Loosely based upon Eric L. Haney's novel Inside Delta, the show is based upon the exploits of the US Army's 'Delta Force', otherwise known as The Unit.
The Unit conducts clandestine and covert operations for the US Government and the US Army around the globe. The Unit operates under the cover of the 303rd Logistical Studies Group. Carrying the operators through battle is the knowledge that while they are out in the field, their wives help maintain their lives back home.
They protect their identities, ensuring that their secrets are kept safe from those who would use this knowledge against them.

This show was ended in its prime May 2009, showing great intestinal fortitude through the eyes of the military elite. This show brings great entertainment, drama, and foresight to the US Armed Forces and was one of the last Patriotic shows of the era. Lets keep this story going by bringing it to one the most entertaining cable networks in history USA!!!!!!!

I agree Bionic. There are few shows on television which shows any potential of supporting our troops. This show does it well. Also, if one watches the show long enough and learns to "read between the lines" then one will learn a few things about the Army. Being a veteran myself, and with 2 sons enlisting (one in 2010 the other in 2013) they get a small amount of education. One thing it does show no matter if your in the Unit or not--- spouses of our service personnel also need our support. They work together as a team. And they can either make or break the soldier's career. Just look at the Colonel and his ex-wife.
Therefore, bring it on USA-- support our show, support our soldiers and their families. Don't let this show die.

I too being former Army enjoy the show, and I think its great entertainment for those who like diehard action but also want a great story with life lessons to include a patriots heart!!!

Please add this show to your network. I love In Plain Sight & this show would be awsome right before or after it. I watched the Unit weekly so I would definatly continue on your network. Please don't let this show go completely off the air.

All too right, BionicOne. This show is in it's prime and it would be a travesty to end it. I have found so many people that I know that don't even have a military background that thoroughly enjoy the show. For those of us who have served in the military, not always necessarily on the front lines, this show brings to your attention the dedication and sacrifice that our service-men & women are willing to give everyday.

I think it was a stupid decision by the network to move the show to the time-slot on Sunday nights and that it was underhanded to cancel the show without notice. My family and I watched the show religiously and looked forward to every week. I really hope that USA will seriously consider picking this show up. There is so much more to tell.

The addition of the series "The Unit" would enhance the viewership and prestige of the USA Network beyond measure.
Adding to great lineup of "Burn Notice", In Plain Sight", the "Law and Order" spinoffs, this show will show your business intelligence
and expose the CBS team for what they are. Make the USA in your name really mean something.

I TOTALLY AGREE with all the comments about "The Unit". It is my favorite TV show of ALL TIME. What intensity!!! And I think it gives us civilians a glimpse of military life. What a screw-up by CBS. I think it would be great on USA. It is about the only network I watch anyway, "The Unit" would just be icing on the cake.......PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get it done, USA !!!! It would make me VERY HAPPY!!!!

pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bring the unit back, the show is awsome. i can't believe they decided to shut the show down wen everyone i no loves the programme. I am also a 24 fan but i think the unit is a better show. i am from the uk and have just watched the last eppisode and was very very very disapointed to hear that it was it for the show I dont no if any of you lot ever watched the E Ring but that was a equally awsome show and that also got took off the air. PLEASE SOMEBODY GET THIS SHOW BACK ON. Its 10 times better then shows like lost etc.

My husband and I have just watched the last episode of the unit and we both sat there for ages in absolute shock. The unit is the best show out there at the moment and we are gutted its been axed. We over here in the uk absolutely love the unit and will do all we can to help get this show back on. So please somebody have some sense and please keep the people who actually watch the show happy, which is the sole purpose of making tv shows I thought...!!!!!!!

I never tried this before, but in the hope that someone at the networks with brains may be reading this: Please bring back the UNIT. I was shocked that some dope decided it wasn't worth renewing.

I loved this show. CBS killed it by showing it on a Sunday as any sport that was played that day would for the most part overrun and pushed it back to an even later time slot. For those who would DVR it we would get fed up of losing the end (or sometimes most) of the show and would just watch it online instead. This is probably something they didn't take into account when looking at viewer ratings.

If any show was broadcast as sporadically as the Unit was they wouldn't survive either! You never knew when it would be on with a new episode and even then if you'd get the full show.

I hope this is picked up by another network. USA network will be fine with me!

I just joined to cast my vote to bring The Unit back. This show really touched me and a few others that were in the military. To take it away is an insult to all the Soilders that were in Special Operations Units, that enjoyed this show.

This is a travesty! This is one of the best Action Drama shows that I have ever seen on TV. There are not many shows like this and really need it to come back. Please USA bring back one of the best Military shows that gives it true support to the men and women of our United States Armed Serveices. The executives at CBS are nothing but morons and only want reality shows which are getting more stupid by the day! Miss the days of TV without scripted reality TV!

Been there..done that! Live it! The Unit is the epitome of teamwork. This program shows right now situations and they do not flinch when they deal with hostiles. It is all about the mission and yet they have their family moments entwined in the story. This is as close to living the real thing as you are going to have documented. To remove such a well written and well played story that will live in the annals of military weekly combat shows like "COMBAT" depicting WWII. Most shows have the 'good guys' always narrowly escaping, but these guys have been shot, tortured, beaten, one was killed, dumped on and made the scape goat...how real world do you want? That is the kind of realism I want to keep tuning into each week. I looked forward to seeing THE UNIT each week. I want to continue to look forward to seeing THE UNIT each week. There is not another show out there that can replace this kind of drama and action and keep it on the real side. They tried to keep the fact up front in our faces that TERRORISM is real and it is all around us...we need to be kept up to date and this is the show to do it. Bring it back at all costs...!!

I votes yes but don't think it will happen. Cable networks cant usually support a high priced show. Evn if they moved production to Canada I don't think there are to many stand in places up there to fill in for the sandy deserts of Afghanistan.

This is a sad day when shows that honor the fighting men of this country are laid to waste by shows that promote gratutious sex, violence, and low, almost empty moral character. This show exemplifies self-sacrafice and dedication to ones country but the few that run Hollywood are uninterested in this. This was literally one of the last shows that made me even desire to watch TV.

Although I'm not/have not been in the service, this is still a great show. It doesn't portrait them like Rambo, but is as realistic as can be. It has good writing and acting. I would definitely watch it on USA and would be thankful they picked it up. I'm also sure it would make me check out more of their programming, thus earning them more revenue.

I agree 100%. The unit was an amazing show and I still can't believe it was cancelled. My husband has been in the Army since 2004, and has watched this show since the beginning. It's just sad. This was one show that brought us closer together. Sunday nights after the kids are asleep, got a nice big bowl of popcorn, just laying on the couch watching The Unit....... the best......I would like to know what more can be done on the pucblic's part to make this more well known, and so that millions more can see this forum, and vote in the polls, to get this show back on the air! PLEASE USA!!!!!!!! DO SOMETHING!!!!! There will never be another show like it!

I agree... The Unit was way better than dozens of shows they kept in their lineup. I said from day one that The Unit belonged on USA... being a USA caliber show (I felt). Since its been cancelled (to mine and everyones dissappointment) USA should pick it up. Its one of the best shows on TV in a long time.

The Unit is one of the best shows that was on tv. I always looked forward to Sunday night when the show would come on here at 9. It was a good way to end the day. I have been in the military for almost 12 years and The Unit is one of the most realistic/exciting shows I have ever seen. I have all the seasons DVD's here and watch them on a weekly basis. Please, please bring The Unit back for another season on the USA Network.

I'm so tired of watching good shows for a few seasons, just to have them canceled. Replaced by some forensic, reality, ghost, game, lame, same old crap show!
There was a quote in Readers digest I'll never forget. And it pertains to the "regular" networks. "If you see the bandwagon go by, its too late to get on it".
All ABC, CBS, NBC, & FOX want to do, is what each other is doing. Boring, mundane, useless TV.

I do wish that USA Network would pick up THE UNIT, it would fit it well with other shows such as BURN NOTICE and those of similar genre and already has a built in audience; And yes I agree with others here it is better than many other offerings on television.

I'm like everyone else. I was with the unit from the first episode and loved every one. I've signed petitions and all sorts of stuff to try to get them to bring The Unit back. Since CBS doesn't have the brains to keep a good show, I hope USA has the brains to pick it up too. It may be costly, but it would be worth it to USA networks to pick it up and run with it. I don't think they realize the following that The Unit has - it's a HUGE following!!!
