Hi Matt here,

I just wanted to know your opinion on Psych and how many seasons
you think there will be.....i think around 10 seasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People HATE this question on the boards. It makes them to think about it. I'd like to see it go 7 seasons but only if the core group of writers stay. Sometimes the longer a show airs, the later shows feel less genuine if written by new writers. Like a copy of a copy. So selfish of me to want to shackle them to their desks but I can't help it.

Hard question! I'm dreading the day it ever ends...

If it must end, I'd rather that occur before the genius starts to taper off. Steve Franks has mentioned 7 seasons before, but the closer we get to that number, the more I want to push it a little higher. 7 seasons would mean we're almost half-way through its run! I am not a fan of that idea!

OOh..10 would be cool!! Even 7 seasons would be great. Whatever Psych Peeps think would be good is fine with me, I trust them. They will know when to pull it (just like the Monk folks..they are going out on top!!).

I look forward to what the cast, crew and writers will do after Psych. They have such a bright future ahead of them. So I know they will all go on to bigger and better things!!

LOL!!! Psych will be hard to top, but I think of it like Will Smith. I LOVED The Fresh Prince and he was able to do movies during the show (which the Psych cast, crew, writers can do as well). After The Fresh Prince, Will Smith blew up! He's into the stratosphere. So our peeps are just as talented and can do awesome things too.

i want the show to go on until it isn't good anymore. hahah.

and lets see...shawn and gus are 32ish now right? so soon they might get a bit too old/mature for their antics?

i just dont want it to end any time soon. i want like..4 more seasons, at least still.

what i'm more interested in is how it will end. will shawn confess to not being psychic or will they end it w/o telling anyone?

I don't know. Will Smith has certainly done bigger things, and very different things. But I don't know that it was "better" than Fresh Prince. You kind of can't compare any of his more recent work to that show.

So I can see everyone having bigger jobs in the future, but Psych will always be set apart from the rest so far as I'm concerned. I will forever have a huge soft spot for our beloved show!




I can't imagine they wouldn't, just like Shawn and Jules getting together seems to be an assumed conclusion-or at least a sign of the show winding down. But I'd be really excited for them to surprise us instead! (...Especially on Shules...) If anyone could do it, the Psych writers can!

Really! I liked his movies way better than Fresh Prince. I guess the point I'm making is that there will be life after Psych for these guys because they are so talented. Ah! That's what I'm saying! Whooho!

Quality-wise, yeah. The movies are better. I will never be able to compare his television career with his movies, though. Just like I'll never be able to compare any of the future endeavors of those involved in Psych with anything else they do. I think it's a sentimental thing.

I'd like to see it go to the aforementioned 7 seasons, possibly a little more. I agree that as long as the current writers keep writing for Psych it'll stay entertaining until the end. I think another big part of what makes Psych a fantastic show is the guests. Most of the guests that they've had have given us viewers more of an insight on Psych's original characters. Plus, the cast has pretty good chemistry...I don't see Psych ending any time soon.
