m glad he and Kathy are back together. The kiss? Can you blame the man? He was lonely. Wrecked. Kathy was all he could think about and wanted her back.

I think that would be very interesting! I've thought that myself; even going deeper into thinking that he and Dani slept together (and maybe a child). But that said, that's really crossing the line to a soap opera, and General Hospital is enough for me to handle!

I am happy that Elliot's back with his wife so...there you go.

I did not like Dani Beck, it didn't have anything to dowith the kiss, just not a fan. I never watch the episodes she is in.

Dani really wasn't that bad. She was not Olivia, true, but she did her job to the best of her ability, cared about the victims, and tried to be a team player. Nothing wrong with that. Actually, one of my favorite S8 episodes is one with Dani in it. (Underbelly)

As far as the kiss goes, think of it like this, someone had to be his rebound girl. And everybody knows the rebound never works out, so, did we really want Olivia to be the rebound girl? I don't think so. Dani filled that role, which, imo, is a good thing.

Good point! Liv would never allow herself to be a rebound girl simply because she knows El too much. LOL! She would see his desperate need to be close to a warm body.

Hated Dani especially that Little pointless connection between Elliot and her. Talk about a big Waste of episodes that could have been occupied by More EO. All i did throughout those episodes was Gag and cringe! *shiver*

That is exactly what I thought!!!! To me she seems like a mixture of Olivia and Kathy. You took the words right out of my mouth! Of course as an obsessive EO shipper I would have prefered that it was Liv (not in the rebound girl kind of way, the serious relationship sort of way), but I guess Dani was an okay temp. That was all she ever was, to the fans and Elliot. A temporary replacement for Olivia. I'm just glad that she gone, but the idea of her suddenly coming back to haunt us would be fun. I would kill to see Elliot, Olivia, and Kathy's expressions if she just walked into the room that they all happened to be standing in and said in this evil voice "I'm back!". If I were Elliot I would scream and run away!

Or occupied by how E/K are getting back together...and staying together

She could have been talking about the E/O partnership/friendship or just Elliot and Olivia period, we don't know. It should have been in the E/O thread yes, but there's no need to jump on the e/o vs. e/k two wrong's don't make a right train. Your better than that irish.

I commented to her and what I read in her post. A post that I just read it yesterday. She can tell me if I misread what she wrote. I read it as a E/O relationship...If she didn't want me to comment on it, then it should have been in the E/O thread. I keep my E/K comments out of that thread.

I actually said she herself should have written that in the E/O thread. And don't try and pull that card with me because you know I'll tell an E/O shipper to keep the shippyness in the appropriate threads in a hot minute. Did I say anything to you when you blaze and svulovesme were in the spoilers thread? No. So that whole "E/O can do whatever the want and E/K can't" isn't going to work here. I've even called out some of my E/O friends for posting in the E/K thread. This is about the 3rd or 4th time this has happened within a week. And that's annoying me not only because you're a moderater, but a grown woman who shouldn't be stooping to such an adolescent level, your better than that irish. I'm sick of that on this baord. Everyone has to do it because the other person does it. You just read it today. Why try and start something now a month later? Would you like for me to go back and find your past previous E/K post and bring them back up? let stuff go sometimes.

You don't know what she was trying to say so you try to get even by bringing up E/k? What is this highschool? Just because a person says E/O doesn't mean they mean the actual relashionship. Whether or not you misread her, I'm going to respond because I'm getting tired of this.

I don't comment in the E/K thread either especially when somethimes you're talking about the E/O shippers themselves instead of the actual ship. We may talk E/K under the dirt, but at least we don't bad mouth or tease you guys. That just goes to show the level of respect and maturity on this board. You are right, this is a fictional show and people are passionate about the people and the characters. If they weren't, this and other boards are around.

I understand you apologized. But you werent the only one speaking E/K and I said nothing to anyone. I also realize you edited your original post but what was said was said.

My thing is. I don't want people to start arguing again over E/O vs. E/K. I have no problem telling a E/O shipper to stay in the appropriate thread. If people didn't argue about the ships on the show, I would careless who wrote what, where. But since it is a problem, it needs to be nipped in the bud now.

I believe that nipping things in the bud is the job of the moderator. As far as I can see, the only thing IrishEyes did was respond to a post. People are free to respond and agree or disagree. But picking a fight and trying to make it look like she was the one who started it is what's adolescent.

Irisheyes responded to the post knowing it would piss people off. That's my problem. I don't know how much you come over here. But ususally when people start talking ships out of the appropriate thread starts arguments around here. She knows that, and yet she responded in the way she did.

Moderators can suspend for a determined length of time, but cannot ban someone completely. I think we are all still learning how the various moderator "powers" work. I know there have been a couple of times I thought I suspended someone, but they continued posting. So it's a learning process.

I think I suspended her, but she was able to PM me. Then immediately blocked me again...definitely a learning experience...I didn't know I had the okay to suspend until a few weeks ago...

AND....it looks like next week will be Nichols and Eames, when Wheeler goes into labor and has to leave in the middle of a case. And the last episode of the season will be Eames with Nichols again. I can't wait!

And since we have gotten WAY off topic on this poor thread, I'll just throw in my 2 cents. I liked Dani; I thought she and Elliot worked well together, and she certainly got an education with SVU. The kiss? I thought it was OK. For me it kind of flowed from the emotion of the case they had worked and Dani's difficulty adjusting to sex crimes. I'm just glad it was nothing more than a kiss because I really didn't see that kind of "chemistry" between them and it would have been hard for me to buy into.

I didn't mind seeing Dani in the six episodes she was in, but I also didn't mind seeing her go after the six episodes were over...lol

I liked Dani in a couple episodes... one of my favorite all time episodes is "Recall." And I liked her toughness on perps... what I didn't like is how she treated the victims... I also hated moments between her and somebody else that I can't mention here.
