New shows that looked good enough for a fall pick-up are fine-tuning their casts before going into production.

For starters, CSI alum Louise Lombard will not be making the trek to NCIS: Los Angeles, despite having appeared in the two NCIS episodes that served as a backdoor pilot. The spin-off instead will recast its female lead.

I don't know if the actress is replaced or the character is replaced. Maybe they'll have somebody else play Special Agent Macy or maybe there won't be any Macy. Nonetheless, Louise Lombard is off the show.

This is a mild shocker for me.

wow.. she seemed outta place on CSI but she seemed to be a really good fit in the spinoff pilot. Too bad.

CBS doesn't even have Macy's character listed on their cast page....

So I guess they just won't have a "Macy" or they'll replace her with a new director later???

She's the director (or was...I guess) of the NCIS:Los Angeles team.

oh,okay. i misd it so

She's the Gibbs of the LA team, although the way everything's laid out it almost makes her look like the director. I didn't much care for her (the actress) when she was on CSI. No special reason, it just didn't seem like the part suited her, same with NCIS: LA.

oh okay. I didn't get good internet access in Florida over the summer in June. Plus,it never even crossed my mind.
