Since you always advertise that characters are welcome, please pick up the Unusuals from ABC. The writing is great, the acting is great, and it's everything that you could want. Please don't let this show be cancelled. PLEASE!!!

You beat me to it! Good idea to post this suggestion here! There is a EW blog discussing what shows people want saved and what network should pick them up (maybe you already know this) and several people have said USA should pick up The Unusuals. So let's get this thread moving, shall we?! Tell everyone to post here. The USA admin is not known for paying attention to the boards, but maybe if enough people say something they'll notice.

This is a great idea! I really hope that USA takes on The Unusuals since ABC is stupid for canceling it.

I think this is a fine idea as far as quick wins go for USA. The tricky part is always the money and the projected eyeballs to raise the money to make the show.

This thread got me to register on the site...one vote from the early 30's demographic...

I completely agree - The Unusuals is a fantastic show, and the USA Network is the perfect home for it. Please consider picking it up - ABC's loss will be your gain, for sure!

I also agree - the Unusuals is an excellent and very entertaining show. It would help continue the 'tradition' of Monk and Psych (especially since Monk is entering its final season). These kinds of shows have made me a big USA Network fan, and these kinds of decisions (The Unusuals, some other recent cancellation) have virtually eliminated ABC from my watchlist.

What a great idea! The Unusuals is a favorite at my house, one of the only shows my husband and I both look forward to (another being Psych). USA would be a perfect home for this quirky, amazing show.

I emailed the USA admin and asked how to request them to pick-up a show other than the message board thread. They kindly responded back and here's their reply...
"First off, not to be discouraging, but I think the odds of USA picking up any canceled shows from another network are extremely small. But the best way to get your message to the network is to use the form at the bottom of the feedback page:

Select "USA Network Programming", then "Suggest a Program". People from programming regularly check the emails, though don't expect a response because we get hundreds of messages a day.

There's also a mailing address on the feedback page if you want to send an actual letter. One real letter is worth a hundred emails, since it takes more effort to send. "
So there you go, that's what we'll need to do to have a chance! Let’s start sending emails to the correct place and mailing our letters folks!

Also, USA Powers That BE: Please note that I am the only one to post (so far) on this thread that is a regular forum visitor on the USA boards! All these other people came here for the purpose of pleading for you to pick up our show! ABC does not promote the show AT ALL! No commercials, no advertisements anywhere. USA always promotes their shows extremely well! If someone actually invested the time and effort into to promoting this show it would go far; definitely far enough to make it worth the effort! Give it a chance please!

The Unusuals is one of the most original, fresh, entertaining shows I have seen in a long time. Most shows take awhile to grow on me, but the storylines and the characters had me hooked from the first episode. PLEASE give strong consideration to picking up this show. It would be a shame to have this die after so few episodes. I think they would all fit in fine at USA.

I feel ABC is making a big mistake letting this show go. I really hope someone at USA sees what a well-written, well-cast, original show this is. The Unusuals following Burn Notice would be a great evening's viewing. Please at least consider picking this up.

This is one of the very few shows worth watching this season. I often try new shows and drop them after I give them 5 episodes. This show just sort of snuck up on me and I love it. Please pick up the unusuals and prove once again that the big three networks are clueless!

The UNUSUALS would be a fantastic edition to USA. It would fit right in with MONK and Psych. It is quirky, fun, and has great actors/actresses. It is addictive, and I'm sure it would be a big hit on your network. Please give it some serious consideration, ABC is really making a huge mistake to let this gem go!

The Unusuals is an amazing show. I loved how in the first couple(or maybe it was just the pilot) when the Dispatcher would mention some bizarre crime, and then later in the squad room you could see the criminals. In fact the dispatcher voice overs are great. The acting is great, the writing is great, the plots are fun.

Its a great show. That and I am a fan of Amber Tamblyn.

The Unusuals is meant for USA Network. When I first saw it I thought what is this doing on ABC?? It is the only other show I have made a point of watching week in and week out. The other show is Monk. PLEASE PLEASE PICK UP THE UNUSUALS.

I already miss the unusuals, I keep hoping that a smarter network will grab it and bring it back.
It is a great show, funny and very different from anything else out there right now.

the unusuals is a show with some serious game... and abc in their usual stupor has not given it a fair shot. the characters are loaded with usa type charm, quirkiness, and foibles. i can see michael weston and mary holding a welcome party for the everyday freaks in the unusuals. come on, usa, listen to us... please, please give serious consideration to picking up this fantastic ensemble show; you are our characters' last best chance! and, after all, don't you guys advertise yourselves as THE HOME of characters... put out a welcome mat for the unusuals!

I registered an account for these forums soley for this show, although I love most the shows on USA, but I was searching the net for anyone out there trying to save this show and found a link to this forum thread.


This show is good for more reasons then can be feesibly listed, from scripting, to chemistry, to story, characterization, settings, dialogue....the list goes on.


My lord if there were anyway for usa to pick it up I would be estatic.
